I have been to this location twice recently. Twice I have ordered the same salad, the parm crunch, and each time it has been great. I find the salad prep section areas to be neatly maintained. I do wish that when they are mixing up your salad and putting it back in the bowl that they would slow down a bit because each time a good amount of food has ended up spilling out on the counter and not making it into the bowl. Today when I went, the bread for one of the three salads I ordered was burnt. I asked for a different bread and they accommodated me, however they put the burnt bread that was touching my salad back into the bread section. I think this could cause issues potentially if anyone were to get that piece of bread and were allergic or had a food intolerance to any of the items in my salad. I prefer the pineapple lemonade over the strawberry lemonade. I would prefer being able to have the ability to put a cap myself on my drink instead of having to carry the drink back to the counter to have it sealed and then given back to me. There are a good amount of seating areas and there are also seating areas outside. I found the service to be reasonably timed each time I have gone. Wish the parm crunch salad could be a staple salad instead of just a seasonal offer. I look forward to returning back sometime soon. read more

Came here based on a friends recommendation. Located at bay Terrance. Plenty of parking versus the forest hills location. Got the Thai chicken medium dressing. Place was clean and service was fast. So update: not sure what happened but I left here and got home with the worst stomach ache. Maybe it's a combo of the salad and the pineapple lemonade? I prefer little lighter on the dressing so next time I'll get it on side but this might be a good go to when I'm craving a salad! read more

Passed by on a Monday, early evening. Very clean inside and modern, open and airy space with indoor and some outdoor seating right in front. Located in the Bay Terrace shopping center, main level by the stairs leading to the top level. They have salads, bowls, wraps, and juices and healthy treats and chips. I went with the Tokyo supergreens salad with sesame tofu and aji sauce instead of the miso vinaigrette it comes with. Portion size is on point and very tasty. This salad included mixed greens, big leafy greens I'll say, carrots, almonds, broccoli, a whole half side of an avocado, and edamame, and a piece of bread. The only con is the avocado was left whole instead of being mixed in with everything, which made it interesting to try to eat with a fork. Salad came to just over $14 with tax. Service was good, quick and efficient. All their items are environmentally friendly, down to the utensils, bowls, and napkins. Definitely coming back to try more. read more

11/8/2025 I tried the Just Salad in Bayside, and it tasted just as amazing as the one I had in Garden City! The restaurant was nice, clean, and bright -- I loved the wall art and welcoming vibe. One thing I really appreciate is that they ask how you want your dressing: light, medium, or heavy. Of course, I said heavy, because that Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette is so lovely! I honestly can't imagine a salad without it -- I'm officially in love with this bowl. My only concern was the meat toppings being kept in tin holders -- it made me wonder how long they'd been sitting there. Hopefully it's a quick turnover and everything is freshly prepped, because food safety is important. As someone with allergies, I'm extra mindful about what I eat and where I eat. Next time, I'll go meat-free and make my protein at home, but I'll definitely be back for that fresh, flavorful salad. This was my first time dining inside (the other times I ordered delivery to work), and it reminded me how important it is to visit the places that make our food. Bon appétit! read more

Very happy about the dining options here at Bay Terrace with more eateries coming here. Was here with Anna H. for lunch. Ordered a wrap online and selected a pick-up time. The restaurant is large and has ample chairs and tables for guest to sit and dine. The Tex-Mex wrap was really good and filling. Wrap was filled with romaine lettuce, cilantro, regenerative brown rice, avocado, Corn, Chicken, Cheese with a Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette (Homemade) on the side. The only one thing was they did not provide napkins or utensils after I checked off the desire for them when I placed order online. Had to ask staff for napkins and utensils. Staff was friendly and checked on customers. Placing an order via their website was pretty easy with lots of options. You can pick what you like when making your own wrap or selecting one of theirs and modify it if you so desire. Will definitely be back to try other items on Just Salad menu. read more

This was my first time at this location - I've been to the Manhattan one, pre-covid and it was good. I found this one on their website and decided to try it as it is only a 12-minute drive away. The salads were good - items seemed fresh. I pre-ordered it online in the morning for a late afternoon pick up. When I arrived, it was not on the pick up shelf. I asked the people behind the counter and they had not started on on my order yet. So I had to wait - which defeats the prupose of pre-ordering. They finished my order fairly quickly and got it to me. Maybe it's me, but I noticed that their "large" soup is now what was once a "small"? I'll try them again, and order closer to the pick up time next time and see what happens. read more

