    Woof woof hot. No I'm not being weird. That's the name of the wings I chose. Though I also got some 'Vincent' Man Gogh very hot sauce on the side. Consensus is that neither are hot enough (Vincent is sweet mango pulp with a hint of heat) . But Woof Woof is better and goes well with the blue cheese sauce which is very good and some good onion rings. Must be my Asian roots but I love a much hotter coating. Will come back and search out the hottest.

    I don't often go for buffalo wings but had this bookmarked so knew I had to try it when I found myself at brick lane over the weekend. It's good value imo at 6 pounds for 8 wings, some celery sticks, and a blue cheese dip. You also get a choice of sauces of varied spice levels. I opted for the default level (one up from mild) Didn't think the wings themselves were anything special as such, but were nonetheless thoroughly enjoyable. These are definitely good buffalo wings. Fried to order so they're guaranteed still hot and crispy. They're also dunked in the sauce straight from the fryer (as opposed to sauce being poured on top after) so you get that awesome sauce on every inch of the wing. Wouldn't trek for it, but totally worth it if in the area. Notes: Really liked that they had a Russian roulette option for the wings where you get 7 of the normal ones and one ultra spicy.

    I live around the area so I frequent here almost biweekly. As others pointed out, the wings are solid & american (from the U.S. myself). I am also the biggest curly fries lover and my god are those good here. Honestly have not been disappointed even once! Everyone is always friendly and the service is prompt. I dont want to repeat what others have already said before, but M-F there is lunch special until 3pm: £6.50 for 6 wings & fries or onion wings & a drink (+.50 for curly fries). This is the best because I can never really finish 8 wings and a side.

    I've tried many places for buffalo wings and this place was exceptionally. Although their wing sizes were on the smaller side, the sauce and onion rings really completed the meal. The lunch special is only $7.50 and it includes a drink, onion rings/fries, celery sticks and 7 wings. There is a lot of seating in front of the truck and a perfect place for lunch

    They had a variety of sauces for the wings, which we got to taste before ordering. Chose the woof woof sauce and the vincent man gogh as the viper was toooooo hot. The vincent man gogh was especially good as it deceives you with an initial taste of mangoes, then the chilly hits you. The portion of chips was large and were sprinkled with their own spices. The vendor suggested the cream soda, and it was perfect with the spicy wings. Certainly the best wings I've had in London yet, so would definitely revisit.

    Buffalo wings in London.. Who would've thunk it! We stumbled across this place while looking for artwork by the elusive Banksy in the Brick Lane/curry lane area. We got here a little past 8 (closing time) and were lucky that they had not shut down the fryers yet. The worker (I assume was the owner) welcomed us and said that we would be his last order. He explained that the only reason why he was still there was because he was pulling a double duty manning the 1's & 2's djing at the bar across the street in addition the the fryers at his food stand. Lucky timing for us I guess :). Even better for us we got 2 bonus wings! My buddy is a weakling when it comes to spice so we opted for half woof woof and the next spice level up (sorry I cant remember the name). Both sauces were very and a far cry apart from the typical butter and franks hot sauce that we are usually accustomed to at most joints. I was feeling rather adventurous so I asked to try the man gogh sauce. Man was this sauce awesome! It's like a spoonful of sugar followed by a kick in the balls.. The mango gives it a sweet initial taste that tricks your sensory organs that it's safe to eat then POW the fire from the peppers kick your teeth in and set your lips on fire! Thank God for the blue cheese sauce that the provide with the wings, if it wasn't for that I might have not had any lips left. Speaking of the blue cheese sauce, I was very impressed with it. Typically I prefer ranch dressing with my wings and I was a little perturbed that they didn't off any here however quickly forgot all about the ranch once I tasted the homemade blue cheese sauce. I may go out on a limb and say it's probably one of the best wing accouterments that I've ever had! The wings were good but this sauce was boss! Long story short I'm impressed with wings here. On point and better than a good lot of places in the states. Take it from someone who has gone to the mecca of wings Duffs and Anchor in Buffalo... P.S. Big ups on the free range chicken!

In fact, when I saw the show, I was already pulling out my diary to see when I could pencil in a trip to The City. Today was the day! Fearing that they might have sold out for the day, I jumped on my Barclays Bike in Marylebone and criss-crossed eastwards towards Liverpool Station...believe it or not, but I was beaming in anticipation of trying out Street Kitchen and probably violated tons of street rules. Finally I arrived and let me tell you straight out: I'd track this distance again even on a rainy London day! The folks inside the food truck were really nice and as it was still before the rush lunch hour, I was able to have a nice chat with them. They recommended I should try the slow-cooked mutton on potatoes and ratatouille-like vegetables...topped of with mint sauce. That was indeed an excellent recommendation and as I sat down on one of the benches on the square, I was actually picturing myself in the countryside with sheep all around me ;-) A little bit about the concept of Street Kitchen: they're all about local ingredients and everything they cook/prepare has been sourced locally. In the show on TV they showed how they even sourced Parmesan-like cheese from the UK to make a pesto-sauce. Love it...and it tastes great! Having said that, this is not the cheapest lunch option around (£7.50 for my dish), but it's definitely one of the most satisfying! On a side-note: the chap behind the counter told me that they will soon open up a second location in Covent Garden...they can count on me as a patron! (Dear owners: Do think about opening yet another branch in Marylebone though - this area is dreadfully deserted when it comes to independent/local lunch places.)

