Inside, there are a good number of tables and had a nice ambiance. Our server came quickly and helped us pick out some dishes. We went with the chicken hibachi, Singapore style noodles and a Chicken Coconut Curry. Our food came within 10min and was fresh and flavorful! My favorite was the Singapore noodles which had such a unique flavor and wished I asked for more spice but the chili sauces did the trick. There was plenty of chicken and really enjoyed the thin noodles as well. The hibachi was also super flavorful and came with plenty of chicken as well. The yellow curry was okay but appreciated the amount of chicken and veggies. After finishing the three dishes, we felt stuffed and good thing we could walk it off being in downtown! Never in my life have I ordered spicy tuna rolls that tasted "sour". The tuna looked like it came from a tin and was just mixed with mayonaise and sprinkled with cayenne pepper. Extremely disappointing. read more

The food is hit or miss here the almond chicken is pretty good but they barely give you any sauce So I'd ask for extra sushi is pretty good they have changed the way they make things and I don't think they are as good as they once were I don't think I've ever seen it busy and I've gone on a lot of different days at different times so if you have a get together this is a good place to do it read more

Asked for medium rare steak but was definitely on the medium-to well side. They give you plenty of steak and the portion is enough food. Comes with a soup and salad. The soup reminds me of pho broth. They serve a lot of food on the dinner menu. I had the bento box which had raw whitefish, salmon, tuna and swordfish with wasabi and ginger. There was tempura shrimp, sashimi rice balls, a salad with ginger dressing, and spicey tuna sushi, gyoza and soup dumplings. The bento is a shareable dish. My son ate the ramen and It was so flavorful and plentiful. My husband had the hibachi with cubed steak served with miso soup and a good sized salad. He said it was delicious. We also had bao! They were so fluffy and the pork belly had a sweet flavor. We are going back! The service was exceptional. Our waiter helped us with decisions. They serve all types of tea and soft drinks. We ordered the chicken hibachi and steak hibachi dishes this weekend (pick up). The food is always great! I usually have eggplant as well. This was the 1st time ordering the Hibachi dishes. The ginger dressing for salad, yummy. Not enough vegetables w/hibachi dishes-drats! :) The only other disappointment was the steak. They had an extensive sushi menu which looked really good but I can never pass on a ramen. It had some heat but was really good with a coconut type broth, chicken, and ramen noodles. Everything (outside of the weird service) was SPECTACULAR. We have not had soup dumplings since traveling to Seattle and have never found them on the east coast....these bad boys are good. This is one of my favorite places to eat in downtown Greenville. I've been here so many times and each time I come, I am never disappointed. Their food is always top quality and we are almost always immediately seated which is super nice considering other wait times at surrounding restaurants. They have the BEST shrimp tempura appetizer I've ever had. They have a wide variety of menu options so there truly is something for everyone. Also ordered the hibachi for two. It came with a soup and salad then the main course had chicken, shrimp, and steak. It was absolutely delicious. The only thing that could've been better were the drinks. We all agreed that they were pretty weak. That was kind of a bummer... Overall it was a good experience though and it was reasonably priced. Thank goodness for little surprises. My wife and I stumbled into this place looking for lunch - was not the first choice, but it was the best choice. Here's why 1) The place is cool and clean. Well taken care of 2) the staff is excellent. Friendly, happy, care about customers, and want to be there. 3) the food - I have eaten at so many of these places - bento box, sashimi, hibachi - all of them - ALL of them are overly salt laden, typical. Every bite here was not typical. - Chicken Satay - quite good - instead of the normal goopy peanut sauce - something clearly homemade - a spicy sauce that had peanut tones, but so deep and complicated - Gyoza - soft, big, moist - again, not typical - really flavorful with fresh onions and cilantro - and a mellow sauce - done with love - Sashimi - top notch - Hibachi Plate - typical - but what was not - is that it didn't rely on salt for the flavor - it relied on the fact it was cooked with care, had nice spices and was simply super I would recommend this to anyone Well done! read more

We visited The Orient on Main during our weekend stay in Greenville. Kelsay and I both like Asian cuisine, but I am very particular about the kind of chicken I like to eat... if I have the choice I prefer chicken breast over most other parts of the chicken (I know, I know.. classify me as a picky eater) But knowing this, I saw that the majority of their hibachi and wok chicken dishes are prepared using premium chicken breast so I was excited to try. Normally we get different different things so we can sample both, but that day we both got the General Tso's Chicken. IT WAS GREAT! Although I did expect a little more spice, the flavor was great and the portion was large enough to have leftovers. The sauce did have a slight kick, but also some sweetness we weren't expecting. The General Tso's dish (and the other wok specialties) come with your choice of egg or spring roll, and we got the spring roll. That was pretty standard, very crispy and tasty. My only complaint is that the chicken only came with 3 broccoli pieces.. cmon man lol! Other than that, the food was great, and service was fast!
