There are lots of tables. The sound level ideal as it was pleasant and yet we could have a conversation without feeling conspicuous. The sandwiches were delicious. I swapped half my roasted vegetable sandwich with my wife who had a turkey with avocado sandwich. They were both very good. One thing was that the bottom of mine was soggy but that happens. The turkey sandwich bun was not at all soggy. We enjoyed our drinks and sitting and watching the people go by. The staff were friendly and helpful. You wait for drinks at the counter but they bring food orders to your table. That's a great way to to it as it doesn't take nearly as long to make drinks as it does food. We were walking so I can't comment on parking. I'm sure they have WiFi but I didn't check. I highly recommend Coffee Matters because they've got what I like.

Locally sourced foods = different menus all the time. Last night, a citrus-y carrot salad with raisins/goat cheese/pumpkin seeds, scallop crudo with salted gooseberries and chili oil, buttered turnips with braised pork, fried chicken with a house made hot sauce, and finally, a squash risotto. The date sponge cake with caramel mousse,bourbon pear and burnt caramel for dessert (split between the group) was a perfect end to the evening. In all of this, the only flaw was the lack of an espresso machine to cap off a beautiful meal. Flavours on all items were well balanced, complex and really enjoyable, the portion sizes were exactly what they should be. A wonderful addition to the St. John's foodie scene that I truly hope keeps going. Will definitely be going back, and hope others will do the same. My husband and I love fish cakes so we had to give them a try. They were cod fish cakes, baked just like the window said.
