Parkset has done four jobs for me. But the last was a real disappointment. After paying $2,100 for a new water heater, the hot water was milky, particularly in the tenants' faucet. Parkset priced a fix, a pressure reducer, at $950. The manufacturer told me my pressure was fine and it sounded like air in pipes, a common occurrence after installation. Parkset's worker did a lazy job: emptied the heater and turned on a few faucets. When that did not work, he said I needed a mixer valve replacement on the worst faucet. Then Parkset ghosted my repeated requests for an actual bleeding of the system, or even a price for a mixer valve. read more

When we bought the 19th century townhouse in Brooklyn plumbing was the main issue. The boiler looked like it would explode at any moment, there was a weird second water heater kind-of hooked in, the sewer cleanout was all wrong, there were multiple fire dangers in the way things were vented to the chimney, and all showers/tubs had various issues. Parkset came in with a very reasonable bid. The work was done quickly, with great quality and communication. It was such a good experience, I called them back for a couple more projects. read more

Last Summer when one of my tenants moved out, I noticed a leak outside the shower floor. I called Parkset because they are the go-to plumbers for my Condo building. The plumber who came over told me it would require the shower walls to be opened as they were unable to identify the source of the leak. I had several companies come out to run the shower to replicate the leak. On the very last visit from Parkset, their plumber was able to point the shower spray directly at one of the screwholes for the shower door track and we saw water spewing out. I subsequently called the shower door company to re-silicone the track. Fast forward to March 2024, I am reviewing my maintenance charges and notice that Parkset charged me $ 816.56 that was tacked onto my common charge bill back in August noted as: 7/10/23 answered for leak. When I called Parkset asking for a copy of the bill, they sent me a bill stating: answered call for leak going onto floor. Made SEVERAL trips to locate leak. Found leak due to shower doors. Owner will rectify problem. When I called Parkset to request the dates of the 3 visits, I was transferred to Ronnie who proceeds to attack my character and accuse me of not wanting to pay the bill. He says that of course I remember all the calls I have made and how dare I be questioning the charges. Thanks to my management company that embedded this charge into my maintenance bill and shame on me for not catching it sooner, the bill has already been paid. I found out that Parkset does service calls to my buildng and never presents paperwork for sign off. I truly can't recall the 3 times that I may have called Parkset since I also contacted two other plumbers. It is also a rental property and not my primary residence. To be accused for something when all I'm requesting are dates of service that he can't provide for some reason... shady beyond belief. Also, if on their first two visits they couldn't diagnose the problem, I'm not even sure that I should be charged for the previous two visits ( if there were indeed a total of 3 ) when the issue was the same all along and their plumbers were just unable to point the sprayer towards the shower door track and find the source. Bottom line, I don't understand why I had to be attacked because they sent a bill claiming "SEVERAL" visits and can't provide me with the actual dates of service. Needless to say, I will not be recommending them to any of my building residents in the future. read more

Expensive and Unethical! We were taking out a bathtub in our apt in Brooklyn which required a permit and a fully licensed plumber. The company required 50%deposit before starting the project. They sent a guy to check for asbestos and then applied for the license with the DOB. We then found out that to take the tub out the building required architectural drawings which added more expenses to the project so we decided to cancel. When contacted the owner charged us $2000 for what was done and initially refused to itemize the bill. Then he relented lowered his fee to $500 and sent the bill for the 2 contractors (one to check the asbestos, and one to do the DOB licensing) which amounted to about$1000. So to hire the subcontractors we paid $500! Not a nice man! read more

This guy is a tiger, a bear, an angel?! Picture this: water is spewing into our basement, geyser style, through our shared neighbor-wall from their basement into ours. What's in the water is anyone's guess. This goes on for days, weeks, a month now. We are in tense negotiations with our neighbors. Our basement wall is turning in the Gaza Strip. Calls to DEP ensue, stress is mounting. Tom waltzes in, calls our neighbor sweetie and with in an hour our neighbors call to apologize! They have a clear action plan to resolve their leak. I know that COVID had made it difficult for most businesses to stay afloat. No pun intended but I thought Parkset plumbing would be my go to company for me and my neighbors needs but this business have a very rude and very unprofessional individual answering the phone and keeping someone on hold for long periods of time or disconnecting the call I don't and won't beg anyone to take my hard earned money during these over price and hard times. Park at not only have you lost two customers you lost many more because when it comes to suggesting a company I will warn them they are not reliable professional or trustworthy . If someone told me they were going to use Parkset Plumbing - I'd say run. I live in a condo building and needed the gas turned on in my recently purchased apartment. The building had set up for Parkset to test the gas so that National Grid can come turn it on. One company originally quoted me $400, but I had to use the company the building picked. So, they came, were in my apartment for 30 seconds, and slapped me with a $3000 bill. When I called to asked for the bill itemized because there were several tests listed - even though I just needed the one and the cost seemed exorbitant - I was told "this isn't Macy's I'm not itemizing anything, everyone pays this, welcome to home ownership." Although the word "told" is putting it lightly, since I was really getting yelled at even though I did not raise my voice once. I am never a person who doesn't pay a bill or acknowledge someone for their work and pay them for it, but the $3000 seemed a bit much and I just wanted to know what I was paying for and if it was correct, since Tom also said at one point "maybe we put another apartment's test on your bill." But when I called him a second time he had no recollection of saying that. Now, I'm stuck with this bill and a really bad taste in my mouth after getting yelled at and belittled by Tom. read more

