I was thinking of getting a personal size pizza this evening and I was craving Mushrooms, so I ordered from the Parlor which is related to Gino's Pizza Parlor in Roslyn. The order came within 20 minutes of ordering. The pizzetta was well done and held up the toppings very well. Was it the best I've ever had, no, I've had better Truffle/Mushroom pies at places like Diamond Slice and L'Industrie. But let me emphasize that the pizza was not bad at all, I felt that those pizzerias did it a bit better and their ingredients felt more balanced. Most importantly, is this pizzeria a travel worthy place to travel long distances to get to; no. But it is well placed for this area of Queens and there are ton of options to order from on the menu that I would have liked more. If they had the clam pie and had it at this size, I'd prefer it more. And if my gastritis would go away please, their regular looks good like the location in Roslyn. To conclude, the Parlor is a good neighborhood pizzeria that has good credentials and good food and you won't go wrong with either ordering out or dining in. read more

I've read about how good Parlor was so being in the area, I knew I had to give it a try. The pizza counter had lots of options to choose from. The mushroom thin square slice, was heavenly. No sauce, but garlicky, with large slices of mushrooms and mozzarella. The crust was so good. The Drunken Grandma with pepperoni; creamy vodka sauce, mozzarella and little cup pepperoni made for a truly scrumptious bite. Eggplant Rollatini slice was excellent and reminded me of Grandma's homemade baked eggplant. Chicken, Bacon Ranch slice included hearty pieces of bacon and chicken and while the flavor was good, it was on the dry side. I'd happily return to Parlor for some more pizza. read more

