The food was great! HOWEVER, the friendliness and service from the workers were awful. 3 of my friends and I are not from here and decided to have a nice dinner. The bartender that we ordered from was very offputting, not friendly or nice, and seemed like taking our order was the furthest thing from what he wanted to do. He took it upon himself to start tapping his fingers on the bar when we were trying to figure out what we wanted. He did not recommend any drinks when asked, and pointed at the beer menu when asked if they had a menu. One of my friends asked what kind of beer was a certain beer and he stated "idk it's just another light beer." The other bartender that was wearing glasses was very nice and we ended up ordering from him for the rest of the night. On top of the bartender, the lady that set down our food practically SLAMMED our pizza down and threw our plates at us, while completely not speaking. This was very disheartening considering the food is well, however, I think every person deserves to be treated like a human being at a restaurant. Their "odd soul" pizza is my FAVORITE. If you're looking for good quality pizza, this is the place to go. They also have lots of options for beer, although I can give any suggestions since I've been pregnant. Note that this is probably not the best place to go if you are hard of hearing-when this place is busy, the noise from people talking is quite loud as this is a small restaurant. read more

This place has a great atmosphere, and is a great place to lay your hat down, and have a drink with some pizza after a long day. I would however wish they had some music playing, it kinda messed with the he vibe a bit. I will happily give a five star rating for the quality. Went there with friends for dinner and drinks, late on a Friday evening. We didn't realize they only serve pizza by the slice after 7 pm. So, we ordered 12 pieces along with drinks. You have to go up to the bar to order drinks and or food. We didn't realize this at first because we saw some servers (we thought) walking around. It's ok, now you know. It was very busy and we enjoyed seeing lots of locals of all ages bringing the downtown back to life. They're specialty drinks we good, at least the ones we had, just be specific with the bartenders on special orders. We will go back!! read more

Went in around 3pm, the joint was slow. The drinks were weak and poorly constructed. Didn't order any food because the bar area was disgusting. If the part of the establishment that everyone can see was that gross i don't wanna know what the kitchen looked like. Nothing looked like it had been cleaned in a long time. Dust on everything, cobb-webs hanging from the TVs, sticky bar top, bartender touched the inside of my glass making my drink, and barehanded my straws and lime wedge. Was in there for over an hour and he didn't once wash his hands. Wouldn't recommend for anything more than a quick beer stop. read more

The Odd Soul is a unique little bar on Emma St in downtown Springdale. I have always enjoyed this little establishment. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. They only have beer and the selection of beer they have is amazing. You can buy six packs of beer to go also. They have special events almost daily. If you are a fan of trivia they even have a trivia night. The thing i like the most about The Odd Soul is the soda jerk they have in the bar. You can get an old fashion "Jones Soda" made the old school way. I would highly recommend this pace to anyone looking for a bar that you can relax at and have a good time at with others. read more

We stumbled upon The Odd Soul as we were out and about. LOVE the pizza! It isn't traditional pizza, but their flagship pizza with its chili infused honey is amazing. The atmosphere is chill with a nice selection of craft beers. We now drive out of the way for their pizza and being from Chicago, have had good pizza. The crust is thin, but chewy, not cracker. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. It hard to find good pizza in NWA in our 10 years here...this is one of those places. read more

Had a great time on my first visit. This place has a great vibe, very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and familial. No pretensions felt. The only negative I have is the "patio/smoking" area is rather small. I know that's not exactly a fault of The Odd Soul though so I'll deal with it. Can't wait to go back. Update: we returned to the Odd Soul this weekend after the bull rides. The place wasn't busy which was a bit surprising. Service was fast and friendly, the tap system is still pretty awesome. There seem to be a few changes: no take home beer options, in its place is an arcade. Nice space in downtown Springdale. Pros: Instead of only carrying Arkansas breweries on tap (which I can get by visiting those breweries or on store shelves), they mix it up and put beers for brands you likely can't get as easily in AR. The bottle shop in the back is nice as well, although the selection could be a bit broader. Con: They don't have a kitchen, so eat before you visit (but there are a number of restaurants relatively close by, including a Mexican place right next door, and Natural State Sandwiches right down the street). Had the best time here back in December. Didn't even know it was there and some friends told me about it. Really laid back atmosphere, there even was a dog there hanging out listening to the live music. Bartenders were fast and friendly and they had a GREAT beer selection. He and I both ordered pizza by the slice which was a simple type of pie, thin crust, mild marinara with pepperoni/sausage that paired well with any beer we tried. They have plenty of choices on draft and plenty of staples for one looking for just a regular beer. They had a huge selection of liquors for cocktails and even some interesting concoctions with Jones soda. This is the type of place to bring any friend who can find something drink.