They were quick to set up a visit and to do the work, and at a reasonable price (half what a leading competitor quoted). Everything was done quickly and well. I had a leak in my plumbing right after the water main shutoff valve in the house, and as fate would have it the leak got worse right after a big snowstorm. I called no less than 5 plumbers and even when I finally got the attention of one of them they "scheduled me" 3 times and never showed up any of those times. Then I called Parkset. Tom diagnosed the problem and a few hours later dispatched a team, which was Ray and Junior. They spent a considerable amount of time with the fitting, and eventually got it repaired. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM! Worst company ever! I called them on Wednesday knowing they have good reputation on yelp for a service call at my juice bar. The 3 compartment sink in the kitchen was leaking and needed to be fixed and I also had a problem with the cold water. They charged me $212 for claiming they fixed problems in the same day but yesterday the same sink started leaking again and we still have the same problem with the cold water. I called them for a call back, the same guy showed up again and said I need to pay another $212 to fix the same problem that he already fixed!!! Outrageous service I wouldn't recommend nobody to work with this company scam scam scam! **************************************** In response to your comment you never stated that the pipes are not working properly you just came and replaced something that should've been replaced and could be sealed easily! when I called you guys back to take a look at what you guys did you told me that I need to pay you another $195 to replace another item that wasn't needed to be replaced! UPDATE: after seeing the below review, the owner called me and tried to bully me into taking it down. Fun fact #1: mold concerns were never brought up until the owner called me trying to rationalize why his team wouldn't do the work. If there were mold concerns, then they should have communicated that there were mold concerns -- instead they said they had asbestos and lead concerns (in a building that's less than 10 years old). Sounds like he was fishing for an excuse. Fun fact #2: Bullying people is the behavior of a coward. I stand by my original review. 100% Issue: I have a leak originating somewhere under my tub/shower that drips onto the downstairs neighbor's bathroom ceiling anytime we run a bath. It was "fixed" by another plumber a month ago, but now the issue is back and worse than ever. I called ParkSet to diagnose/fix the issue based on the reviews I saw here. They get one star because they actually showed up (and because I can't go lower than one star). They lose 4 stars because: 1) when they originally showed up [a week ago] the plumber said he hadn't been told that he would need to open up the ceiling in the downstairs neighbor's apartment, and so he didn't have the tools necessary. Instead of going to get those tools [which he clearly needs to do his job], he insisted I reschedule. I did reschedule and waited another week. 2) when the rescheduled appointment happened today, a new set of guys showed up. My downstairs neighbor said they seemed pissed that the last guys didn't open up the ceiling and they said the first crew just left it for him to do. My neighbor says (and i quote) "It seemed like he just didn't want to do the work." Then the new plumber got on the phone with me and said he doesn't have the tools necessary to open the ceiling. Sounds suspicious and lazy and super unprofessional. I asked him to go get the tools needed and come back because i'm not rescheduling a third time. Do these people not communicate with each other!? THEN I asked the plumber to have his supervisor call me. 3) A guy named Ronny called (his supervisor? I dunno) and said flat out that he refuses to have his guys open the ceiling because there's a baby in the apartment. I asked for more clarity on why -- dust? noise? He said because of possible lead and asbestos issues and he refuses to be liable for that. I explained that this isn't an old building; in fact, the entire complex was built less than 10 years ago. He was quiet for a second, admitted that there would not be lead or asbestos issues, but STILL refused to open the ceiling to diagnose the problem. What the actual f*ck. 4) as a possible alternative, the plumbers said they could remove the side panel of the tub and try to see if they can see any issues. I agreed. Then they called back AGAIN saying they can't remove the side panel because there's a rusty screw. Are you kidding me? I'm no expert, but even I know there are ways to remove rusty screws. But I guess that was also too much work for them because they just left without doing a damn thing. How are these people even in business?! It's mind boggling to me. STAY AWAYYYYYY. read more

We just did an oil to gas conversion with Parkset and it was a great job. We did it from scratch which means I had to get National grid to run a gas line from the street to our house (that experience which is ongoing and nothing to do with Parkset is horrendous) Tom and Afrodite did a wonderful job answering all our questions and after everything was done they even called us to make sure that National grid did their part. There was a crack in the sewer pipe. It never came to be an issue until the drain was clogged and smelly water started to appear. I called around only to get the answer that nothing was available "until next week". This, until I got in touch with Gladstone at Parkset Plumbing. Not only was he available, he showed up when I was told he should, all the time. He came and made an estimate, cost and time. He and his guys showed up the next morning on time. In a few hours, the leak was fixed. He, not only, fixed the leak, he corrected a plumbing error made many years ago which had prevented a correct cleanout of the sewer system. The next day, again at the time I was told they were going to show up. I will keep their phone number on file and, if I ever get any plumbing issues again, I will give them a call. Parkset was the third plumbing company I called to help me fix a leaking sink at my place of business. The other two companies came in, looked at the job, charged me $100-$200, told me to go get a new sink, and walked out the front door. I called Parkset via a random google search and they had someone at my shop at 9am. They couldn't fix it on the spot but they told me what to do and what to get (as far as the new sink and fixture). The plumber even looked at pictures I sent him of sinks my local hardware store had in stock and gave me a yes or no on what would work. Parkset came back the next day and although the plumber who showed up this time first tried to say he couldn't do what needed to be done, the office called me within minutes and assured me they would get the job done (which required deconstruction of a custom made sink and removal of all the junk that wasn't working after ten years). I said I have a problem, and I needed it fixed, no matter what that means. They said they understood and would handle it. They told me they couldn't promise that they wouldn't have to cut the sink up into pieces (it was wood) but they managed to save the sink per my request and were done in an hour or two. They left the space in good working order and clean. I can't speak to the price (if it was high or low, we paid $800), but we were in crisis mode and I couldn't get anyone else to do the job. I am thoroughly please with their work ESPECIALLY with the admin and office side of things. I have called fixers so many times to make an appointment and they never even show up! Or they show up and do crappy work. The new sink works perfectly and I am very happy with the results. I would use Parkset again any time. read more
