Same Ice cream as the other locations, which is good with a little more limit here. I tried to redeem the birthday coupon from the rainbow website with loyalty rewards for my gf birthday and we were told they don't accept it here, only Bunoa Beef loyalty rewards. I get they are inside Buona, but no ability to apply a reward under your brand is absolutely DUMB in 2025. Also, whoever was at the front counter, didn't get her name, seemed very disinterested in helping us with getting samples. No smile no hello greeting. Less than enthused with this location as opposed to Lombard. Won't be back here.

Omgoodnessss! I had rainbow ice cream earlier this year at the city and when I heard they opened one my old neighborhood, I almost died! So the original rainbow cone got a contract with Buena Beef and hence why they are next door. The location is in a high traffic area where you can see them on the road. Their pink colors stick out! Love the decor inside. Definitely feels like an ice cream shop. I got the quart of rainbow ice cream which came with 4 cones. So the reason why I love this ice cream so much is how the flavors all just blend well together. It even open a soft spot of the orange sherbet which is not my favorite. Pistachio still my favorite though! Service was quick and staff was so friendly. She definitely loves working here! This place needs to come to Vegas!

Such a cute store, it's vibrant, very well lit, clean, and colorful, making it a great spot to hang with friends or family. The workers were very friendly and fast at making the rainbow cone. Overall was yummy and I loved all the flavors! Worth checking out this 95 year Chicago tradition if you're looking for a new spot to check out.

If you see The Original Rainbow Cone Ice Cream food truck - YOU MUST STOP IN!!! A friend had told me about it and I just happened to be driving by and I pulled in and am so glad that I did! There is a brick & mortar store on Roosevelt Rd in Lombard, but this location is so close to me! The food truck is so adorable and the sweet girls that work there are just as adorable and bubbly as can be! They made me feel so good just for stopping in! We asked if we could get the original rainbow cone in a bowl since we were going to take it home to eat. No problem! In fact, that's what they call a "do-si-do", I believe. They are only open on Saturdays and Sunday's from 1-10pm, and don't take cash, so plan your day accordingly and make yourself happy and glad for stopping in for some delicious ice cream! There are hidden surprises in the rainbow ice cream (pistachios)! Enjoy!!

The original rainbow cone is such a delight every time!! We had a truck stop by our community event and it was such a big hit. They had cups available with all of the flavors, and they were doing 2scoop cones as well. I got the strawberry and pistachio flavors, and we also tried a chocolate cone (which was devoured too quickly to actually get a photo!). Truly flavorful and a great Friday night treat! Thank you!!

I went to the West Chicago location a week ago, and loved it, so I figured I'd try Bloomingdale,…read moresince it's closer to home. What I liked better about this location than the West Chicago one was that there were labels on all ice cream flavors! Interesting flavors: tequila, buttery nipple.... I got 1 scoop of mint Oreo and one scoop regular Oreo. They were just as delicious as the strawberry cheesecake I had at the other location. They're now one of my new fav places for ice cream! They'll give you samples of whatever you'd like to try, which is nice because the flavors are so unusual. I'm a non-Spanish speaking, Coldstone Oberweis-eating mama, and ice creams with spice aren't my usual cup of tea. They also sell a few Mexican foods if you're not into ice cream. But if that's the case, why the heck'd you go to an ice cream shop? I got mine in a dish but they have waffle cones. And it's so cheap as compared to other places! I'd recommend checking it out if you're sick of the typical flavors the typical ice cream shops.

