I just had to quit ever shopping at Kohl's because of a failure to allow me to return a defective belt that I bought. First, contrary to written policy, the manager said that I had to have the original tag (on a belt) and then said that they could not look up my purchases using my card history. Of course she was able to do so at my insistence, and then told me that it was not returnable due to not making the 120 day deadline. She was abusive to me, rude, and not looking to solve the problem. I called Capital One and voided the card, but you will never find me at Kohl's again after this unpleasant experience. If she had not lied to me and been so rude, I would have been happy to just purchase another belt. However, I will never be treated this way again. read more

Disorganized, front end is a mess, one register open for purchases and returns and they refuse to open another register for returns when someone was having a return issue waited 23 minutes to be able to do my return, long wait times, unhelpful and unfriendly staff are annoyed when you don't want to use self checkout... overall terrible location!! read more

Koh's Danvers shoe department is a train wreck. Stock is thin, disorganized, can't get a price, mismatched sizes in the boxes... I understand the need for inventory control (i.e. anti-theft) devices , but trying on shoes when they're chained together is awkward at best. It is a pleasure to know that the Kohls that I have shopped for years has consistently been a positive experience! This particular Kohls is no exception! The Staff and of course the Manager that was on Staff DENIELLE, really takes care of their CUSTOMERS especially if you approach them and ask nicely for their help..... they WILL HELP YOU. Even the Cashier KRISTEN WAS INSTRUMENTAL in helping me with the MANAGERS INSTRUCTIONS! Customer Service at Kohls is really second to none, maybe that's why all my Shopping needs in every Dept is done at Kohls and Not any other Large Retail Stores. The selection here is amazing and prices so reasonable plus Clearance items get even more savings if you have a Kohls Charge card since they reward you with additional percent off, and not to gloss over KOHLS CASH as an added incentive. I returned two items thru Amazon Returns that had two different QR Codes but I was given only one confirmation. Only one item was refunded. I tried to call them with no success since system has only automated answers, I tried to get online help but the guy said they do not have access to Amazon Returns in their stores and gave me another useless number to call, then he gave me direct number of the store at Liberty Mall in Danvers, MA and this number has only automated messages. It means I have to drive back to the store and try to find somebody/anybody who is able to help. I returned some things a few months back and was given a credit on my account for $26 and change. The credit suddenly disappeared. I called (I think India) to find out where my credit was and was told they mailed me a check 05/06/22. I called back about a month later and was told they would re send it. I prefer this Danvers Kohls to the other store in North Andover, which is always messy and trashed. The departments seem neat and organized. They do seem to have short staff at registers but they are friendly. Wish they would not always ask about opening a charge, but all stores do that. This is a go -to store for my clothing budget, along with TJ Maxx. read more

Don't bother going here unless the item you want is on sale...otherwise it is just as expensive as a regular department store. The only exception is shoes; they have a nice selection at a good price. Yep, it's a Kohls. This particular location seems to be in better shape than the one in Chelmsford and Woburn though - the dressing rooms don't have a strange, soapy scent, and the clothing is actually folded and on the rack properly! As with any other Kohls, be shrewd with your coupons and sales because everything is absurdly marked up. Then again, everything is ALWAYS "on sale", so the sale prices really are what you should be paying for in the first place. There's also a bit of a demographic gap - if you aren't a teenie bopper or a menopausal woman, you might have difficulty finding young adult fashion that looks tailored. It takes a bit more work. I would suggest avoiding the shoes though (with the exception of the sneakers) because many of them are not real leather and cheap quality for the price you pay. This Kohls isn't a special exception though, since they all roughly offer the same kind of merchandise. read more

