I just had my daughter's wedding here since she liked the river view & it was convenient to both families. When they took our deposit last August, they were sweet as pie, & promised the dance floor would be replaced, the carpet was being replaced, & very rusted fence surrounding the small yard where the ceremony would be would be repainted. They also stated they were renovating the bridal suite room, included with the fee. I told them clearly that the ceremony was on site & it was critical the fence be repainted. "No problem". Come spring, I find out they double booked our date, & I had to produce my deposit check to confirm we still had the date. Some other poor people were out of luck 10 wks before the event. Our concerns were mounting 6 wks before the June 9th wedding with the promised work not done. When I pressed the issue, we are now told they were not replacing the carpet or the dance floor, & "we will try" to repaint the severely rusted fence my daughter would be standing in front of saying her vows. Also, by the way, the bridal suite is a 400-600 extra, that was to be included. All this with no apology, & a take or leave attitude knowing we were too close to the wedding to change venues. Our excellent, veteran caterer, Bocio catering, then proceeded to have needless issues with the uncooperative & sometimes rude venue staff. In the end, the bathrooms, were not properly cleaned on wedding day, but the fence actually got (mostly) painted just 1 day before the wedding, which was better than nothing. Fortunately, the weather was fantastic & every other facet of the wedding from Bocio catering, photographer, video, flowers, DJ, the reception itself went of perfectly. All the other vendors are getting 5 star reviews. I would give Palmyra Harbour a 1/2 star if I could.
