My wife was a patient at this pain management practice, and our experience was extremely disappointing. During one visit, I had a disagreement with a staff member involving political comments. Prior to that, my wife had informed me that a staff member had made remarks about politics during her appointment. Shortly after my disagreement with staff, my wife received a dismissal letter stating that she was being discharged as a patient due to "numerous" disruptive incidents involving people accompanying her to appointments. To my knowledge, there was only one disagreement involving me, and my wife herself was not involved in the incident. I found it unfair that she was discharged from care based on a dispute between a staff member and her spouse. I also sent certified letters to management seeking answers and requesting communication regarding the situation but did not receive a response. As a result, we were left feeling ignored and frustrated during a time when my wife needed ongoing pain-management treatment. read more

I went to that s clinic for years. However I forgot my med bottle twice and then kicked me out. I'm handicapped as I was shot and Church in 2017. This Clinic is very close to my home and was so convenient for me. I now have to drive to Smyrna and to a doctor there, very inconvenient for me since I'm handicapped. I was referred to this pain clinic by neurosurgeon after a 7hr spine surgery for pain management. I don't have insurance, so I was a self pay client. They charged me $360. to see the doctor. The doctor asked me to take a urine test, even knowing i was on pain medications since my surgery, I was told it was formality. The doctor told me that he wanted to prescribe suboxone, which does nothing for my pain. I had been suboxone free for over 30 days, and don't wont to be on that medicine again. I told him the surgeon had sent me there for the pain management, not opioid addiction. The doctor seemed offended by my comment. The doctor seemed impaired himself, licking his lips continuously and was going in great detail about his own back pain, and he deals with it, as he spoke fast, with slurred speech. He told me there was nothing he could really do for me. The whole experience was very strange, and the whole visit felt like a SCAM.... I asked for my money back and was refused. I think Dr. Quoc, the pain clinic, and his staff handled my situation terribly, with no experience, professionalism, or empathy. I felt like I was robbed and hate to think that the state of TN gave him a license. He has NO ethics. read more

I was a first time patient. (7/30/24) I was given a 2:30pm appointment time. Arrived at 2:25pm and was told I could not be seen because I was not there at 2:00pm. I easily could have been there at 2:00pm but no one told me to arrive 30 minutes early. They gave me a 2:30 appointment time, told me to bring my driver license, insurance card and list of current medications. Nothing was said about arriving early. I was there for a steroid injection (referred by my chiropractor) for a bulging disc in my neck that is pinching a nerve. I have been in pain for 6 days and they refused treatment because I did not arrive early for the appointment. I find this unacceptable and detrimental to my health. Since I am first time patient, I do not know the name of anyone other than the doctor I was supposed to see (Dr. McHugh). The staff was rude and made no effort to rectify the situation other than to reschedule me for another appointment sometime next week. They do not care about your health. after taking the same medication for a herniated disc for over ten years this ignorant doctor from Pain Management Group claims he knows more than the previous 20 doctors I have seen and wants to cut my medication by 2/3. This is after his first meeting with me. I have Immediately switched doctors and am back on my proper amount of vital medication. In October, 2019 I had an appointment at the Antioch office. This time the nurse practitioner was a young guy named Dilmon N Abdullah. I have been getting steroid injections at the Surgery Center for about 6 years now. All the other nurse practitioners that I have seen prior to him, have been reassuring me that in November, 2019, it would be time for me to get the injections again. But needless to say, when I saw this guy he told me that I would have to get another MRI as well as other x-rays or my insurance would not pay for the injections. So in November I got the MRI and x-rays he had requested. Then when I went for my December visit, I was called back to the room and a man came in stating that he had my MRI results. A nurse practitioner came in the room with him but I didn't know her. This man, I found out later was actually a dr, by the name of HAI NGUEN, DO.. This so called doctor told me that my MRI showed that I had no real problems and he actually showed me the results which most everything did say that there were no abnormalities. He went on to say I didn't have any reason to get any injections according to what my MRI said. I looked at him, VERY CONFUSED, and asked how my MRI could be that much different than the other MRI'S I had gotten before. I also said, what about all of my back problems from the x-rays. I assumed they were in my medical record at the clinic. But he literally gave me no answer and told me very bluntly that my pain medicine would have to be lowered. I WAS IN SHOCK! To think that this so called doctor had the nerve to lower my medicine!! I'm sure he could tell that I wasn't happy so just before he left the room he told me that he could give me my usual pain medicine if the lowered dose didn't help me. Well there is alot of difference in the new medication and I can tell a BIG difference in how I feel. It doesn't work nearly as well as the other and I have been hurting pretty much all of the time!! Last month I went for my appointment and I was going to let him know that my medicine needed to be put back to what it was (like he said he would do). But wouldn't you know, he just wasn't there. I go back next week so I will try again to see about getting it changed back! I honestly don't believe that the MRI he had was really mine. Even though my name was on it, it didn't show any of my prior problems and no they didn't just change and go away. I truly believe either my MRI was switched with someone else's or they are trying to get rid of me. I fell backwards onto the hard ground about 10 years ago and a few years after I fell I had severe pain, which was sciatica, since the pain went all the way down my right leg into my right foot, which started out from my lower back. I was in severe pain and mostly bedridden and it felt like someone was stabbing me in my foot. I also had problems before that with my right leg flying out from under me several different times causing me to fall to the floor. I had no idea what was happening to me. I went to my primary doctor several times but nothing he did made the pain go away. Not even a little, so eventually I was referred to a neurologist and the MRI'S that were done showed where my pain was coming from. It was just above my tailbone in my lower back. I could even see it bulging out in that area! I saw on another person's review that this same thing happened to her since she said her MRI got switched with someone else's! So now I really do think something is not right and if I can't get my medicine changed back to what it was I think they will end up telling me I am fine and not to come back! read more