Whenever I'm in the mood for pasta this is my to go place. I love their penne alla vodka, chicken cutlets and Parlor salad. All of these dishes are made to perfection, the Italian salad dressing is to die for. I have never actually ate at the restaurant. I usually do delivery or take out. The girl who answers the phone it's really pleasant and always in a good mood. It's a pleasure to deal with her. I have tried their regular pizza and I wasn't impressed. Love love love this place. It was totally a coincidence, but I was invited to 2 back to back weekend party at this place. Saturday, we came here for a 3yo pizza making party and the kids had so much fun making their own pizza. The restaurant cooked all the kids pizza, boxed them up, let all the kids decorate the pizza boxes and we all were able to take them home. Kids had a blast and it was such a unique experience. The adults got a taste of the "bomb" pizza which has sausage, pepperoni, and hot sauce drizzle. My favorite was the truffle mushroom pizza and the burrata pizza was delicious. Sunday, we went to a small intimate surprise baby shower. Again, it was so much fun. We got to try their calamari, caprese salad, Cesar salad, chicken francese, penne ala vodka and more pizza. 4.25 Updating this review because I did actually dine in this time, and the food was good. I'm not going to be ordering pizza, but the other food is fantastic. We got the calamari al fuoco, the grilled skirt steak, and the meat lasagna. I know this place is Italian, but they really do know how to make steak. It's seasoned nicely, and you get that smoky, grilled flavor. My only wish is that next time they don't cut it all up. They gave us a steak knife, so let us cut it ourselves. The meat lasagna is a nice size, and I love how you can see shreds of beef, unlike other places where they use ground beef. The server was also a doll. Service was good, calamari was crispy and crunchy. I ordered a veal parm but got a chicken parm. Didn't bother changing it. Got the squid ink pasta but it was undercooked. Was mushy. It's finally here! After Parkway Pizza closed, it left a pizza void next to Utopia Bagels. Fear not, after many months of renovation, The Parlor has risen from the ashes of Mezze/Nakita's/Parkway Pizza and has opened its doors on 10/15/24. Ariana was our server and she explained there's a temporary menu during this initial launch. The menu features delicious pizza, pasta, heros, wraps, and paninis. The standard slice of pizza is excellent and they have fancier slices with ingredients like truffle oil, burrata cheese, and hot honey. We picked up dinner (and lunch) from here the other night, and really enjoyed everything we tried. Pick up was easy and the staff was really friendly, and the place seemed like a really nice establishment to sit down for a meal--but we did takeout. We ordered some specialty slices and the Chicken Parm Ala Vodka Hero. The hero was great. The bread was soft, it was sauced up, and it had fresh mozzarella on it. I really enjoyed it. The slices we got were the BBQ Chicken, the Artichoke, and the Eggplant Ricotta. All of them were generously sized with their toppings. My favorite was the eggplant, but they were all good. Avoid. Tried them twice. The same bad experience both times. First time, I ordered a regular slice and a sicilian. When I sat to eat, the sicilian slice was cold. I asked them to reheat. Taste was ok. Regular slice was horrible. Stale and like rubber. On my recent 2nd visit, same order. I asked them to make it hot. Again, Sicilian slice was cold and this time the regular slice burnt black and bland tasting. I didn't even bother to correct it. Also ridiculous price of NINE DOLLARS, two slices, no drink. Very surprised by the 4 and 5 star reviews. This place seemed more concerned with the hipster, trendy vibe and decor then proper service and quality food. Arrived at 5:30 on a Friday night. Place was busy. We sat outside where it was quieter. 3 of us. Loved our server. He was VERY attentive. Appetizer fried calamari. Ordered the Shrimp Oregano w a side of Penne in garlic oil. OMG sooo good. Momma ordered the chicken Marsala. She was pleased. Hunny ordered chicken parm. Side Caesar salad. We were all pleased that the food wasn't overly salty as we're all watching our sodium. So right there that was a huge plus. Portions were very generous and were all having dinner the next 2 nights. (Yeah it all depends on how much you eat in a sitting and for us, this was just great). Food was fresh, focaccia bread was warmed. Two other employees came to speak to us just to make sure everything was as we expected. All we could say was everything was perfect. Oh and we had no room for dessert but took a cannoli 'to go'. I ordered their rice balls, grilled chicken Caesar salad and my husband got the Cobb salad with chicken cutlet. The rice ball were pretty good, the chicken Caesar was decent but the lettuce was cut up too finely, imo- and the Cobb salad was meh, the salad itself was pretty good but i def don't recommend the chicken cutlet/crispy chicken. We called and picked it up for takeout but live less than ten mins away and ate it immediately so it's not like it sat for long, at all. If you can't fry a chicken cutlet well, can you be a great Italian joint? I would try the pizza next time. I'd like to give 3.5 stars but that's not an option, 4 stars is generous for this place. They have amazing pizza slices. They have regular slices and they have creative slices with tons of different topping. Just tried "the bomb"and it was amazing. Bacon, sauce, meat, cheese, juicy!!! This place rocks. 'The Bomb' slice (Sicilian), and the pizzetta version both live up to the name, they're totally the bomb!! This is the description of the pizzetta version: "The Bomb" Pizzetta $14.95 Sauce, cheese, crispy bacon, pepperoni cups, sweet hot chili. I would be remiss in adding that I don't generally love pepperoni on pizza, because I don't like the grease it weeps onto a slice or a pie. There's no such concern here -- just crispy, quality pepperoni, delicious bacon, and the chili glaze as sweet counterpoint to the other ingredients, culminating in a delicious, balanced slice. I'd asked my sister if she knew of any pizza places to try in the area -- Bayside or Whitestone, and despite not having tried this restaurant, she mentioned them. I've ordered from them twice, last month & last night, respectively. I have been in there once with my partner -- last week. We've also had the Stracciatella Bolognese Pizzetta, which I liked, the Burrata Pizzetta, which I LOVED, the vodka chicken roll twice, and the Chicken Alla Vodka Hero. Last week, I also had their pasta fagioli, but didn't love it. (I'm a firm believer that this soup requires ditalini, and this version featured small shells) It wasn't just that, it was missing something -- a little veg, or simmering w/ a parmigiano rind ... I don't know, but it needs tweaking. I *think* this place has been open a scant three months, so I can only imagine that they can improve certain things. They haven't even rolled out their entire menu, as yet, I believe. The Parlor Pizza Kitchen Whitestone has their own website to order from, too ... and while I also use at least three different third party ordering platforms, this is a refreshing change (with fewer fees). Lest I forget, the staff is really friendly and helpful. On the paper menu in store, I didn't see the vodka chicken roll listed, but asked about it, and they prepared a fresh one for me, which was cool (I only asked about whether they had the roll -- I'd never have asked them to make one fresh for me!) All in all, I think I have a new favorite pizzeria!! My partner and I have lived in this area for 3.5 years, and he and I don't always agree on pizza ... but I've been searching for excellent pizza, since moving here from Brooklyn. read more

