Lots of TVs and plenty of space to watch sporting events. Food is decent & staff was great.

We Stumbled upon this because it was right across from our hotel. We waited only about 5minutes for a table at the bar. Service was excellent and the drinks and food were also great. It's a cute neighborhood sportsbar vibe. Plenty of TVs, beer on tap, and even an outdoor area with seating and fireplaces

I needed nachos, so I got in the car and drove to the office. (Somehow that seems wrong). The office (no relation to the TV show) has a great patio and a nicely decorated dining room. The food was fast and delicious. The beer selection was various and multiple. The nachos were huge and tasted great, but could use a little better dispersement. The prices were only slightly high... in this economy, we are searching for a deal. The menu has plenty of good options, I'll have to go back to try more things.

Decent food, Great service, and fun ambiance. Upscale sports bar vibes; nice indoor seating with bar, and covered outdoor patio with fireplace space. Several high top and standard seats. Could definitely see the space utilized as a party venue. Beer, wine, and cocktail selections. The menu has a pretty good assortment of salads, sandwiches/wraps, dinner entrees, and sides. Definitely something for everyone even an impossible burger for the meatless crew. Appetizers Ordered:BangBang Shrimp, Onion Rings, and Pretzel bites. All were solid choices with BangBang winning. Entrees: Gone Fishing(fish n chips)-Cod strips fried perfectly just needed more seasoning. Happy it wasn't oily like most. Also ordered the Fried Flounder Sandwich. Asked for no pineapple chutney on my sandwich but received it anyway and had to scrape off. Not a fan of a sweet fish sandwich so flavors were a bit off for me and also needed to add salt for seasoning. Final meal was Balsamic Chicken meal over mushroom risotto. Light and healthier choice with nice complimentary flavors. They have a simple dessert menu. Cthe banana pudding. Not a fan of the artificial banana flavor pudding used and BANANAS WERE NO WHERE IN SIGHT, wouldn't recommend that dessert. Would recommend this restaurant as a solid lunch or dinner option.

I arrived at 7:14pm on a Saturday evening with my son. We walked here as our hotel was across the street. It was very busy. I was told there would be a 30-40 minute wait. I put my name down on the waitlist. I received a link where I could check my place in line. We were 14th The time moved slowly, actually. Bar seating became available but I was told that kids cannot sit at the bar. It's not a NC rule. I wonder if it's just a rule for the establishment, hmm. After 42 minutes of waiting, we were still 5th in line. At 8:01pm, I finally got a text that our table was ready. I was beyond hungry by this point. We were promptly seated by a host. Service: 4/5 --At 8:03pm, a friendly waitress came over to take drink order. I got two waters and ordered the appetizer pretzel bites. The app came fairly quickly at 8:10pm. -Waitress didn't introduce herself, which is a personal pet peeve of mine as I feel that is the most basic --We ordered food at 8:13pm. My son got the kids pepperoni pizza with fruit cup. I got the 8ct wings with the Smokey maple chipotle bbq sauce lol. I did ask to taste the sauce before I ordered it as it was many flavors haha. I liked it. --My drink came at 8:19pm. It was delicious. My son's food came at 8:22pm. --My wings came at 8:28pm. We were sitting between the host stand and the kitchen. I actually noticed my wings had been sitting there a couple minutes before I received it --At 9:02pm, I ordered donut holes. I received them at 9:08pm. Presentation: 4/5 --The pretzel bites were plated nicely and it came with queso and honey mustard. --My sons pizza was sliced into two pieces --The fruit cup was a decent size with mixed fruit (blueberries, strawberries, and cantaloupe, I believe) --My wings were accompanied with celery and carrots. --The donut holes had a basic presentation. They came with a side of chocolate and caramel. It was missing the powdered sugar and the chocolate/caramel drizzle. I guess they were in a rush? Food Quality: 4/5 --Pretzel bits were the perfect temperature. The honey mustard was cold but the queso was warm. We aren't a fan of honey mustard and meant to ask for double queso, but I forgot. --My son enjoyed his pizza. I ate one of his strawberries and it wasn't cold as it should've been. The fruit either had just been sitting out of they put it under the heating lamp. --My wings were hot, nonetheless. They were mixed consistently. I like my wings charred and crispy. Some of the wings were perfect to my liking while others weren't. --The donut holes were hot and fresh. I didn't like the chocolate sauce and enjoyed the caramel sauce Ambiance & Cleanliness: 5/5 -The establishment was clean and appropriate ambiance for the setting. No complaints. It's family friendly with indoor and covered patio seating. Value for Money: 5/5 -It was very affordable. The appetizer ($10), cocktail ($10), wings ($15), kids meal ($7), and dessert ($8) was a little over $50 after tax. Overall Experience: 4/5 -Overall, it was a good experience. Only minor complaints such as being unable to sit at the bar, mixed doneness with my chicken wings, donut holes lacking in presentation, and warm fruit. I would return as I saw other items on the menu that I'd want to try. =26/30 5 star: 29-30 4 star: 24-28 3 star: 19-23 2 star: 14-18 1 star: 6-13

Came here for brunch on a Saturday morning and was seated immediately with no reservation (around 11am). Our server was super nice and got our drinks out in a timely manner. I ordered the breakfast bowl which had a lot on it and was a great size. I got the sausage gravy on the side and they gave a lot! I only ate about half and was full. The potatoes were nice and crispy. My husband ordered the buffalo chicken salad and he enjoyed that as well. Great spot to come for brunch/lunch!