I came here with my friends two weeks ago, and we LOVED our experience. Another reason I love this…read moreplace is because it's not just some mediocre chain with locations everywhere; instead, it's a small local chain with only two locations, one in Barlett and one in Algonquin. Walking in, you see an ice cream counter with plenty of different ice cream flavors. They allow you to sample some of the flavors, and my friends did that, but once I saw the "S'more to Love" flavor of ice cream, I just had to order it. Like any other ice cream shoppe, this one offers different types of cones. They have waffle, sugar, and dipped cones, as well as bowls and waffle bowls. There are plenty of toppings you can choose from, too! For those who are not fans of traditional ice cream, the shoppe has plenty of other menu options: shakes, malts, coffee, popcorn, sundaes, chillers, cotton candy, cannolis, tiramisu, edible cookie dough, and rootbeer floats. Only some ice cream places offer those things, so I like that this place has unique options. When we arrived, they were closing in about 30 minutes; however, the two teenage workers didn't seem to mind and allowed us to take our time with choosing our flavors. They also didn't kick us out as the time got closer to closing time, but we felt bad and left before that anyway. Price-wise, it's comparable to other places: $3.99 for a kids' scoop, $4.99 for one scoop, $6.49 for two scoops, and $7.99 for three scoops. A plain waffle bowl or cone is $1 extra, specialty waffle cones that are dipped and have peanuts are $1.75 extra, and chocolate-dipped waffle cones are $1.50 extra. Cake cones are not extra. Overall, I would definitely come back here, and my friends agreed that they would, too. The ice cream is fresh and delicious, they have many unique options, the service is friendly and quick, and they have a cute seating area.

I was treating my parents for my dad's birthday month (My daughter has a lot of activities, lol) and the menu appeared to have something for everyone. The 22 minute drive to Itasca was so worth it! The restaurant, which is open to the public, is on the same property as the Itasca Country Club, which is not open to the public. You go down the stairs, through the developing pizza bar, and to the restaurant. The restaurant space itself is cozy, with beautiful, natural lighting, and lots of seating options. We were asked booth or table and seated right by the picture window with beautiful views of their ice rinks and golf course. The food was above and beyond my expectations! Between the 5 people at the table, I sampled the French Onion soup, Sweet & Spicy Brussels, Bacon Smash Burger, Pot Roast Grilled Cheese, Sweet Tees (Donut Holes), Peanut Butter Smore-o, and Verde Dulce. The soup was not salty as I find some iterations, the brussels had complex flavors with hot honey, bacon, candied pistachios, and crumbled feta. The pot roast grilled cheese was very flavorful, but my boyfriend did state he wished the sandwich had more meat in it. The Sweet Tees donut holes were cooked to perfection without being oily and the jam accompaniment was a perfect texture and level of sweet. The Peanut Butter Smore-o was creamy and decadent with its perfectly ratioed layers of ganache, peanut butter mousse, Oreos, and whipped cream. The Verde Dulce, though, was the delicious classic olive oil cake with pistachio gelato & that throwback of candied pistachios from my appetizer. Even better than the food, our server, Kara, was one of the sweetest, most attentive human beings! She answered all of our questions, refilled our fountain drink and iced tea glasses when they were at 75% without prompting, made sure my dad felt celebrated with a candle, etc. Her teammate who was in charge of clearing our table was also prompt and I appreciate her asking what plates she could take. Overall, it was a beautiful late morning/early afternoon with delicious food and impeccable service. 10/10 recommend!!!

If you haven't discovered Fox & Turtle yet, you're missing one of the best hidden gems in the area…read more I was genuinely surprised to learn it's open to the public because it feels every bit like an upscale private country club. The outdoor patio overlooking the golf course is absolutely beautiful--relaxing, scenic, and the kind of place that makes you feel like you're on vacation. Even on a busy Thursday evening, the atmosphere was lively without ever feeling hectic. Our server, Jordyn, was outstanding. She looked young, but don't let that fool you--she was completely on top of everything. We were a party of six that couldn't decide what we wanted, laughed way too loudly, and probably tested her patience more than once. She handled us with grace, humor, and a smile the entire time. Somewhere along the way we started calling her "Wednesday" from The Addams Family, and she rolled with it perfectly. Great sense of humor and fantastic service. The food was excellent. The Crispy Eggplant Salad was absolutely phenomenal--fresh, flavorful, and easily large enough to share between two people. The burger was cooked perfectly, the cocktails were outstanding, and everything arrived promptly. The bar staff also deserve a shout-out. They were welcoming from the moment we arrived, made great eye contact, acknowledged everyone immediately, and had drinks in our hands in no time. That's the kind of hospitality that makes people want to come back. Fox & Turtle has the rare combination of great food, attentive service, excellent drinks, and a beautiful setting. It's the kind of place you expect to find inside an exclusive club, yet thankfully it's open for everyone to enjoy. We'll definitely be back.