My husband and I went to this group for 4 months. At first we thought we may get some real relief from a company this big. With offices all over Nashville and surrounding areas, we felt pretty confident they would be able to help us. We chose to go to the White Bridge office because it's closest to our home. We saw a nurse practitioner who seemed to care about our health issues. From day one, we were asked to get X-rays, MRI's and CT's. That seemed reasonable. They needed current reports so they know what our pain issues are and how to treat them. My husband and I have different insurance. We were given prescriptions to treat pain issues and they set up appointments for both of us to get a series of injections in our backs. We were required to come back once a month for our prescriptions and random urine tests. Here's where the problems started: The first 2 appointments for injections are just "to see if they have the right nerve using numbing medicine." My first series of injections went fine. The second injections caused my leg and foot to swell a day later and sent me to the ER. My husband was scheduled during the same times for his injections at the same "surgery center" next door to the Antioch office ( also owned by PMG). Both times we got there - one 8 am appointment and a 10:15 am appointment 3 weeks apart, they told us his appointments had been cancelled. They couldn't tell us why they were cancelled or by who, and didn't have the courtesy to let us know before we drove all the way out there either. I kept very good notes on all the appointments, the tests, the time wasted going to appointments they cancelled without letting us know, etc.. Every monthly appointment for meds was ridiculous. They had us going to Antioch a couple of times instead of White Bridge. Each month we saw a different nurse practitioner that changed our meds. Every month. It was frustrating to say the least. Our second urine test, one of the nurse practitioners said we both had alcohol in our urine. Impossible. I hadn't had any alcohol since a glass of wine 2 months prior, and my husband hadn't had alcohol of any kind for 8 months. After all these mix ups and seeing different people each appointment, I finally called and talked to the office manager. I told her about all my frustrations regarding appointments they had cancelled without the courtesy of a call, how we had yet to see a DOCTOR ( except for my back injections), and a few other complaints. The next day my husband had an appointment with his oral surgeon. They did a procedure that was painful so I brought him home and he went to bed. The second day he was in bed, PMG called. I thought maybe they were calling to help straighten out some of the problems we had with scheduling, wanting to see a doctor instead of a nurse, etc. Nope. They called at 10:40 am to tell me that we had until 3:00 to take our prescription bottles to one of their facilities to get our pills counted. I explained to the girl that called that my husband had been to the oral surgeon a couple of days prior and had not been out of bed since. I explained that I was here taking care of him and that due to 8 eye surgeries, I don't drive more than a mile or so from our house. She said, " if you don't come in today for a pill count, you could be discharged." I explained again WHY it couldn't be done that day but offered to come the next day if he were feeling better. I didn't hear back. A week later, we showed up for our monthly appointment. The receptionist told us after we signed in that we had both been discharged. I asked if we could talk to the nurse practitioner. We were rudely told NO. I asked if she was going to write us a 2 week prescription until we could find another pain center. She went back to ask, came out and said, " she said no." Anyone that has physical pain and has been on pain management knows how dangerous and insensitive this is. We never got to see a doctor during our appointments here. I'm not sure exactly which office they hang out at, but they're not at the locations we were sent to. The PMG has about 11 locations. The Antioch office has all the testing machines. Right next door to that location is their " surgery center". My husband and I have severe physical issues. I don't think they care about any of that. I believe they need all these locations to pay for all the expensive equipment they have. If you question them or have issue with them, they find a way to eliminate you. I would have loved to seen and talked to a REAL DOCTOR but that's not possible. After reading some reviews, some ppl have been lucky enough to see a doctor. I'm not sure how you get to that status but I could care less. This place treated us poorly. Our MRI's, CT's and other tests show we have severe physical problems. I don't think that matters. I think you aren't supposed to question them or get aggravated when they cancel you and forget to tell you. read more

