I called Anthony and like Superman to the rescue he was able to rearrange a couple limos so we had a ride from the church to the reception. The other company offer us Ubers. No back up at all. I don't order limos very often so it's hard to compare Black Tie to other services, but I thought my experience was really great from start to finish. I called and got a quote from Anthony (owner/manager?) and booked the limo on the spot. He gave me a limo upgrade (to the hummer for 20 people) for no additional charge. Not only did the limo show up on time, it was early. The limo itself was top of the class, super luxurious, very clean. It was also filled with lots of bottled water, which my guests appreciated. The driver was very professional and a careful, good driver. He got us to our planned stops on time with no issues. The quote I got was roughly $700, fees + tip included, for 3 hours on a Saturday night, for up to 20 people. I did do a fair amount of research so I think it's a very reasonable quote compared to other companies in the area. All in all, the night went off without a hitch and my guests had a blast. A & S made my firend's bachelor party one of the most fun nights we've ever had! Looking for a reasonably priced car service in NYC is hard enough. Add in the reviews for most of the those services and you could be frustrated enough to just quit. However, it couldn't have been a better experience with A & S. Anthony was great to speak with on the phone, he explained everything clearly and even helped save us some money! Their 10 person stretch fit 6 full-grown men very comfortably (I wouldn't put more than 8, otherwise it would be a tight fit) and came with a stocked bar, which we quickly depleted. Our driver Mike was amazing and took us wherever we wanted, even on a tour of Manhattan and to liquor stores to restock. I would totally use A&S again for any special occasion. I reserved a stretch limo from these guys to take me from my wedding ceremony in Long Island into the city. They were very professional and it was a great experience all around. I spoke to the owner just about a week before the wedding and we negotiated the full package over the phone in about 15 minutes. I paid a little more than comparable places, but I felt like it was a good investment considering the good reviews they already have. Maybe another place would have been just as good, but why risk it? These guys were transparent and easy to deal with. The driver was there right on time and they even upgraded the car at no extra charge. At the end of the night, I paid exactly what we had agreed with no issues or surprises. I reserved a stretch limo very last minute for my 30th birthday, and Anthony and his secretary, Kim were incredibly helpful and efficient. Our driver, Michael, was incredibly polite, and even helped us play or own music. He was courteous and called us 20 minutes before his arrival as well as when he arrived (although it was obvious) , he brought us everywhere we desired safely within our 4 hour reservation. I rented a limo (QX80) for my wedding on 12/26/2016. Received a very competitive price and paid a deposit. I stopped by the place on the 1/4/2017 to confirm my reservation and was told by the assistant that she doesn't have my contract and "Anthony has it". She took a copy and assured me that my limo will be on time. On the day of my wedding, i called the company 30 minutes to the scheduled time. No one at the place had any record of my contract (original or a copy) or could have explained what happened. The only thing i was told is "Why i didn't call the night before". They did get me another limo (QX56), but it was smaller and not everyone in the party was able to fit in. Driver was courteous and apologetic, but the problem is not with him, but with whoever keeps the records at this place. read more

I realize that I need to leave more negative reviews or else my credibility will be shot. However, due to all of the positive reviews on Yelp I went with A&S Black Tie Limos for our buddies post-wedding party. I spoke with Anthony and he was down to earth and clear about what things will cost and how it'll all go down. I even had to change the location pickup since it was a surprise and that went off without a hitch. Only negative was that I think there was a processing fee to use a credit card? Something like $10? Seemed totally unnecessary for a business that has such a high sticker price. If he had quoted me $50 more and didn't tell me about a weird charge where I was punished for using a credit card, I would've cared less, but for some reason that charge bothered me. Regardless, it had no bearing on how awesome our driver was. PRO TIP: If you tip your driver well, he will take care of you. We had a lot of special moments and happenings this evening, and our driver was amazing through all of it. If I remember his name I'll post but for some reason I cannot recall it. This is the place to go. Stop looking, book with these guys. If you have extenuating circumstances, my recommendation is just to tip more and see what happens. read more

I booked an Infiniti limo for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. The owner, Anthony was very nice and friendly. The limo was clean and classy with alcohol and water. Bert, the driver came few minutes early. He was so sweet, opened the door for us and even purchased ice and orange juice for the vodka mix. He waited patiently as our guests arrived at second pickup. We ended up keeping the limo for 2 extra hours, it really worked out well! I highly recommend A&S to anyone looking to hire a limo for a special occasion. We were late to wedding, every girl had their makeup ruined, guys had their suits and shirts messed up. A couple of smart people in our party left the limo early and took an Uber. I was in NYC for a bachelorette party a few weeks ago and we surprised the bride with a limo to drive us around Saturday evening. Anthony gave us the best deal in the city by far, the car was in great condition, it came with a fully stocked bar (although that did not include mixers so we had to stop at one point to get some), and our driver Michael was awesome. Anthony wanted to meet in person to refund my $100. He was calm in person and attempted to reconcile the situation. He says the AC in the limo is working, however no matter whose limo you use in August, the cabin will not cool down... aka if you take any limo in August you will be drenched in sweat. Expect it. We used this service for our New Years Eve transportation to/from the city which really helped make our event special. The Porsche Cayenne limo accommodated 14 very comfortably, was clean and the bar was stocked...but above all of that, our driver, Mike, was ahhh-mazzzing!!! He was not just "on time" as expected, he was early, super friendly and fun - just an overall nice guy from start to finish and even went went out of his way to return items that we left in the limo the following day. We rely on car services/limos quite often, and while a clean car and promptness is something that is expected, our driver really went the extra mile (no pun intended!) which makes this particular service stand out from the rest. The office staff was also very responsive and helpful and I appreciated their ability to honor commitments and felt as if we were treated in a very special manner. Booked a limo for a bachelor party of 6 guys. Limo showed up on time. The driver was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. Alcohol on board. No complaints here. The reason I'm not giving 4 or 5 stars is because of the communication getting everything setup. I initially called and decided to book reservation over the phone. Anthony took down my information and said I'd get a call or email back once everything was setup, and he'd confirm which vehicle we'd have. I never got a call back, nor did I receive an email. I couldn't get through on the phone, and eventually I found an email address on the website, where I got a response back telling me everything was set up and good to go - great. When the driver arrived, he informed me that he couldn't move unless we paid *in cash* up front, first. Something that probably should have been discussed during the initial phonecall, or the follow-up call that didn't happen. Fortunately we were able to scrounge up all the cash needed to get moving, including asking the groom (for which his was later compensated). Then he greeted me and my husband, pulled my husband aside and gave him his card and cell phone should he want to call for any reason which really put our mind at ease. When I called to speak with Anthony during the week, he also said feel free to take the driver's cell phone if we wanted to call.