We really love the ambiance of the patio here and for the most part the food is good. Our last visit here, the server was not what I would expect from that restaurant or the area. We are both in the industry and know what hospitality looks like and this didn't meet the mark. My partner really enjoyed her salmon as usual, but I didn't think the Cajun pasta was very good. Love the old fashioneds the bartender makes every time I go and the manager was super friendly though!

First of all, the staff here are amazing, while we were waiting for our table, they checked on us to see how we doing. Our server was super friendly and fast. As for the restaurant setting, it is more of mix feeling, it felt small, it don't have enough indoor tables, it is nice to have a patio area, but it too hot to seat outside, they have lots of empty tables outdoor. Also it is confusing to find the entrance to the restaurant. I really like the space at the old location in Indian Land better. The food was great. The price is also not bad. I like my French dip roast beef sandwich, the dip was full of flavors. I had a nice experience and will come back again.

This was a nice break after exploring some of the Ballantyne area this afternoon. we popped in here and enjoyed a nibble and some drinks. Lots of televisions on a Sunday afternoon, all tuned in to different sports and the waitresses wearing their Panthers jerseys. We enjoyed a mocktail and a beer and an order of their pretzel bites. The mocktail was small but delicious. And overpriced at $8 for the "Hostile Takeover" that is made with blood orange, orange juice, cider and water. We enjoyed our time here and the pretzel bites are a real treat. [Review 2533 of 2024 - 3986 in North Carolina - 23545 overall]

We tried the bang bang shrimp taco with cucumber salad and the southwestern burger with fries. The taco and the burger were hot and fresh tasting. The burger was juicy and cooked to order. The shrimp on the taco was cooked perfectly and had had just the right amount of spice. The slaw and remoulade were tasty and complemented the shrimp. The tortilla was soft and nicely wrapped. The cucumber salad was tangy and refreshing. The fries were dry and not great. The service was great our waitress was super nice. The atmosphere was basically casual bar.

Sometimes simple of the way to go. Lettuce, American Cheese, tomatoes, crinkled pickles, onions, and their "good good sauce." This all came together with the 100% premium angus beef (antibiotic and hormone free) smash-burgers perfectly cooked. The fried were very good, nicely crispy, but not overdone. Service was friendly and very quick. I highly recommend this place if you want a great burger.

Optimist Hall itself is a very food-centric, upscale food hall with a ton of vendors, so the atmosphere is energetic and fun. Seating can be a little challenging during peak dinner hours since so many people are grabbing food from different spots, but when the weather is nice there's plenty of outdoor seating. Harriet's keeps their burger formula refreshingly simple. It's a classic smash burger done right--made to order with a straightforward menu that doesn't overcomplicate things. There's usually a line, but it moves pretty quickly, and the burgers come out hot and fresh. One of the best parts of eating here is the flexibility of the food hall experience. While you're waiting, you can grab a craft beer, a glass of wine, or even browse for dessert from one of the other vendors. Insider tip: Come with a group if you can. It's a great place to share fries and let everyone explore different vendors around the hall. Parking is fairly easy with the nearby garage, which makes the whole experience even more convenient. Overall, Harriet's is a fun, delicious stop for a smash burger, especially if you're already enjoying the energy of Optimist Hall.

As a West Coast transplant now living in Charlotte, I have very specific standards when it comes to…read moreburgers. For me, the gold standard isn't fancy -- it's balance. Think that perfect meat-cheese-bread ratio you get at an In-N-Out: not too big, not too messy, not dripping everywhere, but still juicy and satisfying. A burger you can actually pick up and enjoy without resorting to a knife and fork like George Costanza. That's why I appreciate Ace No. 3. Their menu is refreshingly simple -- burgers, fries, shakes -- and that simplicity tells me they know exactly what they do well. Everything is made to order, and the consistency shows. The Ace burger is my go-to, and it delivers every time. The shoestring fries are excellent, and the sweet potato tots are another favorite. I've also treated myself to a milkshake here and there, and they're worth it. Fun bonus: they offer "boozy shakes" for adults, which adds a playful twist -- just note they have to be enjoyed on site. They also keep a short, rotating list of beers, which I appreciate. It's curated, not overwhelming. One thing I noticed recently -- and as a fellow marketer, I have to applaud this -- is their milkshake happy hour from 2-4 PM. That's a smart strategy to drive traffic during slower hours between lunch and dinner. Simple, effective, and well executed. A few practical notes: Parking can be a little tight because the lot behind the restaurant is small, but if you go during off-peak hours or order ahead for pickup, it's manageable. The Belmont neighborhood location is easy to get in and out of, and while it's not a high-traffic pedestrian area, that can actually work in your favor. Bottom line: As someone who grew up with West Coast burger culture, this is the closest I've found in Charlotte to that classic, satisfying bite -- even if it costs a bit more than In-N-Out. The quality and execution make it worth it. Get out there, eat well, be curious -- and follow me as I continue eating my way through Charlotte.
