Had a major blockage in our single bathroom/bathtub. We were so nervous to need to call an outside plumber during this difficult time. We called Ariel services and they arrived within an hour. At first it looked like coffee grounds and now it's all black. Our building was insisting we pay to get it fixed because it's a problem in our apartment. I explained the issue to Jerry at CID and that we never put coffee grounds or anything like that down the drain, who was able to tell me over the phone that he was completely certain the issue was not coming from our apartment since we have fully stopped using the sink and dishwasher since this started and it continues to fill with more liquid. There's more I could explain but that's the basics. Anyway Jerry was so nice, offered to get someone there by 8pm (I had called at 4pm so that was amazing) and it would be a flat fee to snake the drain and was very up front about what it would be which was very transparent. He suggested I talk to building management as this was not an issue of something we did wrong that normally it's something they would pay for. I did and they are sending someone out to inspect all the apartments in our line tomorrow. I don't think they will let us use CID if they are going to pay for it (which we sincerely hope they will) but despite that Jerry was incredibly nice and even gave me specific tips to tell the building management to make sure their plumber did the best job possible. Thank you Jerry for probably saving us a lot of money! Please go give these guys business, if we could we would!

The technicians were professional and polite and the work seems to have been done satisfactorily. However, I spoke with others in my complex and they paid about 50% less for the same repair when using another plumbing company. After I heard this from my neighbor, I did contact other plumbing contractors in the area and asked for estimates, and sure enough, the quotes were at least 50% less than what I was charged by Flotechs. While I am all for paying a fair price for work well done, the technicians spent less than 1 hour working in our unit and what I was charged was way above market price. My bad for not checking around prior to contracting them, however they charged me way over what this work would have cost with another contractor.