Street food that is gourmet! I ordered a crispy chicken with lettuce and crushed potatoes. It was excellent, Tasty, well-cooked filleted chicken with crispy skin and a creamy, tangy dressing. It is definitely worth the extra money and I look forward to trying them again!

Sundays only from some time in the morning until 5pm when the market shuts down. What you will find is a little taste of Asia in the best possible way. Hand-stretched flour noodles (la-mian) made right there before your very eyes, boiled, then served in the broth and meat accompaniments of your choosing. I had one with minced pork and 'special sauce' (who doesn't like special sauce?) and it was really good. The noodles were (obviously) really fresh, the broth was decent, and the pork bits salty and flavourful. AND all for about £5 a bowl. They also have chicken, roast pork, chilli tripe, and all kinds of available versions in addtion to some wok-fried items and really tasty dim sum. The only dim sum I tried was char siew bao, and it was legit (£1.50 for two). Plus they have a plastic table-clothed table for a few people (can maybe fit about 8 or so people) and some cheap plastic stools to sit on, so it is one of the few places along the brick lane market where you can actually sit down to eat. So authentic in its practicality and function that it makes me smile. This is also a great stall because you can stare at the guy making noodles, which is a fun show in itself. He's got skills.

Hopefully they'll be back soon :( ** I've been extremely picky about Chinese food since arriving in London, but luckily, this little La Mian stall under the bridge at Brick Lane has got it right! Fresh hand pulled noodles (la mian), swimming in a bowl of broth with your choice of roast duck, chicken, minced pork, and a few other variations. They also serve up other small dim sum items, such as pork buns, shrimp dumplings (har gow), pork dumplings (shiu mai), spring rolls, etc. I've tried their roast chicken leg, which is very good. The broth that they use is a mixture of soy, chicken (possibly beef) bouillon stock powder, plus a few other things. I think the broth could be better, but for the quantity I get, and by London standards - there's not much else to complain about! I've also had their tan tan noodles, which came with 5 or 6 pork shu mai. The shu mai was alright, I don't think they make this, and it was in a spicy peanutty soup. I've had proper tan tan noodles before, and this kind of missed the mark. Tasty in general, yes.. but doesn't really resonate a true bowl of tan tan noodles. i think I'm just gonna stick with normal noodles in a basic broth + meat! As for seating, there's a little table with a few small stools, but good luck getting a seat unless you're on your own! There's also a huge jar of chili oil on the table too, so don't forget to drizzle some over your noodles before taking off. The cost is very reasonable, especially for the quantity that you get. I think it runs you anywhere from £5.50-£7 per bowl, and even though they don't look THAT big - don't let it deceive you, as you will literally have to roll away. In Chinatown, a crappy bowl of noodles will cost you about £6, plus their "discretionary" (translation: mandatory) service charge. However, be prepared to wait for your food! Its awesome watching the noodle man do his thang, but with everyone standing around watching, its hard to figure out where to queue, and if people are even waiting in the queue. I believe this is a 2-man show, and while I get that they are popular and I'm sure they're popping out as many orders as they can - we waited 45 minutes for 4 bowls of noodles, which is a bit ridiculous. I think if they had a 3rd person in there, it would really speed things up. In any case though, if you have a lazy Sunday, get in line :)

While the market is worth a trip in and of itself (if seemingly endless streets of awesome vintage finds and other food stalls are your thing), The Poutinerie sealed the deal for me. If you've followed along with my reviews this shouldn't surprise you, but I consider myself something of a poutine connoisseur. I wasn't super optimistic about the quality of the poutine in London, but I had no reason to be skeptical, as The Poutinerie delivered. Maybe it's just because everything is better served out of a food stall, but the dish was great. I got the regular, and the curds-to-gravy ratio was good, and the fries were fresh. No complaints here! Service was quick and friendly as well. It was a little more expensive than I was expecting, but well worth it considering just how badly I was craving poutine at the time.

Otherwise, you can order the The Coq au Vin or the Philly Cheese Steak. I'll upload some pictures so you can see what this includes. I overheard as I walking past once done with the markets that this was their first day. I hope it went well for them and I hope they return. I think they have a really good product.