The return process could not have been slower. This is the second time I have tried to make a return at the store and been displeased. I'm not going to name names, but will give you a hint. It was last Saturday the 29th of August around 1:30 in the afternoon. Two male cashiers, one female. The male cashier with beard is the biggest loser I have ever met in my life. Every single person that has to deal with this guy agrees. If he doesn't like working retail, get another job. He is the most condescending person I have ever had to deal with. He literally holds you hostage. Tsk tsking under his breath with a passive aggressive attitude. Strike 3!!! I should have listen to my gut when placing this order. Placed an order for curbside, only placed this order due to it being ready today within 2 hours. Now 4 hours later 25 mins til close and just spoke to the person at curbside and told it will not be ready today. Asked about canceling the order and told Id have to wait until I pick it up to return it. Off to target to spend another $400 for the same product. I can't wait to see what hoops I'll have to jump through to get my money back this time. I'll also be returning be another $700 or $800 from purchases last week in NH. ugh. i get so overwhelmed in here. i should be on meds for anxiety and i'm not. that being said, this place gives me swampass. it's not the kind staff, it's not the plentiful, cheap inventory, and it's not the organized but chaotic setup. it's the nutbags who show up with their aunt bea and their cousin sandy and crawl up your ass while you sift wearily through the clearance gym clothes, making sure they grab the fila sports bra before you do. it takes patience and skill to truly come out a winner, and i ain't got no. not with borderline geriatrics rockin their easy spirits up me bum. all you want to do is wipe out that gift card you got for christmas, but god forbid you go near a floral blouse or a sensible pair of pleated slacks before gertrude does. god dammit. i get so stressed out in that place. no, i don't want your merchandise, grams. let me buy a new pair of pants for the gym so i actually have motivation to go for the next two weeks before the pants lose their novelty factor. i actually walked in the other day, then got so worked up that i had to leave. i feel like i need to go in with a pair of huge sunglasses and a big burly man and pretend i'm a celebrity so they'll shut the place down and i can shop by myself. the deals at kohl's are amazing, and i've walked out with GEMS before. they have a great, easy, non-interrogating return policy and i've made out like a g.d. bandit in here. my favorite sports bras, the aforementioned filas, were a christmas gift card redemption purchase last year. the sale prices, mark downs, clearance slashers, WHATEVER are fantastic. kohl's was my go-to when i moved into my first apartment. i think i just need to see my pcp and get on some drogas before shopping in the clothing section again. cutthroat ladies with short legs and shorter haircuts are the only thing keeping me from this place. i think i'm just going to walk in through the mall entrance, grab a home item, swipe the gift card, and get the h out of there. i wish crazies didn't shop there and taint (haha) my shopping experience. read more

I'm not afraid to admit it. I shop at Kohl's and I love it. What I love about it is that if you see something you like but don't feel like it's quite worth the price printed on the tag, you can wait a month or so and it'll most likely be 60% off or more. The clearance racks are where it's at, with stuff routinely marked down to 80, even 90% off. Granted, some of the clearance merchandise is stuff even my grandfather wouldn't wear, but if you have some patience you can find some great deals. Maybe I just hit it at the right times, but the Danvers location seems to have way more clearance racks than any of the other stores in the area. Saugus is good, too. Yeah, maybe some of their clothes aren't of the highest quality, but if you get it dirt cheap, do you really care all that much? Not me! As far as non-clearance clothing, they are constantly having sales on basics like solid polos, underwear and socks, etc. I'm not sure how the selection is for the plus-sized ladies, but I wish Kohl's would expand into the realm of big and tall sizes for men. They carry up to XXL in store for shirts, but I've not seen much in tall sizes. And I can forget about buying pants here. Like most other stores, they carry sizes for the short and wide, short and skinny, tall and skinny, but not the tall and wide. read more

He was about to give me a total of $20 credit when I questioned. He said "no receipt, no full credit'. I said "no return" then and walked out. Idiot for wasting my time. read more

