There is trash, empty beer cans, objects in the pool, left clothing, and exchange of the F word and loud Unbearable music are among the things you will experience. As the trash pickup is not scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays, you will smell your neighbors' trash left out on Friday morning in the summer heat until it's picked up on Sunday night. The buildings/breezeway are so disgustingly dirty with spider web all over the walls, dead insects and trash all over the floors in all the 3 levels. Cigarette but everywhere in a non s.oking community. Not mentioning the smoking around the pool. Not stepping on dogs poop is a challenge all by itself.​

That was different because most communities will have you sit on a golf cart and speed fast through the community. Stormie is my favorite leasing agent out of all the properties that I visited in League City. She has such a beautiful personality. I could speak with her for hours on end. She was non-judgemental and answered all of my questions with ease. She made me feel very comfortable. The Cortland community of League City is well-maintained, but I just wished that they had more open garages. An added bonus is knowing that they don't have white appliances, but instead SS appliances. The floor plans are spacious and the units don't look like a "cookie-cutter" generic apartment, but more like a home. They don't have a lot of availability like most other properties, but that's because the tenured residents love it here for a reason. Throughout my time at the property, I found management to be unresponsive and unwilling to address ongoing issues that affected residents. In my experience, many concerns were either delayed or not adequately resolved. I also encourage prospective renters to carefully read the lease agreement and fully understand all terms before signing. During my residency, I lived in three different units: 7105, 7104, and 4301. Unit 7105: When I received the keys, the apartment had not been properly cleaned. Shortly after moving in, the ceiling sustained water damage from the upstairs unit due to flooding. I was also concerned that the attic was never thoroughly inspected for potential mold following the water intrusion, and I did not see what I believed were adequate remediation efforts from management or maintenance. Unit 7104: Before I moved in, the previous resident had reportedly left the apartment in very poor condition, requiring extensive renovations. While many repairs were completed, the garage continued to have a strong odor of dog urine, and the apartment retained an unpleasant smell that never fully disappeared. I also observed what appeared to be previous water damage in the cabinet near the garage entrance. Based on what I saw, I was concerned that the repair may have concealed mold rather than fully addressing the underlying issue. Unit 4301: I was moved into this unit after another apartment became uninhabitable. Unfortunately, that unit which was 7309 had a significant German cockroach infestation that I believe existed prior to my move-in. Based on my experience, management was aware of the issue but did not take sufficient steps to eliminate the infestation before placing a new resident in the unit. I felt I had little choice but to accept the transfer because no other suitable options were offered. Overall, my experience at Catalon at Lago Mar was disappointing. The recurring maintenance concerns, cleanliness issues, pest problems, and lack of effective management response made it difficult to enjoy living there. For anyone considering this community, I recommend carefully researching other apartment complexes, touring the property in person, asking detailed questions about maintenance and pest control, and reviewing the lease thoroughly before making a decision.

The gate has no box and no plan to be repaired. The side gate by the office is always open. The back gate does work as advertised. Our unit (I think a B1) has a design flaw that only allows the freezer to be opened four inches. That combined with the ice maker placement results in my freezer being all but unusable. As a six year resident I have tried multiple times for a paid cover parking spot. Since my rent was already paid early I asked her if I needed to come to the office she said no I need your tag model and make so your car will not be towed. Asked if I would please wait a couple days for the residence to be clearly out of the apartment before you park there I said OK. I have been parking there for six weeks and a new nosy resident notices my car gone for a week when I was in training for a job out of town and they rented her my spot. I have been waiting five days for a resolution and today after calling again, I am told that I was supposed to come to the office to get a tag which I was never told and to make sure it was added the online rent portal.. Why would I park in that spot and risk my car being towed for six weeks and then lied too that it would be towed if it was not registered. That was an outright lie no towing and definitely not told to pick up a tag. I am longest lease holder in my entire building and have been through a lot of management changes and witnessed reasons of other people leaving the breakers apartments for many reasons. The only improvement is the maintenance staff.
