Rented the service for our wedding September 2014. wanted to write a review for a while. Be careful as they do scam you on the time. The driver took his time leaving the photo shoot in DUMBO and took the local roads even though we asked to take the freeway. As a result we arrived 10 minutes late we were charged extra $150 (for an entire hour) which was clearly done on purpose and he had a nerve to ask for a tip afterwards. The driver did not look presentable as his outfit was wrinkly. There was no red carpet as promised in the contract. There were positive sides to the service like the driver was on time. Awful experience. They don't understand industry courtesy... or any courtesy at all. It is common practice in the Tuxedo industry where if you are a groomsman in a bridal party and the groom's tux place is too far away, you can walk in any tux place and they will measure you at no charge as industry courtesy. I needed to get a fitting and walked in. Woman with a nasty attitude said "ten dollars". I asked about industry courtesy, woman said "you're not my customer, u want free to to your groom's place!" I stormed out, googled for tux places, walked into Phil's Tuxedos on New Utrecht and got measured in 2 minutes. The guy by the counter there was super nice. They had a wide variety of styles and colors, and matched his girlfriend's lilac dress perfectly for the accents. My interaction with this company came after a hurried search and numerous calls to various limo companies Tuesday evening. My daughter's prom was Friday and the plan for her to ride with a group of friends fell through thereby setting off this frenzied search for a limo last minute. I called the 800 number Tuesday night, close to 11pm, and spoke to Aziza. I asked if she had any available limos for Friday and specifically asked about the Chrysler 300 limo. There were only six people in her party, so as her mother I felt that something overly extravagant wasn't necessary; the Chrysler seemed perfect. However, in addition to telling me about the Chrysler, Aziza told me about an available Hummer with jet doors that seated 20-22 people. She gave me a great price that, after thinking logically about, I couldn't refuse. I was really upset and worried that I'd have to spend more than my budget allowed being that it was such short notice but how could I not pay the additional $30/hr to have the Hummer over the Chrysler?? All of that space wasn't needed but, man oh man, my daughter's party pulled up in style! They had more than enough room, turned heads, and had the best night any of them could imagine (as per my daughter). Again, I'm so greatful and appreciative for the price, patience, and professionalism displayed by Aziza. I'm equally appreciative for their driver Jimmy who my daughter told me stayed with a smile on his face. She said he pulled up and stopped traffic! He was professional the entire evening, gave them clear instructions as to what time to be back to the limo and informed them that they should communicate any changes to their plan by calling him at any time. I needed a limo for my bachelorette party to take us from Brooklyn to Atlantic City. I called plenty of places but ended up choosing VIP Limousine & Tuxedo. They were moderately priced and pleasant to talk to on the phone. They were very efficient with our contract and answered any questions by email very quickly. Aside from that, that is THE only positive thing I will say about this company. When the limo arrived we had a lot of bags. I asked the limo driver to put them in the trunk and he informed us that the trunk was full. Really? How do you pick up 6 girls and have a full trunk?? We had to keep bags with us on the our seats. Luckily, two girls that were originally planned to come with us had cancelled, so we had the room for our bags in their spots. If they did come, we would have had nowhere to put our stuff. We didn't make a big deal about it at the time because we did have the room - but, honestly, the trunk should have been empty. After loading our bags, myself and 5 girls entered. From the minute we stepped inside, I was very unhappy. To start, the inside floors were very sticky. It was obvious there were spilled drinks and they never bothered to clean it. OK, it doesn't take a lot to make me happy, I looked past that. Once we sat, myself and all my girlfriends mentioned that we smelled urine - yes, urine! It was faint, but needless to say, we smelled it. At this point, we were all loaded in without any other way to get to Atlantic City. I already had people waiting for us in Atlantic City, so at this point, we just needed to get there. After getting seated, I looked at all the cups they provided. They were all dirty - some even still had the lipstick stains on it! Luckily, I had brought my own plastic cups for our hotel room so we used our own. It really was dirty. The whole cup/bar area was covered in a red sticky substance - maybe Cranberry juice. Again, not cleaned. At this point, I was really upset. I immediately took my cell phone out and started taking pictures. Unfortunately, you can't take pictures of smells (urine), or a sticky floor. But, I was able to take pictures of the dirty cups/bar area. A little while later, we wanted to play music - try to make the best of it. The radio didn't have reception - just static. The limo driver told us we could use our phones and gave us a really dirty, sticky wire. It didn't work. I had my own wires as well, and that didn't work either. We told the limo driver on the highway. He pulled over, got out and checked and came to the same conclusion. It was broken. Wonderful - now not only is it dirty and smell but now we don't even have music. I was so embarrassed. This is NOT how I envisioned my bachelorette party to start. I had to answer questions like "where the HELL did you find this place"?. I was so uncomfortable that I just couldn't wait to get out and arrive at my destination. Not to mention that the air conditioner was not working. We had it turned it all the way up and felt nothing. The limo driver indicated to us that he was going to keep his partition up so that the cold air wouldn't escape. When we felt no cold air, I knocked on his window and popped my head in to talk to him about it. Up front, by him, was SUPER cold! If anyone was getting cold air, it was him, not us. He asked if we had it turned up, I told him yes, and he didn't know. Another thing, broken. When we arrived, we checked into our room and I immediately called the company. I spoke to Wendy who did sound concerned. She asked if I took pictures, I told her I did and she asked me to email them to her. I did and never heard back. I was in AC for a few days - enjoying my party. I knew I would deal with this when I returned. When I got back, I emailed Wendy again and received no response. I sent another email 5 days later, showing annoyance. Two hours later, I finally received an email from Aziza Cher. She stated "it saddens that you failed to report anything right away. If sincerely you acknowledged all what you stated the moment you entered the vehicle, a phone call/text/email within seconds could've resolved the issues at hand". I was TRYING TO SALVAGE MY BACHELORETTE PARTY. I called AND emailed pictures AS SOON as I arrived. Her final words on the email were "I'm not sure quite what you are requesting from us, but sincerely regret you not enjoying your time in our limousine". Really?? This is how you handle customer satisfaction? Terrible. Can you imagine if this had been for my WEDDING? I am disgusted about how they handled the situation and even more disgusted on how the limo arrived. These are not the signs of a company that you would want to depend on for any important days of your life - or any day for that matter. I work for a law firm and I do intend on taking legal action. This should never happen to someone else again. If you want to remember your special day for all the right reasons, stay FAR away from VIP Limousine & Tuxedo. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS! My sister used this service for her senior prom, barely. The driver showed up in the wrong limo, poorly dressed, and an hour and a half late! When he arrived he drove them to the school, 5 minutes away, for the Pre-Prom ceremony. After the ceremony he was supposed to pull up to the front of the school and pick everyone up to take them to the catering hall for prom, just like the rest of the limos that other students had rented. However, he refused to pull up to the front of the school. He wanted everybody to walk to the limo which was two blocks away! We waited about 30 minutes for him to pull up in front of the school, but he never came! He drove away and left with everyone's belongings in the limo! We soon came to find out that he did not have his license. All of the teens had to get rides in cars to their prom. My sister was in tears! This company ruined prom for all of these kids!