Went here with my folks for lunch today. The place was very clean, nicely decorated and we were welcomed by Jean who sat us down and took our order. The complimentary bread was delicious, but a man can't live on bread and water alone! My mother tried the Chicken Salerno, which consisted of grilled chicken, broccoli rabe, and cherry peppers. This type of dish is right up my alley and I'd say they hit it out of the park. My father ordered the Chicken Francese. It also was very good, was a big portion, and came with a side of perfectly al dente rigatoni. I wanted to try the pizza, and since it was my first time there, I had to try a plain slice. Looking to also try a specialty slice, I asked the pizzaiolo for a recommendation. What I got was "The Bomb," which is a thick crust Sicilian with bacon, pepperoni, and sweet chili sauce. The regular slice was excellent. A thin crust with zero flop, no oil leaking out of it, and the sauce was perfect. Not too sweet, not too tangy, just right. The Bomb slice was something very unique, and not something I would have ordered on my own, but the combination of flavors was excellent and I would definitely try it again. For desert we shared a pistachio tartufo. My parents had cappuccinos while I had a double espresso. The pistachio tartufo was good. The cappuccino had the perfect ratio of foam, milk, and coffee. The double espresso was 10/10. Overall, the food was great, the portions were generous, the service was exceptional, and everything was reasonably priced. I drive all over Queens for work and this is the best pizza I ever tasted in Queens. I had the Chicken Parm and a Sicilian slice. Both were delicious. both slices had an authentic Italian taste. The Chicken Parm slice had a lot of chicken unlike other places that skimp on the chicken. The restaurant is very clean, the cashier and counter people were very friendly. Stopped in to check out this new addition to the neighborhood, and the decor is the first incredible impression. They did an amazing job combining the two storefronts and creating a lovely place to eat. The service was beyond top notch as well - super friendly and helpful staff! We tried a variety of items from the showcase, including 4 slices and a spinach wheel. The grandma slice was our favorite - even if it was a little floppy - as it had delicious flavor. Buffalo chicken was a close second! The spinach wheel was a bit moist for my liking, but was served with warmed marinara which was a nice tough. The margherita and plain slices were a bit underwhelming - the crust was a bit burned and too crispy - making it impossible to fold the slice without it cracking in multiple directions, and having a burned flavor, and not in a good way like can often be the case with pizza. All in all though, I will be back once the kitchen is up and running to try some other items on the menu and look forward to updating this review once the grand opening kinks are worked out. read more

This is the second timing ordering pizza for takeout and both times the pizza was great. The first pizza was the Drunkin Grandma pie and the second was a regular cheese pie. Pizza was ready for pickup in less time than the 25 minutes which was told it would be ready. Best to get there for pickup earlier than the 25 minutes if you want your pizza hot. read more

I would say this place is average. I was hoping they had some great pizza but it was just average. The rice balls were good with the short rib but that also makes them very expensive. They have a lot of special pies. I ordered 3 pies and the sauce and texture was nothing special. Took 30 min so that's good timing for 3 pies and apps. Me and my husband always come here and have great pizza and awesome experience and this is the first time in where I was very disappointed. The person in front taking to go orders, is very unprofessional. Playing around with the spatula and putting it inside of the pizza box in where ultimately our pizza slices was going to go in is very unsanitary. Not just a pizza place! Had good (nice crispy crust, tasty sauce & mozzarella) pizza slices here shortly after they opened. Made a note to return for a meal. Nice (not fussy) cozy dining area, brand new modern space an enclosed outdoor dining area. We were 3 adults, 1 toddler and a bigger kid. Had the Caesar salad, personal Margherita pie and fried calmari as appetizers, the main courses were chicken parmigiana, from the specials of day fillet of sole w/shrimp & scallops, and double pork chops w/sauteed veggies, brocoli rabe with spaghetti on the side.
