This is my favorite place to eat in all of Greenville! I've tried so many things from here and have yet to be disappointed! I have had some foods that I haven't liked per say but I think it's just preference like the beef bi bim bap (I may have spelled it wrong) the flavors were not as well as I thought they'd be and the Japanese curry which I'm not the biggest fan of curry. But the deep fried sushi gamecock and izakaya roll are the best things on the menu! Also great for someone who's not the biggest sushi fan! Very good bi bim bap! They do theirs with seasoned ground beef from a ribeye steak. And you can choose a regular bowl or stone bowl and I chose the stone bowl. The fried egg on top was delicious and the rice was cooked to perfection and the sauce is just the perfect compliment to the dish. Add extra beef though because you want a little more meat. And the bartender was excellent with the customer service too! I'd go back for sure to try their other dishes read more

I write this in hopes management or ownership makes necessary changes. As a restaurateur and having opened over ten restaurants it saddens me to write a bad review, especially one for avoidable circumstances. Food is great. Be careful with drinks though as it seems they cut corners. I ordered a Soju Martini, advertised with Cointreau as the full proof spirit, I watched as the bartender used triple sec instead, changing the direction, strength and profile of the drink(and making it anything but a martini). When asked why, the bartender looked surprised that I noticed and said it must be a typo. No question to remake it, no offer for another drink. Upon finishing my meal and after not taking a sip of it the bartender, who should exemplify service, didn't ask any of these questions or ask to even take it off the bill. Disappointing. Hospitality should be the forefront, especially in a "finer" establishment. read more

I'm not sure that I would come back. The menu is full of rolls most of which are fried in one way or another and everything comes with multiple sauces. Me personally I like a more authentic sushi experience. That being said I ordered mostly nigiri. When the nigiri came out with toppings that's when you lost me completely. Love the vibes, and it's great date spot. Sake is strong and tasty and as a vegetarian my favorite dish is the bimbimbap. From what I've seen the customer service is well but they do not understand the order of things. For example we ordered everything at the same time because we knew what we wanted but we had specified that we wanted the apps first and entre after about 15 minutes so we could finish the first course. All the food came at the same time, there was no space on the table and we felt rushed to eat everything at once. Other than that this is currently one of my favorite places to eat. read more

Tried the spicy Korean ramen with chicken and it was excellent. So many flavors within one soup, each unique, with just the right amount of spiciness to enjoy it. I had a friend that really recommended this place and I'm glad I tried it. It's a little hidden. The restaurant is huge. We got sat right away. Our server was friendly and very helpful. We got several appetizers, udon noodles, sushi, and much more. The highlights are the chicken wings, sushi, and shumai. The wings were huge and crispy. Well worth the price. The sushi is fresh with big portions and the shumai was steamed perfectly. I did ask for chili oil or hot sauce and she gave us hot sauce and warned us that it was very hot. I can handle spice. My husband can too sometimes. I did one quick taste and I about died. It was the spiciest thing I've ever tasted. My eyes watered and my face flushed. When our server came back to the table I mentioned it to her and we all laughed and she said she has no idea what brand the hot sauce is but it's foreign and a lot of people can't handle the heat of this sauce. Unfortunately after one bite, I realized I didn't like the food I ordered and ask if there was any way I could get something else. My waitress nervously took my plate back and returned with a menu and relayed that the manager said to tell me that they normally don't take orders back but they will make an exception one time. Wow! Great customer service and treatment to your staff. Although she was very nice and polite I am unimpressed with any establishment that wouldn't take a dish back after it not agreeing with a customer. I could see if I had finished my plate but I clearly couldn't eat it and didn't intend to. I have worked in the restaurant industry for years so that is an atrocious policy that shames your customers and puts waitstaff in an awkward position to have to relay. Delicious rolls! Each ingredient contributed to the overall bite and taste and was a joy to eat. Also had Bang Bang shrimp. It did not disappoint either. Batter was crunchy but not overwhelming and the shrimp was meaty without being too chewy (iykyk). Service was very good. Our waiter was attentive but not overly so, the food came out in a way that was not rushed, but spaced so that I could enjoy and take time to have meaningful conversations. I loved the ambiance of the interior. A very high ceiling lent an airiness, while the wooden tables and smooth cement floors provided a warm earthiness. Lighting was somewhat dim, but that only added to the experience. I really loved the light fixtures! The only thing I'd call out was the layout of how the building sits on the property. The entrance faces the street. I feel like if the building were rotated so that the entrance faced the parking lot the flow into the building would be much more instinctual.
