Went to The Odd Soul, tonight for our 22nd Wedding anniversary. It was our first time, the air in the car quit, it's 104 heat index, and we love great pizza! We arrived shortly after 5 pm with a pretty full house of friendly people and the promising aroma of great food. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff greeted us, too. We had salads, fried ravioli , and the Odd Soul pizza. The salads were served soon and were phenomenal! My wife had a side Ceasar, I had a side Greek! Both were fresh and cold with wonderful dressings. We both agreed large salads would have made a wonderful meal. However we were here for pizza! Our fried ravioli were served. They were good. However, nothing remarkable. Served with marinara. Our pizza was served promptly and was amazing! The Prosciutto had crisped up on the edges, and the sweetness of the honey played nicely against the spiciness of the siracha flakes and brine of the peppers. However, what made the pizza was the crispy crust. It's rich, yeasty goodness baked to perfection brought the whole thing together! It was very reasonably priced for such a wonderful meal! Most people in the area would be familiar with their beer menu. I love the lighting in the afternoon. Lots of great light coming in from the windows along the ceiling. The characteristics of the old building definitely show off well. Didn't eat so I only gave it 4 stars. Menu looked great. Mostly pizzas. The reason I am giving the Odd Soul three (3) stars is below: *The process for ordering pizza to go while waiting in the Pub is not efficient. I was never prompted nor alerted that my pizza was ready. Therefore my pizza spent an extra 10 minutes sitting in the warmer and was not as hot and fresh as it was right out of the oven. They took my name but beyond that it just seemed like an empty process. *I would suggest after taking Customer's name, have the Kitchen or Bar call out their name when the pizza is done. This will ensure a fresh hot pizza is experienced every time! I also have to let you know the Customer Service in this place is Fabulous! The Bartenders and everyone is totally Customer-centric! Recently went here for a work lunch, it was a good vibe and good food. I like that they do it by the slice so you don't have to all agree on a pizza, although their slices are usually just cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and the daily specials. This day's was the spinach and chicken special which was delicious. My only complaint is that the pizza does taste like it's been sitting out a while, which for pizza by the slice I'm sure it has. This place is very unique and while the sorta rowdy atmosphere may not appeal to some, I found it oddly (I guess that's where the name derives) charming. The building itself has a long history & was at one time, a pharmacy- you can still see the drive thru window. I got the feeling a lot of regulars come here. There's a few tables outside the entrance & inside, you can sit at the bar, some high tops or play a round of pool in the back. Not sure about food, but 20 different beers on tap & there's a screen where you can see how much is left in the kegs. It's noisy & we were there for a birthday party. We were afraid that we would stick out like sore thumbs because we did not arrive on bikes but it wouldn't have mattered if people pointed and laughed as the food was definitely worth it! The cheese bread was amazing and a great indication of the deliciousness to come. The four meat pizza was fantastic and the crust was perfect. The Hamilton was delicious-- I need to find out where the rolls come from! The fries were good-- we ordered them with house seasoning and extra ranch. We love hanging out drinking beer here. It's a great place to relax, catch a game, chit chat with friends. My husband loves the pizza. I ordered their new personal size pizza and it was huge. My issue has been their lack of non pork options. However, they have change their menu and offer things that don't have pork, or don't contain any meat. I ordered their mushroom pizza and it was good. The only issue is that the olive oil base and mushrooms made the bottom a bit mushy. I think another couple minutes in the oven would fix that. Great option for having a beer, eating some food, and hanging with friends. read more

This is by far the nicest bar that I have visited in NWA, friendly staff, great atmosphere and a great tap selection. They have happy hour from 5PM to 7PM and on Wednesday from 4PM to 6PM. If you like Craft beer this is definitely the place to be and you will love the pizza here, it's made fresh to order and has tons of flavor. Bring your buddy's down and enjoy a brew or two. Another note, depending on the day of the week you will have to either park out front or just across the street but they do have a few spaces available out back. read more

Love this place! Such an awesome pocket tucked away in tiny downtown Springdale. They have a huge selection of craft beer (including Squatters from my hometown of Salt Lake whaaaaa?!) and gluten free beer for those with Celiac. The latter was pretty nice for my mama to have an option other than the typical cider. The staff was friendly and attentive (Though they tried to get out of making us popcorn. Yeah, no.) and the spiced pretzels (free!) are the bomb. We'll definitely be back! read more

I was fortunate enough to hear about the Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting of this joint, so I raced up from Little Rock for the occasion, and to check out the newest hot spot in NWA! SHORT VERSION- This is a traditional taproom/pub with historic Springdale heart, and strong Irish Pub influences. It's brand new, with some ultra-modern conveniences (like a smart screen listing the beers on tap, their relative darkness, what kind of glass they come in, and how full the keg is, plus a live stream of Tweets referencing the place) and some very historic charm (such as the original - and working - Soda Fountain in it's traditional place). They have a wide range of beers on tap (19 taps I believe), a backroom for build-your own six-packs that you can buy and take out, the above-mentioned Soda Fountain, and a Nitrogen/"Nitro"/N2 tap with cold-brewed coffee (yes, on Nitro), red wine (coming soon), root beer, and Stout. There's also a pool table, a wide variety of seating from bar, window bar, tall table, leather lounges, vinyl benches, chess-table... A truly remarkable range of options. Plus, there's a video-game console rigged up for all the classic (games on request at the bar). No food or kitchen ("We're not chefs" they say), but they're happy to have you bring in anything you want, and have several places nearby that they recommend for various kinds of take-out or delivery. Even happy to have Pizza delivered to the door! LONG VERSION- This is a truly unique place. I had a chance to sit down with one of the owners, and he happily told me his whole story. He's been in Springdale off and on his whole life. His grandfather worked as a Soda Jerk in the very spot this bar now occupies, an Uncle owned a hardware store across the street, and his Great Grandfather was a post office worker two doors down. He's Springdale Legacy to his very core, and loves his town with passion and dedication. As such, The Odd Soul is a labor of love for him, and it shows. Not only were nearly all of the extensive renovations to the space done painstakingly by hand, but nearly every piece of furniture, wall, and hardware has a story. The pool table has been with a friend's family for nearly 40 years, the Soda Fountain is original from the 50's or 60's, the booth seating and bar stools are from classic old restaurants and business that once graced the Springdale area, even the entire back wall and upstairs storage space was rebuilt with repurposed wood from nearby businesses. That's the Soul in the name, everything from the owners, to the menu, to the very walls has tremendous sentimental and local-historical value. The Odd is because of the eclectic nature of all these disparate influences and stories coming together in one space. The overall effect is like a mis-matched group of old, old friends - each with their own quirks and personalities, all contributing their little bit of self to the living mosaic of the bar. In all seriousness, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's got a little bit of all the best things anyone could ask for in a bar, and the full effect is everything an owner or patron could hope for. Top marks! read more