I am a retired RN and First Responder and after lifting patients for 30 years I have chronic severe pain in my back. I had been in pain management for years but I recently moved to Tennessee and made the horrible mistake of going to this group. This practice has several offices, but believe me, it doesn't matter which one you go to. You will hate them all equally as nobody is ever treated with respect from anyone. From the first visit the Dr. York changed all my pain meds even though I told him it had taken years for my prior Drs. to get my pain manageable. This Dr. even called my Drs. but he cut my meds anyway. I suffered for 2 months until another doctor at least gave me some relief, but that was very short lived. Then a nurse practitioner (you never see an actual Dr. once you are a patient there and you never see the same nurse practitioner twice) cut my meds in half and I suffered for anther 2 months even though I was begging for relief. I had a 3rd doctor there after only 4 months, Dr. Hill, who even refused to speak to me on the phone when I called crying in pain. They also put me through endless, useless tests and procedures that I had been through before and it only made things worse. I had to go back to my prior state to finish closing up my home there. While there, I was assaulted and sent to the ER by the police. When I told this group that, I was yelled at for not asking permission first! Now believe me, there is never anyone who actually answers your calls and rarely do you get a callback and then only during regular business hours, so at 2am calling for permission from another state after having been assaulted was not the first thing on my mind. They never even once asked me about my injuries! Do not go to this practice unless you enjoy being treated without dignity or respect. read more

This is another one of those pill pushing places they treat everybody when they come in as a drug addict. All there about it seems is money. They feed off of the pain and suffering of others. My appointment was at 10:00 it's 11:30 and I'm still waiting. Staff seem to try to be helpful but I'm sure dealing with the clientele they have to it's very trying but when I get somebody in here that doesn't want to appeal if flows over onto the new people. If any medical industry needs to be heavily regulated and controlled it is pain management groups these doctors probably can't make it in a regular field that's reason why they push pills on everybody else. Waited to post this until after a few visits and nothing changed. Staff don't care about patients including doctors. Do not go to the Clarksville location! No compassion for my pain. Went in for occipital nerve block for migraines as well as bad back pain. When I asked for pain meds refill, dr shrugged and said sorry can't help. I would need to make an appt. It's all about getting the most money out of you. I went to Comprehensive Pain when they were in business and now PMG has taken over their practices. I haven't had any issue. I've been treated with compassion and dignity. I love Dr. McHugh and feel like I get great care. I'm in pain all the time but what they give me takes the edge off so I can function. I think sometimes people don't understand that with some cases, like mine, you will never be without pain. The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars is that they are terrible about their appointment times. I don't care what your appointment time is you will wait 45 minutes to an hour or more to be seen. I know they have a lot of patients but it's frustrating! I've missed work several times because of long wait times. My time is valuable too! I have even gone so far as to take the first appointment at 7:00 a.m. They tell me it is the NP's first appointment and it will be 7:45 before the NP comes in. I don't think there is much excuse for that. I see all the bad reviews but trust me, I think some people can't get the meds they want or get discharged for not following the rules and get angry with them. I have found them to be a great office for treatment of pain. read more

