Perhaps removing the cloth curtains and rug that retains build up and makes a smell. Also since this a historic place, people are welcomed to look into rooms that aren't occupied and try to open doors and are loud. So don't plan on sleeping in.

We watched and killed flying insects coming into the room from a crack under the door. We left the spider that was there to hopefully catch the ones we missed. Mattresses were low grade and old. The beds and pillows were sprayed with some kind of strong chemical scent/deodorizer - the entire room smelled what we guessed was Odo-ban. my daughter with Asthma was unable to sleep in the bed and had to sleep on the futon under our jackets. There was no extra bedding for the futon. Bedroom furniture was very old particle board that was water warped, chipped, and abraded on the edges. Stove was filthy - the drip pans were rusted and full of burned on food. Appeared like they hadn't been cleaned or replaced in years. The refrigerator was old and the racks inside were rusted. The dishes were stored under the sink beneath the drain trap, which feels very unhygenic. $15 fee if you left any dirty dishes. We were really looking forward to spending the day enjoying the beautiful view but instead we are leaving as quickly as we can. We are looking forward to getting to our next hotel to shower and finally rest comfortably.

The beds were super clean and comfortable and the bathroom was also clean. The one thing I don't like is taking a shower somewhere else other than home. But this shower was in pristine condition and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The floors are like hardwood or vinyl/laminate throughout and the bedrooms had carpet. I love the decor of the place. They also offer bottled water and ice in the garage. My favorite thing about this place is it smelt good when we first entered and you can tell they keep it clean and in great condition. The beds were also very comfortable. The price is affordable too. The town is such a little town that this place is so close to the west entrance only a 4 minute drive to the west Yellowstone entrance. We also walked to the shops from this place and walked to the IMAX theatre that's close by. It's also really close to McDonald's. I loved the kitchen it has a tv above the refrigerator. The rooms have direct tv and they also have Apple TV. I also really loved how we could park right outside so we were never too far from our vehicle. The only thing I would suggest would be to maybe add a chair or stool in the bathroom for my 5 year old so he could use the bathroom sink without me having to boost him up. Also maybe a full length mirror somewhere the only mirror was in the bathroom vanity and then there's a smaller mirror in the kitchen bar area. Also just another minor suggestion would be to WD40 the door hinges. Other than that if I ever return to Yellowstone I will definitely book with them again. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I will recommend this place to anyone I know visiting Yellowstone.

I was traveling to Yellowstone National Park and had flown into Bozeman (see flight review here)…read more Since I got in late, I drove the next day to West Yellowstone which is the town right outside the Western entrance to the Park. My plan was to spend the night in this city and then go the park in the morning as, according to my research, it was easier to get through the park's entrance in the morning. When looking for a place to stay in West Yellowstone, the only chain hotel was a Holiday Inn and through the reviews and pictures, it did not look that good. While searching through reviews and pictures, The Adventure Inn Yellowstone kept coming up as highly rated and reviewed so I decided to book it. I booked the hotel through a travel website (Expedia) as I earn points with Expedia and through the app it was quite easy to book. The morning of my arrival date, I received a text message from the hotel which detailed all the information including how to access the building, the wifi details, check-in/check-out time, and other needed details. It was the type of information that you would normally get from the check-in desk so I was a bit confused as to why I was getting this information now, but I kept it handy and proceeded to the hotel. In the text message, it had said that the hotel is 'connected to the Westgate Auto Body at the back end of the building'; I had assumed it was a separate building so when I went to the address that is what I was looking for but instead the Westgate Auto Body and The Adventure Inn are all in the same building - the front part of the building is the Auto Body while the back of the same building is the Adventure Inn. Its a little jarring at first impressions if you are expecting one thing and receive another, but I proceeded on. It was then that the directions in the text message made sense as there was no check-in desk - the hotel operates more like an Airbnb in which you have your own access code to the front door and to your specific room; but there is no check-in desk and no attendant on site. As you enter into the building, there are stairs immediately in front of you which lead upstairs to the rooms. The ground floor contains a garage which has ice, the trash, as well as a sanitizer station by the door; note that there is no elevator to get up to the second floor and no rooms on the first floor so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. We proceeded up the stairs and the doors to each room were either in front or on the left and right of us. Our room was on the left so we turned left, enter the code, and proceeded into the room. First impressions of the room were that it was nicely decorates, spacious, and was pleasant in terms of amenities. You entered into the a hallway which lead into the bedroom area. In the hallway, on the right-side, was the bathroom which contained a sink on top a long vanity table and in the adjoining room was a toilet and shower/tub. It was spacious and was comfortable enough for the space and there were many toiletries available in the bathroom including towels, toilet paper, packs of tissue, sunscreen, lotion, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner; the additional toiletries were a nice touch. Further down the hallway was the main bedroom. The two double beds with a nightstand in the middle were against one wall. Along the other wall was a chest with drawers on the bottom and a TV on top, a fridge and a microwave, a safe, a coffee maker, an ice bucket, and a luggage rack. The bedroom area was spacious and provided tons of space for each of the items and space to move around. The beds were comfortable, big enough for two people, and provided a good nights sleep. The chest had good storage space the the addition of the fridge and the microwave were a nice and welcome addition. Because the room was so spacious, there was plenty of room for the luggage storage space as well. Hotel amenities included complimentary parking, complimentary wifi, complimentary ice, abundant toiletries in the room, a booklet of information in the room, and convenient location that was walking-distance to many attractions and sights. Overall, it was a really pleasant stay at The Adventure Inn. The spacious rooms, the nice amenities, the convenient location all made it a great stay.

