Overall 3/5: Good coffee, okay food, could be better service. Coffee 4/5: I had lavender latte. Not too sweet, it was just the right amount. Love lattes. Food 3/5: I had the banging shrimp which was okay. Not good shrimp, the sauce was really tangy. The fries were really good though. My friend had the tacos which she said were really dry. They were okay. Service 3/5: Not friendly. The lady up front was not wanting to talk to anyone is seemed. She was not welcoming and very blunt. Ambiance 4/5: It was really cute inside, and that's what drew us to it. But service definitely needed to be up to par with the energy and vibes inside.

Fabulous ambience, very creative island-centric vibes menu for drinks. Flavors were great - though for my frequent traveling, exploring new coffee shops being my most consistent venture, I will say these are among some of the most expensive brews I've come across, at least relative to size. Staff seemed all on different pages. I noted differences they were having in running operations. One barista sat reading her book while I asked 3x to place my order. I work in a cafe from time to time, so I know it could've just been a "SHE'S on the register, I'M only doing drinks today"... but still, when a guest is standing right in front of you with no other employee, obviously speaking to/repeating themself to you, if you absolutely truly cannot assist them, at the very least say, "Sorry, I don't know how to [XYZ]."

We visited this coffee shop every day while we stayed at The Palms and it was absolutely delicious every time. They are using top-notch coffee, super fresh and high quality. This a must try if you're staying on the property or you're in the area. The only feedback I have is I wish it was open till about 6-7pm instead of closing at 3pm everyday. My fav drink was the Cinnamon Frenchie and the Salted Coconut.

This is a coffee only kind of place. Coffee is great, easy to find location, lots of option you would want from a typical coffee shop! I did ask the barista if all pastries were made fresh in house. She responded yes, they were all made yesterday. I asked for a coffee cake and she proceeded to hand me a coffee cake, in a package, from the freezer. I asked her to kindly remove the cake from my tab as it was clearly not fresh. If you are looking for fresh breakfast pastries I would not shop here. I ordered a cold brew with coconut milk and lavender! 7.8/10

Awesome place to get a fresh coffee, latte or tea, plus many other things. We vacation here and one of the best treats is my early morning caramel latte. Whether you are local or on vacay this is an awesome spot to get your caffeine fix. The staff are very polite and always work hard to make your order perfect. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing coffee! I got the Palms and it was delicious.

Horrible!! 0/5 stars!! Save your money and go elsewhere! The coffee was the worst I've ever had and the service was unfriendly.

Drink was delicious, but pricey. $9 coffee worth it to not have to leave the resort though

The only thing that threw me off when I went to the place is that it's inside a resort you have to go into the hotel.

We stayed at our friend's Airbnb nearby and I ended up coming to Causeway Coffee probably 2-3 times…read moreduring our trip since I was also working out at the Gold's Gym basically next door. I'm so glad I found this place! It was really easy to find and had plenty of parking. The coffee shop is on the second floor, and you can either take the elevator or go up the spiral staircase. Inside, it's beautiful, spacious, and just has a really relaxing atmosphere. There's also a wraparound porch with outdoor seating. It doesn't necessarily overlook anything exciting, but it was still such a peaceful place to sit, and I could definitely see myself bringing my laptop and working here for a few hours. The staff was SO friendly every time I went. On Thursday morning there was a pretty long line, but they had several people working behind the counter and moved through it incredibly fast. Our drinks came out quickly too. I ordered iced lattes and really enjoyed them, but THE CROISSANT. I am a croissant person, and this was genuinely one of the best croissants I've ever had. Thick, buttery, soft, delicious bread and not even remotely dry. My kids loved them too, and I appreciated that each one came packaged in its own little container instead of just being thrown into a bag. They were also playing worship music every time I was there -- Abbie Gamboa and SEU and several artists I already love which made me enjoy the atmosphere even more. I also noticed when ordering at the tablet that they give you an option to donate to a local family in need, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. Great coffee, ridiculously good croissants, kind staff, quick service, lots of space and a really welcoming atmosphere. Causeway was easily one of my favorite finds of the trip, and I will absolutely be back when I am in the area this November!

My family and I went here for ice cream after having lunch at the City Food Hall. They had a good variety of flavors for both ice cream and gelato. My wife and my son got their favorite choice of gelato flavors. I went with Blood Orange and Mango sorbetto flavors. Their gelato and sorbetto are homemade. Their ice cream is provided by Blue Bell. The gelato and sorbetto flavors were good. I liked my choice of Blood Orange. It was refreshing and delicious. The Mango flavor was good as well. We had a good experience here. The service was nice and friendly. The shop was clean and inviting. I would go back here if I am in Destin again. Definitely check them out if you haven't before.