I was very excited to try these pies out! The pies don't come with any sides, such as mashed potato or mashed peas. That's not a dealbreaker though, as they are meant to be eaten on the go and adding mushy peas would be a challenge. We both enjoyed the pies and I'm glad we chose them from all the options in the market, especially since I was growing tired of fish and chips. Great pies - I'd eat them again!

On our 9 day visit in London, one of our quests was to find the best British meat pie in the city, and we're happy to say this is the One! Our admittedly subjective criteria includes: - Pie must have a good balance of gravy and fillings - Fillings must be meat-forward, and not overly displaced with potatoes, carrots or other 'fluff'. Caveat: non-meat fillings must still be present and enhance the pie. - Crust must be crispy, all-around (no soggy bottoms!), but balanced with the fillings. - Value (quality for price) matters Along these lines, this Borough market vendor provided the absolutely best pies we found in all of London. We ordered the "Moo & Blue" which was a beef steak and Stilton cheese pie for 8 or 9£. Start to finish, the pie was crispy, well-balanced, while still offering the best price around. There were a variety of other pies offered, each with clever names (Deer & Beer! Kate & Sidney!), and we wish we had more time to sample them all, but we're sure we'd be quite well pleased with any of them. Is it easy to eat a meat pie in the crowded Borough market location? No. But, it was worth it! All hail, Pieminister!

Offering a diverse selection, Pump Shoreditch is the perfect place to sit down, grab a drink, and eat into a food coma! While exploring each station, I understood why it was called Pump - the vicinity used to be a gas station or at least looks like it used to be one. There is a giant awning similar to that of a gas station. My friends and I stumbled upon it one brisk March night and we each bought food from different vendors because that's how you get a taste of everything. What caught my eye was a vendor who combined Mexican and Turkish cuisines. I ordered a chicken shish bowl: burrito bowl + chicken shish kebab = love. Hot damn it was amazing! I scarfed that meal down like nothing - mostly because I was starving and hadn't eaten all day. The chicken was perfectly spiced and on served with salsa and veggies iver rice...youre definitwly hitting thw jackpot! I'm sure you guessed it by now...I ate into a food coma, haha. Worth it! There are vegan vendors as well and cultures range from the aforementioned to Middle Eastern to Argentinian to Japanese and more! These markets usually offer the best food and Pump certainly didn't disappoint! If you're a foodie and you love food markets (i.e. Smorgasburg), you'll love this place!

    Of all the street food places in Shoreditch, I think Pump is my favourite. It's a little quieter…read moreand more intimate than say Dinerama, great for a date or just hanging out with friends. It's not too loud so you can actually have a conversation. The food selection is really varied and interesting, with international cuisines including Mexican, Brazilian, Argentinian, Italian... My favourites though are the Asian stands - Makimayo and Nosteagia. I have reviewed Nosteagia separately so won't go into too much detail, but will say that the hot bowls are reasonably priced, delicious and substantial and the bubble waffles are to die for. My other favourite is the 'popcorn chicken' from Makimayo. This isn't how you'd imagine popcorn chicken, it's huge chunks of panko breaded chicken breast in your choice of sauce - the Szechuan style Gangnam is justifiably the most popular. They have a decent number of stalls catering to vegan as well. I like the layout of Pump, and having been an old petroleum station it's an interesting space. Gets a bit chilly though - there are fire pits but I've never seen them used! Oh and the bathrooms are inside Boneyard, just inside the kitchen and not signposted at all! No alcohol is sold on site but you can bring your own, which isn't a bad thing.

There are several selections of wrap: steak, bulgogi turkey (will go back to try that), vegan, etc. We popped in here after our Salad Kitchen plans were foiled (burst pipe!) -- this stall is usually right across the street from SK, so here we go. The cute hand drawn menu drew me in, as did the smell of bulgogi...mmmmm. The good: Fresh wraps! Interesting composition! Big! Huge portion of the steak wrap...it felt like a burrito. 7.50 might seem steep but the quality of the meat was high and it was made fresh right in front of us. Very good value. The maybe-not-so-good: The ingredients are wrapped in nori (seaweed paper and then wrapped in actual paper. Unfortunately, they are super messy to eat, unless there is some trick I am unaware of. Foil might be a better choice? I don't know but ish was everywhere, I was glad to be with a close colleague and not with those I would need to look proper in front of! The bubble tea- meh. It was just sitting up on the counter (I thought it would be made fresh and these were just an example set of teas) -- and I don't know about you, but I don't really want milk tea that's been sitting for a long period of time, you know? Plus they mixed boba with the jelly balls, I hate the jelly balls. I wanted all boba. This is a pretty big thing with bubble tea -- so I basically didn't like mine at all. I would skip it next time return. Overall, a solid little spot - sans the old bubble tea. The wraps are nice, I'd love an option to get the ingredients on a salad or in a bento box type thing, for ease of eating. I went for the bulgogi steak, and to be honest, I could stand next to this steak being cooked all day long. 7£ is well, not cheap, but you'll be fed for a few hours, trust me :)
