Since that time it has remained one of the best go-to spots for thrifting in the area. Of all the thrift shops in the South Bay, undoubtedly Savers never ceases to amaze. As can be expected, this thrift store offers all of the things you would expect to find: clothing, shoes, books, records, toys, kitchenware, electronic items, and pretty much everything else you can think of. Plus, they are constantly stocking new items, so every time you go in to this business you're guaranteed to see something new. I know a lot of people talk about the prices at this thrift store. For pretty much all of the items I find them to be very reasonable. In fact, you can truly find some one of a kind items for incredible prices. In terms of the clothing, yes, they are a bit high in their pricing compared to other thrift store chains. For some people, they may not want to spend $12.00 to $20.00 for say a used shirt. Though this is not always the case, a lot of their clothing is fairly expensive. This is just something to keep in mind if you haven't been here before. If you're going to be shopping for clothing at Savers, you've pretty much have got to expect to pay the top dollar for it in terms of the used market. This is a necessarily bad or good, and it isn't a criticism, it's just the way Savers operates. Overall, this is a truly good shop. I can't say enough about this place and the staff here are always super nice and friendly. Overall, it's one of my favorite places to thrift. You never know what you're going to find. This is a smaller goodwill. It's organized and well kept. More than half the store is for clothes. The bad: The coffee table was missing a metal spoke in the back. The cashier said she'd ask the manager for a discount but the manager said no. Outside of the coffee table, I didn't see many interesting home goods. I'm usually most interested in the plates, pots and vases section but there weren't a lot of great options here. There were very few toys. The interesting: I grew up shopping at goodwill with my dad. Well she walked up to me and asked me what I had. I thought she was just curious about what I'd ended up getting and said tea cups. She asked me where I was going with them, that I needed to purchase them. I was at a loss of words. Why would I be walking out of a store with a taped up box if I hadn't paid for it?!?! I even had the receipt in my hands. The lady that helped me with my purchase walked up and stated I'd paid for it already. I cried when I got into my car. From my experience, this store is most commonly geared towards a younger audience. I checked for brand, size, type of fabric and if it looked brand new. I found 9 items in less than 30 minutes. I'm not even trying. I went to the fitting room to try them on. I liked 3 of them. One of the items I put away was a vintage wool sweater (made in the USA) and while it was beautiful, the neck was small, the fabric felt stiff, and on top of that it reeked of dust. My mom even commented that I smelled like dust after putting the unwanted clothes back in the "go back rack." The 3 that I found were: - Madewell cardigan - mustard color ($9) - J. Crew Teddie sweater - caramel color ($8) - a men's sweater that I can't tell the name of from the cursive. But it looked brand new. it was a dark burgundy color. ($8) Note-able go-backs: - Levi's plaid checkered button up long sleeve shirt (red and black) - Tommy Hilfiger sweater in dark green (I regret not taking this but it was too big for me) - Nordstrom cashmere blend white sparkly sweater - this was too small at the waist - felt like a cropped sweater. not my style. My mom found vintage 80's/90's princess house dishes for $6. That is a steal considering she bought one at an antique mall in San Juan Capistrano for $35. They have everything from clothes to silverware to home goods, vinyls, shoes, art, jewelry, and more. They wrap your items up with paper so they stay protected while you're transporting it home. Right now, they have their seasonal Christmas items up and available for purchase. The store can be difficult to get around depending on whether or not you have certain accommodations necessary for navigation. For example, no ramps inside despite some steps, and some of the spaces are fairly narrow. However, the store has a sign up that they're happy to try to help all customers access the store; you have to let them know if you need help. Overall, I found their prices to be fairly competitive. They do have sales which you can find out about via their Instagram page. They do not offer any discounts on items. They accept both cash and credit cards, but prefer cash. If you use a credit card, your minimum purchase must be at least $10 or else you incur a fee. If I read things right, they only accept Visa and Mastercard.
