Plus check out the beautiful home decor. The style of Sundance, founded by Robert Redford, is relaxed, casual boho chic. They have lots of silver jewelry with touches of turquoise and coral; clothing in sand and shades brown with colors of a warm desert sunset mixed in; home decor in the same warm, earthy hues. I find it very soothing. Many of the sweaters and clothing items have Aztec prints or soft floral designs. Lots of calf length cardigans and big oversized sweaters which are even more popular this year during Covid when people are seeking loose, comfortable clothing. Their jewelry speaks to me, especially their collection of earrings from a variety of artists. Silver is my preference on its own or mixed with gold, and long and dangly is my style. They have so many options. While they don't call out Ayla Bar, I recognize many of the pieces from her collection. Made from Czech glass, mixed metals and fabric, her signature design stands out and I'm happy to see her pieces as part of the Sundance curated collection. The store itself has the same vibe as the items within. Casual, relaxed, worn in like your favorite pair of jeans. The people working here are friendly, helpful, and most important, leave me to browse at my leisure! Located on the same strip as the Regal Theatre, across from Pendleton and right next to Sephora, somehow it took me a few years to realize Sundance was at Bridgeport. How the heck did I miss that? Well, now I know and I'm telling you!!! Whenever I am at Bridgeport, I will definitely be stopping in to check out the merchandise as it changes seasonally. I didn't even realize they had a store until we were at a Thorns game and walked past it! Needless to say, I have quite a wardrobe from there. I was originally obsessed with the P hats because they were plain, yet epic and cool. Classic. But most weren't VEGAN!! I can't do wool, never have been able to because I ITCH!!! But then they have brought so many great hats that are NOT wool and so gorgeous and well, I look GOOD in hats. Beanies and baseball hats. Bring it. I have SO many Portland Gear hats. I think I've got 4 beanies and 7 or 8 baseball hats. I have one zip UP hoodie, three over the head hoodies lol and two tshirts. And I DO have the cream colored backpack for my work stuff. I LOVE this bag. I had gotten it for my daughter back in June 2024 as a birthday gift because she needed a sturdy backpack for middle school where she has NO locker lol The other thing I'm totally obsessed with is their Portland Stag and Portland Sign..I have both and man they're gorgeous. Paloma never lets me down with their expansive collections of accessories, bags, locally made jewelry, and high quality US made clothing lines, such as: Cut Loose and Tianello. Being rather petite, the clothing at Paloma is not always available in my size. However, the pieces I have bought for myself, are some of my favorites. On the other hand, the jewelry is where I really go a bit overboard for myself. I can't resist the exceptional selection of handmade rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings. At first glance you may think Paloma to be a stuffy boutique, but the shop gals are ever so helpful, and friendly. I had worried bringing my kids into the shop would be frowned upon. This is not the case. I've discovered I am welcome to bring the kids in with me. Paloma even has a basket full of toys to keep the little ones busy. Super quick transaction because I walked in the door and knew the bag and color I wanted. I was in the shop 15 minutes, max. And that part was GREAT! Fast forward 15 months later. The bag - used daily - has a strap pop. My wife contacts Tori Burch online, who directs her to call the location. So I call, asking about guidance for a warranty and/or repair. It honestly took days before I could get a human on the line. One morning I called before the store was open and a frustrated woman wanted to know why I'd called 3 times in a row - sorry your voicemail doesn't work. She promised to call back, never did. Finally - today - I remember to call after 2pm eastern time as to not interrupt pre-opening hours, and the woman I spoke to this time kept cutting me off to tell me the warranty is only "one year!" and find someone locally because that would be "way cheaper than sending to Tori Burch in New York for repair." Wow. Not that it's a priceless possession or a massive investment, but a Tori Burch was several hundred bucks and lasted about 15 months. The website apparently doesn't affiliate with brick & mortar stores, and the employees that will finally answer a phone find no value or concern in the products they sell. Definitely not high quality if the strap broke in 15 months. Absolutely zero of the bags I've ever bought my wife, from Kate Spade to Louis Vuitton have every busted a strap.