I've been a patient of this clinic for over a decade and the care has steadily been declining ever since. The wait times have been ridiculous pre Covid era, and they push you to get expensive treatments that you cannot afford, and frankly don't really need because the last round of treatments hasn't quite worn off just yet. They definitely are in this to make money, not improve patient quality of life. They once billed my insurance for "surgery" that supposedly took place during a routine monthly medication refill appointment. If coming an actual doctor coming in to talk with you and explain how your yet to be scheduled radio frequency ablation will bring you much needed pain relief is a "billable surgery" to these money grubbing vampires, then that's a whole new low. That's criminal Medical Fraud, and this definitely it's the first time these doctors have been found guilty of it either. I'm stuck here because of the new opioid crisis laws and regulations, so finding a new place it's really an option right now. However, with that being said I will continue to not violate my Pain contract NOR will I allow them to take advantage of me because I have private health insurance, NOR will I allow them to fraudulently bill my insurance company because they think that they're patients are too naive to read an explanation of benefits! I also will continue to advocate for myself when it comes to expensive procedures that aren't necessary. I argued my case over not needing a new MRI after just having one performed just 14 months prior! I saved myself about $675 in insurance deductibles over something that wasn't even required by insurance before the procedure I'm being forced to have soon. Before it's all said and done, I will likely ask to be tapered off opioid medication so I don't have to continue to buy these ridiculously expensive treatments that have made these doctors filthy rich. I found the timing on the "pushing of procedures" post COVID ban of elected procedures all too obvious and outright disgusting as it said a lot about patient care verses profit margins and losses. After a total of nearly two decades with these people, one grows to expect patient care should exceed their need of greed. read more

Horrible. If you are a chronic pain sufferer DO NOT GO HERE. They don't listen. Instead, they go only by guidelines which means that if you do not fit the guidelines then you do not have pain and don't get pain medication. Period. If you don't like it, you can walk out the door with no prescription and find another provider to gradually take you off the narcotics you are on now. I chose to stay so that I at least do not have to go cold turkey into excruciating and debilitating pain. We'll get there slowly. And try to get them on the phone? Hardly. No one answers. I tried for 2 days, 2 different phone numbers for hours during business hours and could get no one to pick up no matter what option I chose. I will have to drive to the office to ask them a question. I hate these people already. STAY FAR AWAY. I am already researching for a new pain specialist. read more

I just recently moved to the Antioch, TN area and sought out The Pain Management Group after many months without any treatment for fibromyalgia, disc pain, and arthritis. I felt too bad to work, sleep, or exercise. When I went to The Pain Management Group, I was (in my mind anyway) on my last leg and becoming very sad (not really depressed, but gloomy) because I used to enjoy an active lifestyle. I also loved my career but found it difficult to work because I was focused on the pain. Making an appointment with this particular PM group was one of the best things that I've ever done. My first two visits were with Shannon Morrish and the next two were with Dr. Satish Reddy. Both providers were professional, attentive, and informative. They asked questions about my conditions and pain. Then, to my pleasant surprise, they actually listened. There's just a different vibe there. Dr. Reddy made me feel comfortable right away and was clearly interested in helping me find solutions and the best treatment options. A writer by trade, I was months behind on projects because I could not work due to the pain. I usually spent the first half of my week hiring other writers so I could spend the second half in bed. My pain had finally become a true weakness. It was slowly killing me and robbing any joy. Now, thanks to Dr. Reddy, I'm working more than I've worked in four years. I'm walking and exercising, and haven't felt this good in a very long time. Sure, I'm still in a lot of pain but it's tolerable and getting better all the time. While I'll always face pain challenges, at least I now have someone in my corner who will be willing to help find solutions. I'd also like to say that everyone in X-Ray and the front office/reception are super also. Many thanks to the entire staff at PMG. You're changing my life for the better! read more

