We adopted our first dog, Daisy, last fall, and I soon began to look for biodegradable bags to clean up her messes with. I came across Poop Bags on an internet search and loved that they are a local company. I ordered the rolled biobags to fit into Daisy's little Bon Ton bag dispenser. I ordered them 2 days before Christmas, and they arrived on Christmas Eve! A fabulous surprise! Shipping was insanely quick and free - a plus plus! I love that Poop Bags supports local shelters and rescues, hold contests, and develop new reasonable products (like their new bag dispenser/leash carryall). They're eco-friendly and service-oriented all around, which is important to me as a consumer. I just went to reorder since we're plum out, and saw that they're out of stock on all rolled biobags! AAAHH!!! I contacted Poop Bags via Facebook (since I'm a fan), and they responded within a few hours that they did the rolled bags on a trial to see what the reception would be. I'm definitely disappointed, and had to bite the bullet and order through another company that makes rolled biodegradable bags. Ok normally the product is great and I love that the owner is local. I have actually met him a few times at some local events. My complaint is that the customer service sucks! and I mean sucks. I left 2 messages, about a month age then called them last week and spoke to a girl who listened to my complaint and said "I'll call you right back". I never got that call back and I never received a call back from my previous messages. I have my own Dog Walking Service and I raved about this product to my clients who eventually switched and are now purchasing these bags based on my recommendation. I had purchased 2 boxes and as I was pulling out the bags, several of them were melted together so I was unable to use many of these bags. I took a photo and offered to come to their facility to show them the defected bags. Not only were the defected bags in one box but when I opened the other, there were more in there as well. This has never happened before so it must have been a bad lot. But a least call me back or something! I am searching for another company that compares to this one in regards to being green, made in the USA and are local. read more

I also have used poopbags in the past and have given glowing recommendations to all of my dog rescue friends. I was also very interested in promoting this product since, at the time, I was led to believe it was a local Chicagoland area business. Now the products are apparently shipped out of Georgia and I have no idea if they are produced there or overseas. The reason for my poor rating is also based on TERRIBLE customer service. I am trying desperately to get some of these to a rescue group based out of Beirut, Lebanon and I have a small window to work with. Beirut has a terrible garbage disposal problem so this was a product that they requested and I was happy to help out with. I can only send dog products to them when someone is visiting in the states and is willing to take extra supplies for the group back with them via airplane suitcase. You can FORGET EVER REACHING A LIVE VOICE TO TALK TO ABOUT YOUR ORDER. No one answers on the customer service line or the operator, you can only leave a message. After placing an order on the 18th, I was horrified to find out that when I went to track the package on the 22nd it was WAITING IN GEORGIA TO BE SHIPPED. I was finally able to contact someone via email to ask when they would actually be leaving the facility because I wanted to cancel the order, I was told that they were at the post office and that there was nothing they could do. This email conversation took place around 1-2:00 pm on the 22nd, when I checked the tracking later they were logged in as being picked up from the facility around 7-8:00pm. They ship from Georgia and apparently they are in no rush to get the product to the customer. I was told that they are very busy right now, I guess I didn't know that Thanksgiving was a poopbags giving holiday. I am so extremely disappointed by the complete utter and total lack of SIMPLE customer service like picking up a phone call or returning a call. I will be posting reviews on all of my rescue friends pages so that other individuals out there are aware of how they treat the customers that made them popular. I guess we only meant something until they got rich, very disappointing. I will have to find another source that actually wants my business and will get it to me in a timely manner.