Had forgotten why I don't shop here... Now I'm reminded why!! The employees don't acknowledge customers. I was shopping in a specific section for a couple hours without any of the nearby employees saying hi or asking if I needed help finding anything! The racks in the intimates section weren't organized by size which made finding the right size UTTER HELL! Then my mom and I went to the register to check out, me empty handed and there only being one register open! The cashier didn't even acknowledge my existence and let a customer ramble on and on about this that and the other thing! There were TWO announcements over the intercom asking for more cashiers, none came! Finally my mom just put her items down on a random shelf and we left! Not giving you any money! Worst management ever!!! Been waiting in line to pick up order for over 30 minutes. Only 1 cashier on duty with 15 people in line. I called the store directly to speak with a manager stating more help was needed after waiting in line 15 minutes. The girl on the register (Julie, the only one open) had to answer my call!!!! Seriously? She was very pleasant and connected me to the manager. The manager Helen however was not pleasant. I told her she had a line out the door and her assistance was needed. She bluntly told me that 4 people were in the way down and hung up. ??? After 5 minutes 1 person showed up and 10 minutes after the 2nd. It was finally my turn and was lucky enough to get Julie to help me. She had to look up my order, leave the desk and go back to the store room to retrieve my items and I was still finished before the 2 people in front of me were. The other 2 people The manager Helen stated abruptly were "on their way" still hasn't arrived when I left. However, the line double in size. Helen should be at the customer service desk, NOT having whomever is working answer her calls! Terrible management! This is the largest and best Kohl's I have been in. Everything is well organized and I found the staff very helpful and friendly when I needed help with some furniture. They even helped me out to the car on a very rainy day. I like this Kohl's better than the ones in Burlington and Reading. I always find bargains and love the coupons, the rewards gift and the fact that you can spend $50 and get Kohl's cash. I buy as much as I can at Kohl's. read more

I love that this is a huge Kohl's, and they certainly have a nice selection. But unfortunately, I went in about a week ago and there was construction that made the whole store smell. I'm not trying to be mean, but my head hurt by the time I left the store, and for another 15 minutes afterward. When my mother asked if I could purchase something on her card while she stepped away from the fumes, they said it wasn't allowed (even though she was trying to give permission then and there!). Maybe I can give them a better rating when the construction stops. They certainly do have good deals on things, including $5 Eric Carle books for kids! read more

I usually do not write Yelp reviews, but I felt obligated to share my experience. I went to Kohl's the other day and once I had the clothes I wanted I went up to the check out line. The line moved pretty fast but it was the experience with the cashier that made me frustrated. The cashier asked if I had a Kohl's charge card and I said no. He then gave me a little speech about why I should sign up for a card , which is reasonable because that is part of his job. I politely told him I do not want one. He then gave another little speech how it I should still try to sign up, and I still said I do not want one. However, after he was done ringing up my purchases, he changed my actual price to the price it would if I had signed up for a charge card. I said no again with a of bit of tone and he responded," Hey, I'm just trying to save you money". This experience really made me angry because they make commission of off every customer they sign up for Kohl's Charge Card. Additionally, this cashier knew that I did not want to open a account because I had repeatedly told him no. In the future, I hope that him and the other cashiers are not as pushy as he was during my experience shopping at Kohl's. read more

I love Kohls. They have great deals..My favorite part about this store is if you are unhappy with a purchase you can return it no questions asked whatsoever even without a receipt... Also recently I had a late fee posted to my account after I was a day late with my payment and was able to get rid of it in 1 minute using an automated phone system. I love that! Some of you have complained about the in store service in Danvers, I cannot comment here as I have never experienced it but then again I don't like people bothering me when I shop. read more

They have stepped big, not only providing fundraising donations to our non profit (Danvers National Little League) but have also provided us with employee donated time to actually help us run our various events. I used to love this store. The selection is great but the employees could use some training in how to not be so damn rude. Ok so I don't look like the typical customer. I wear jeans and sweats most of the time but doesn't everyone? But on a chilly rainy day I shopped there wearing a hoodie due to the lack of an umbrella that day. Well I was stared down and followed the entire time I was there. I was made to feel uncomfortable just because of what I was wearing. Maybe if I was carrying an empty duffel bag and hid my face more it would be suspicious. But my hood was down, and I carried a small purse. I was polite to the employees and even other customers. Most of the employees that day were younger, "stylish" types too so maybe because I don't look a certain way or wear certain brands I'm a scummy shop lifter. If a business expects to make money they should treat the customers with a little more respect. And Im not the only one they did this to. I get treated better at Target and Macys. read more