*Perspective from an outside clinic who sees multiple former patients of PMG* This clinic is awful in regards to making it possible for their patients to get proper care after leaving their clinic. They have a "medical records processing service" (Provider Flow) who is supposed to send their patient's records out to the clinics who request them. We have sent tons of requests for records on various patients (which is needed for continuation of treatment when a patient leaves their clinic and transfers to another). The requests go MONTHS without the records being sent to us. Most of the time, we NEVER get the records. In turn, we tell our new patients they have to get their records in order for us to treat them. The patients then call PMG or go to their office and get the complete and total RUN AROUND. I had a patient tell me today he was told the records would cost him $1000 to get a copy of. I have even called PMG directly and have left several messages with managers to try to get this issue resolved. They have never returned one call. They are completely unprofessional and clearly do not care about the well-being of their patients. *BEWARE* of this clinic. You may not think you will ever need to find another provider, but things do happen and you may get discharged or you may not agree with their treatment plan for you, so you may have to find another clinic. If they cannot help ensure you receive proper care after leaving them, that should give you insight on the type of care they provide on a regular basis. *DO BETTER PMG!* Get a professional medical records processing company -or- establish an in-house medical records department that is fully staffed to handle the requests coming in. MRI shows Bulging disks, stenosis, arthritis, degenerative disk deserve... and after 8 years with one PM (their doors closed) I go here.. and they tell me I just need ibuprofen and Tylenol? And then literally rolled her eyes when I mentioned cbd oil... I argued with her on several different issues and she gets mad and storms out the door and over her shoulder says I need a mental health doctor...? Because I was trying to get a point across and she didn't want to hear it. They don't care. Been going here a year now and feel like I have to introduce myself every time! She acts like it's the first time every time I walk in! I have to remind her at every visit who I am and what I do for Not personable at all. Don't really give two $h!ts about your pain level. This place is evil. They act nice the first time cause it's a dr. Then you see god knows what or who when you go back. The amount of testing is insane and they never go over any MRI's like normal doctors. Claimed I have Stenosis in back and neck, and never saw the x-rays or MRIs. They demanded I get needle injections in my spine, which I don't need, and wouldn't trust them with a frog. God only knows what they write in your chart. Needed my prescription on a Friday and never got it, went through with drawls over a three day weekend that almost killed me, after syretta said she'd call me back in a little while on friday I Went outside to call transportation at 3;30 so not to bother anyone on my cell. It was 100 degrees outside and when done with the phone call needed to go back to an air conditioned waiting room for my ride. They locked all the doors on me so I could not get back in! WTF! Everyone else was using the doors. All people need to learn about Patient Abandonment now! It is illegal for any dr. treating a human being to drop you, or not give you your prescription. they must help you for 30 days and taper you, or help you find another doctor. People have rights! They can lose their medical license for neglect of any kind. This entire operation is a scam and fraud. Never can reach them, they never call you back, and they have disbicable god complexes knowing you're at their mercy. Get an attorney stat! It is against the law for them to lie, neglect, and not give you your medication, as anyone knows a person can die from cold turkey with drawls - stop this now! read more

IF YOU'VE EVER PAID FOR A DISC COPY OF X-RAY OR MRI YOU SHOULD MAKE SURE YOU GOT WHAT YOU PAID FOR. Told my WC doctor I wanted to see a chronic pain specialist. WC sent me here. I got stuck with Dr. Miller, who is an anesthesiologist (??). He gave me a semi-accurate diagnosis but held out my only option was nerve ablation surgery or nothing. This was the ONLY place that insisted I pay for a disc copy of my MRI. They are an hour away, so when I was able I drove the 2 hours, paid the $7 (OUTRAGES WHEN YOU CAN GET 10 DISCS AT BIG LOTS FOR $5) only to find out from my surgeon (there was another option after all!!) that the disc was blank!! BLANK!! I have the ap on my computer to be able to view MRI info so I would have known this sooner but as soon as I got my hands on the disc I immediately mailed it to the surgeon! A CON TO RIP OFF PATIENTS! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! DON'T GO THERE IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO! read more

