Love this place. They have excellent servers and bartenders. Food is great. I would recommend their pizzas and Friday Night Fish Fry. Salad bar is always well stocked and their homemade soups are delicious. They also open early on Sundays to serve omelets, which are huge and very good. Stopped by for lunch and discovered a great menu and really good food. Had the southwest wrap with homemade potato salad and also tried the spicy chili. Everything was excellent. Potato salad was definitely homemade and the spicy chili was...get this...actually spicy ! Fresh food, good portions, great flavor, great service. I will be back. read more

The service was friendly, but slow. The food was mediocre. They list a dish as having crab in it, but serve imitation crab. It's not even quality fake crab. The place is full of Trump paraphernalia, and the customers are who you'd expect from that. I didn't feel comfortable there with all the stares, whispers, and some of the symbols worn by them. This is one of the few places all my kids are ok going to BUT we walked out today because the waitress was not wearing a mask and the bartender had hers at her chin. We should have expected as much because there was a very passive aggressive sign on the door stating that because of the governor they had to have a sign about masking on the front door. Will not be back unless we want to join in the COVID fun. read more

This is the best hometown restaurant/bar. We moved here 2 years ago and have tried many restaurants in the area as well as Appleton, Menasha, etc. We go there every Friday for dinner since the have the BEST seafood dinners. Other food like burgers, pizza, cheese curds, etc are also phenomenal! Green Bay games are a blast and very friendly people attending. The owners, bar staff, and servers are great people. My first time at the outpost and I thought it was the best fish fry I have had in such a long time. I am so glad my uncle recommended it. The perch was piping hot, I actually had to wait to eat it. The German potatoe salad could be better than my mom's (don't tell her that haha) , if you do go here be prepared to wait because when we went it was packed and it also gets awfully hot in there. So I went here the other day and was surely surprised before even entering the building. Not only was this attached image posted on the door, but the whole packed restaurant as well as pretty much all staff had no mask on. This made for a really great hometown vibe that is about to be wiped out by COVID! Their food was so awful, the Ruben pizza was insanely dry and the wings might as well have been raw. The fact this sign is posted to the front door really gives you a good idea of who they stand for and what they represent. It almost feels like politics should stay out of a restaurant? I guess they know their exact crowd they are trying to attract by posting that and most unfortunately based on how busy it was it think it worked. Warm and cozy feeling. The staff are so sweet and accommodating! We always get the perch and it is so good! There are 3 different sizes which I love. Decided to try a new place with a few friends for the Badgers B1G Championship game. While it was very busy the servers were rather consistent with stopping by our table. That was the only shining area in a rather annoying evening. To the individual behind the bar, who we later learned was the owner, put down the mic during the game. If I wanted to hear the Ric Flair "whoo" all night I would've gone to a WWE event. This, along with commentary during the actual game, quickly turned annoying. We wanted great food, drinks and atmosphere to watch a game - we instead got an individual who wanted his voice to be heard on a mic for three hours instead. Atmosphere is the primary reason to come to this small town bar. During Packer's games everyone in Sherwood shows up. There are always drink and food specials as well as the opportunity to make the game a little more fun. The food is nothing stand out, it is all pretty typical bar food. There are a few local beers on tap (usually from Appleton) which is nice to see. Since it is close by I am certain this will become a regular spot to grab a quick bite. It is also the only place nearby that has take out pizza that is not just frozen pizza I could have made myself, so that is another advantage that the Outpost boasts. read more
