They kept all my packages, my mail, my documents, and my money. What a horrible owner to do that to people who trusted them. Left emails, phone calls, and sent letters. No response by the owner. Yikes! We went in to ship a package by UPS, only to be told UPS sucks... I asked if I could use FedEx to ship to Round Mountain, NV and a lady started yelling that it would have to go by US mail. After she walked away, another nice young lady came up and asked "how can I help?" She said that she could do a package via FedEx to Round Mountain, only to have the grumpy lady yell from across the shop, "you have to use US Mail!"... anyway, I sent it via FedEx and it arrived in 3 days. I feel bad for the young lady who helped me as she was getting chastised as I walked out the door... UPS has pulled their operation out of this joint and rightfully so. This place better get it's contract straightened out with UPS or your business is going down. Been going for years, the people are for the most part very friendly, BUT the postage they charge for what you could get at the local USPS is OUTRAGEOUS, and now they don't have a UPS drop off any longer due to some contractual issue with UPS and some Amazon issues. This town is secluded enough... Better get it together, or i will never go back and neither will half the town. I've driven to Fallon a couple times now to drop off for UPS. Part of my business depends on a UPS drop off and this is a major inconvenience. Hope they can figure it out or they will be another Fernley business going OUT of business! read more

While they perform a much needed service in the community I find that their staff is often more interested in doing their own thing instead of promptly waiting on customers. Today I walked in, waited several minutes while the two women finished whatever it is they were doing in the back, then was told to wait again while they finished counting money from the drawer. More than thirty minutes before closing time. Then I was tersely handed my receipt with a "you're good to go." No "thank you, come again," nothing. A little kindness goes a long way ladies!! Terrible service. The two women acted like my business was a problem. In fact the younger one said flat out she didn't want to help. They clearly advertise they offer notary service. I would think when your spending over $100 they might at least smile and pay attention to you. No privacy during signing of confidential documents. No concern for keeping papers in order. Continued helping other customers like I wasn't standing in front of them. Next time I will definitely go someplace else or even have a notary come to my home. I was sent the wrong package from a company and they ended up shipping me an entire fog light assembly with frame. The box itself was about five and a half foot long and was fairly heavy. I had no local FedEx drop off points that would take this item due to the height and dimensions and thought I was going to have to drive to Reno. But thankfully I called and was greeted with such professionalism and helpfulness, while being told that I could drop the package off there. The staff was absolutely amazing and very helpful! This place used to be great but has steadily declined over the past several months. Customer service is ok but they continue to raise their prices across the board. I understand that shipping costs are on the rise everywhere but this place is increasing it's costs beyond what is necessary to offset rising shipping costs. The latest example: 7 ounce, small package, already completely and properly packed, just needed postage. The best this business could do was $19; took it else where and spent $6. I wish I could say this is a fluke occurrence but it has happened so frequently over the last few months, it's ridiculous. We try to use small businesses but this has become so over-priced, we have decided to go elsewhere from now on. read more

We used their mailbox feature for about 1 1/2 years. In the beginning everything was great. Ray seemed to go out of his way for the customers. Since Ray passed away, it seems like some of the employee's have started to get grumpy with the customers. I was going to keep their service for a while longer to smooth the transfer of mail to my new address. However I feel that with Ray's passing the office no longer fits in with the change over of management or the address change I have started. read more