Everyone in this office including the pharmacy employees are super nice. The doctors are so friendly and take their time with you. It makes you feel like they are truly interested in listening to you and hearing you. In other doctor offices, I feel like they are herding cattle and they spend less than 10 minutes with you. I came here after 2 years of being brushed aside, told I was overweight and that's why I was in so much pain, I needed to eat more boiled eggs, and to get gastric bypass, because "obviously" I couldn't do it on my own, I did EVERYTHING my previous pain management asked me to,(even though she was "obviously" in the same predicament as me since she was on the very heavy side too) well 3 surgeries later and almost 200 pounds down, they finally do an MRI of my back and knee and after 2 years I saw a real Dr, he takes a look at my MRIs and says "it doesn't matter how much you weigh because its a bone issue not a weight issue" and proceeded to tell me what was wrong with me, well I was crushed! I thought that losing more weigh like the nurse practitioner said id find some relief, well NO! And this was why the current medication wasn't working! so the Dr ordered more testing, in the meantime he changed my meds to something waaaayyyyyy stronger! on the next appointment I had my appointment with the same NP lady I had been seeing 2 years (mind you I have never questioned her about anything she said, nor been given "strikes" or failed any test) so when she sees me she sees the DR has changed my meds shes upset we go back n forth about why he changed them she looks at my MRI finally and says "oh" looks at me and finally agrees to re write what the DR wrote, meantime my mother is in ICU, on a vent, and while waiting for RX to be PRINTED and after being there 3 1/2 hours PAST my appointment time, I get a call form the hospital saying my mom was awake and they needed me to come down to sign a paper so that they can put in a feeding tube I said I'm right down the street (less than a block) ill be there ASAP, at that point I had been waiting on my RX to be printed for 45 min, I tell the assistant whats going on and ask if I can just come back for my RX after I sign the paper they needed me to sign for my mom, she says let me let NP know.... so NP comes to me and tells me herself if I leave I wont be getting my RX, that I needed to wait like everyone else. I was already upset about her treatment of me earlier, and I said well I need to go I been waiting over 45 min just for RX so she starts YELLING at me saying I went behind her back for stronger meds that she doesn't agree with are appropriate for me blah blah blah, all I said is "where is your compassion? my mom is in the ICU awake after almost a week and she needs a feeding tube! where the f@#$ is your compassion?" I didn't yell this, I didn't say it loud, I was actually quite calm, because I KNEW this would be my last visit.... she said you leave, you get nothing, you wait like everyone else. I'm giving you my back ground to say this.... I filed a complaint with my insurance against the previous PM, and they found PMG for me to start going to.... My first visit I saw the Dr., he looks at my previous records of 2 years, and all of a sudden I have write ups off failed urine screens,(where there was NO pain medication in my system, which is impossible, one of the screens being 2 days after one of my surgeries!) The NP had also wrote me up for being disrespectful to staff, which ultimately was the reason THEY discharged me! All I could do was laugh, because I was shocked!!! He sits down looks me in the eye and says "None of this matters here, I don't care if this is true or not, now that your here, we start off on a clean slate, so don't give me a reason not to trust you." I've been here almost 2 years now, they have done numerous testing's to help me find the "root" of my problem, they have seen me in between appointments when I have needed them to see me, they have given me medications that I have found some relief from, and they have explained to me in detail about my problems, they have never been dismissive about my concerns, they have no problem with me questioning them about my meds or treatments. They have never treated me disrespectful or made me feel inferior. I have seen mainly the same person, except on my urgent appointments. I would never go anywhere else!