Me and a group of 3 stayed in Big Sky in the Moonlight community. The staff said our reservation was canceled, which was never communicated to us, and we had no transportation to get anywhere else in the -10° weather. The manager kept repeating herself about saying it was members only (although that wasn't said on Resi), and tried to say there was a shuttle running into town, but there isn't after 5:35. There were 3-5 tables taken and plenty of tables open to seat anyone, and they wouldn't accommodate us with carry out or any food, and asked us to leave after saying that without being empathetic to any degree. How can you stay at a community and not be able to eat at the lodge? Also, they didn't allow credit cards? How is that acceptable in today's age?

We love the Saddle Ridge area for a few reasons: ski in ski out steps to the Moonlight Lodge pool workout facilities dining full bar spa quiet safe We actually ski Big Sky instead of Moonlight, but love being up at Moonlight because of the staff and amenities. If you are looking for an active nightlife, you are probably better served staying in Big Sky village. If you are looking for great skiing, buy an all mountain pass and explore. The Headwaters area is great.

That was really nice! We only went to the office to check-in and check-out. We stayed 2 nights and went to Yellowstone National Park. I booked via Booking.com. for $199 per night plus tax. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. This room near the street was fairly quiet and it was nice not having neighbors!

You will also have a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, stores within walking distance. The lobby is pretty cool - very rustic Western cowboy décor. And the owner was warm and friendly. However, I wished it had more amenities. For example, I didn't have a hair dryer in my room nor did they serve breakfast. However, there is nearby gas station - if I remember right - that will give you free coffee and tea if you mentioned you were staying here. Nothing really dealbreaking for me, but worth knowing if those little comforts matter to you .

The resort has Madison Mountain Views and Madison River Views. Complete with a restaurant, lounge, gift shop, saloon, gym, pickle ball court, individual golf carts, bikes, skeet shooting range, stocked refrigerators, beautiful (state of the art) rooms, and some of the best fly fishing Montana has to offer. This is a "bucket list" trip that everyone should experience. The food is outstanding!

They readily helped us with a small extra need for one of our party. (Jul 2026) Our Gallatin Cabin was separate from three other cabins in two other buildings. Ours was modern, bright, and clean. They provide a nice book of local recommendations, and a number of useful discount coupons! Thanks! One bedroom was roomier. Two others were quite cozy, filled with queen bed and cabinet. There was wifi and a moderate-size tv, which we used to screen-share the day's photos. The kitchen area was roomy and fully equipped, with an open counter with tall chairs. We ate there, and at an indoor picnic-like table. The open layout was nice for conversation. It was convenient to have laundry facilities, and two shower-bathrooms. There was a small attached deck with chairs, and also a grill with table and chairs across the parking lot. We didnt cook there, but we did sit at one or the other for morning coffee and evening beverages. We felt comfortable and welcome. This was perfect lodging with perfect hosts at a convenient not-too-busy location with a nice restaurant-bar across the street, and within a short walking distance of downtown shops, restaurants, and bars.

The walls facing the parking lot are thin, so every horn, car door, etc is audible. They no longer offer breakfast on site. When the reservation was made, breakfast included. They still honored the free breakfast but we were given vouchers for The Branch, which is located a block away at the Holiday Inn, so that's something of a hassle each morning. They also advertise free laundry but every time I went down, all units were occupied and they close the laundry at 9pm. Families would take all units and do multiple loads for honors. The location is convenient for the park because it's located south of the entrance, which makes turning right (east) on Yellowstone Road a lot easier than those who are coming from the north waiting in long line to turn left. Again, overall a decent option but for the price I'd look at other nearby options.

The (operations) manager was very, very helpful. I love that they communicate via text... that was very useful. The room we stayed in was a double queen and had a lot of room for the three of us. We asked for an adjoined room, since my father in law was going to be with us, and they were able to accommodate us in a short notice. The indoor pool was cool, we used it during our stay. It's located in a great spot where it's walking distance to things to do and places to eat (obviously winter time I wouldn't recommend walking) We will definitely be back.