The lady who helped me let him play and touch things also gave him a snack! She was so quick I was hardly there 5 minutes but they made my day a lot better and brightened it up within minutes! I utilized the fax services here during my time of unemployment in order to fax weekly unemployment paperwork. Unfortunately, this paperwork includes my SSN. Since the fax line at the unemployment office was often busy, The Office offered to keep re-trying to fax and once it goes through, they would keep the original paperwork "in the back" for me to later pickup. I asked them specifically to black out my SSN or place the paper in a sealed envelope for privacy, since they had just hired a heroin user whom I didn't trust. They promised to do so. Twice, when picking up my paperwork, I noticed my SSN was just sitting there out in the open for all the employees to see. I asked why they weren't putting it in an envelope or blacking out my SSN, and got two equally snotty responses, saying "that is not their policy". I took my business elsewhere. Free fax and internet services at the Human Services office by the bowling alley. Lower fax and internet services at the Library. Oh, and they have since fired the heroin user. But they still won't get my business. P.S. Caught Ray (the OWNER) reading my personal faxes. He stood behind the partition and read some very personal things.... I walked over to him and he still didn't notice me watching him! I had to ask if he was done, and he gave me back my papers. NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

Mearl, the clerk who helped us, was informative and friendly, and offered to hold onto the package for a few days so it would arrive when someone was there to receive it. The staff here are amazing. We needed copies of a very old scrap book written by my wife's Great grandmother in 1921. The lady who works there (I think her name is Merle. I hope I did not misspell that) did a BANG UP job on this project! She had it done within a couple hours. There were many pages. All of them came out wonderful. She even went the extra mile and took pictures of the letters and printed those as well. This lady deserves a raise. Totally professional and nice. I enjoy going here. The owner is very good as well. Shipped a package that cost 50 bucks no insurance . Called the company i shipped it to and they had no knowledge of it. Looked on the receipt and there was no ups tracking number so i went back to this shop after a month. they had it in the back room of this establishment (made no effort to contact me), The owner tore off the address it was shipped to so i could not see were it was shipped (apparently the wrong address) This is the only game in town for shipping so be very aware of this bad business read more

So, I went into The Office, next to Scolari's. I was returning something that needed proof of delivery. They said they didn't do proof of delivery, only tracking. So, it went large envelope, first class mail with tracking. Oops... turns out it did no such thing. Ray Lacy (who by the way just lost any chance I would vote for him for mayor) tells me that what I have is proof of mailing.with a company called Endicott. After much back and forth, with Ray Lacy spending a great deal of time telling me that he isn't responsible, and that I have no right to even talk to him because I didn't pay for next day shipping, and some strange stuff about where the package currently is ... (mind you all I wanted to know was if this was going to give me proof of delivery so that I could get my money back for my return) ... he finally, sort of, might have allowed, with serious reservations about having no control about what the post office does, said that the status bar will show when it gets to Miami ... Seriously, do you want to have for Mayor someone who is incapable of answering a simple question about whither or not this weird web site will give me proof of delivery ??? Do you want to go to a mailing service that says it's selling you one thing, then gives you something else, and says they are in no way responsible for the service they signed you up for, instead of the one you wanted. Do you want, for Mayor, someone who does that ? My husband spent his time laughing his head off while this conversation was going on. He said it was like listening to a new version of the Laurel and Hardy "who's on first" comedy skit. Me trying to find out if this is going to show proof of delivery. Ray Lacy going on about in transit, controlling the post office and not being responsible for anything. Of course he claims I was very argumentative because I tried to keep the conversation focused on proof of delivery and kept saying "what are you talking about" (a lot) as he deflected all over the map. Anyway, we won't be going back there anymore. And if I don't get credit for my return because he failed to provide the service I thought I was paying for, I guess I have to sue him. Today I had to have blood drawn from Renown Urgent Care and shipped to Seattle overnight. The blood was to be sent through FEDEX and when I got to The Office it was near closing time and the Express FEDEX guy had already left. As I was leaving, the owners Ray and his wife came in and called the Express guy and asked him to come back. The Express guy said he would return for my package. They saved me a mad rush to the FEDEX main office in Reno. Ray, I want to thank you very much as the blood I sent was mine to see if it matches my sister's blood. She desperately needs a kidney transplant. It had already been a nerve wracking day with having to rush and get this done. You made everything better by calling your Express guy. I live an hour from Fernley but will be stopping by your store for every shipping need I have no matter how big or small.