I am so glad to see Bay Terrace gaining life and soul again after numerous store shutdowns sucking the life out of the plaza. This place is one of the new installations that is positively uplifting the strip. I am one for healthier food options, so to see a salad bar was a refreshing sight! And man is it tasty. This is my second time going within the same week. I've tried the iconic poblano chicken salad and thai chili crunch salad (might have butchered the names) and I've enjoyed both (The poblano is much more filling!). The staff has been nothing but kind both times, and give a good amount of protein in the salad. You can get an iconic or classic salad, or make your own! Flavors are delicious, and there's also warm bowls and wraps! The smoothies are yummy as well! I personally like detox smoothies, and theres are one of my favorite. I like to add some protein in there to meet my goals for the day. All in all, I am happy to see this franchise here and hope it stays! Was excited to try out this new addition to the neighborhood and I was definitely not disappointed! The staff was so warm and welcoming as we entered, offering to walk us through the process of ordering, and they did a nice job designing the location with plenty of seating. I actually wanted a digital only option, so we ordered from our phones and it took around 15 minutes for it to be prepared, so keep that in mind. Don't order from this place for delivery. I ordered two market bowls at 3pm and it still said preparing order an hour and a half later. They are obviously ignoring the delivery orders when you could order in store and get the food within 5 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous and horribly unprofessional. Sadly disappointed with the food here. We stopped by for the 1st time last night. The person who helped us was excellent. I got the pick 2. Decided to get the buffalo chicken salad and a strawberry smoothie. The smoothie was great. The salad was bland. The chicken looked like it was sitting there for a few hours. Then it tastes pretty dry. Could not eat this salad. Figured since it's their buffalo salad it would have a kick of flavor or something. My friend picked up some kale soup. She spit it out. She also picked up the chicken tzatziki plate. Yeah we didn't like that much at all. I do love they seem to try and stay away from plastic. My straw for the smoothie was this awesome bamboo straw. There are currently around 14 eateries in The Bay Terrace Shopping Center. I've eaten in around a dozen of them. Just Salad is my current #1 choice in the area. It is on the 26th Ave. side of the Lower Level of Bay Terrace. Visually, it is very upbeat, the walls are painted in lively colors. One wall has a huge panoramic view of the area. It is bright & cheerful. Accustics are a different story. As soon as you enter, you hear the woosh of the air curtain above the door. The floors are ceramic tile & the ceiling appears to be concrete. One wall is perfectly flat & the front is a large slab of glass. All of those surfaces reflect sound. There is music playing on loudspeakers & the expected sounds of workers preparing food behind the counter. In total, it is loud, it does not have the calm, silent atmosphere I would prefer in a dining area. It makes conversation difficult. There is a pleasant, outdoor, eating area in front of the store, unfortunately, it has amazingly uncomfortable chairs. The two bathrooms are both large, well lit, amazingly clean, well-maintained, & odor-free. ON THE VERY POSITIVE SIDE, THE FOOD IS GREAT! It is based primarily on vegetables, with a modest touch of chicken & shrimp to provide protein. Salads & wraps can be made to your specifications, & the preparers do so with a smile on their faces. Just Salad starts with a perspective of what's healthy, & they make it easy to eat. They also have soup. Prices are what passes for reasonable nowadays. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! read more

Took part of their $5 promotion for community workers. I ordered a kids Caesar and the winter harvest bowl. The winter harvest bowl had roasted sweet potato, sliced apples, lentils, roasted chicken, almonds, and hot honey goat cheese. I asked for medium dressing. I didn't taste the almonds nor the hot honey. The flavors all kinda melted together. The Caesar salad was actually better than the winter harvest, as the leaves tasted crispy. I also asked for the kid size bowl in Elmo and I saw the worker use the Cookie Monster bowl instead, he later corrected this. The person who checked me out was really nice and offered utensils and a bag to go. The interior is so clean and bright. Disappointing Portion Size at Bay Terrace Just Salad I visit Just Salad locations regularly, and this franchise is definitely below average. The Bay Terrace (Bayside) team consistently underfills the bowls -- only about three-quarters full -- while other locations serve portions that actually fill the bowl. Also the clean then make your salad bowl without changing gloves! Eww you touched the RAG! I had to ask for a glove change! It's Just Salad -- the whole point is a full, satisfying salad! First, let me say the portions are a decent size. The ingredients were very fresh. My wife had the rap she enjoyed it. I had the thai salad. I enjoyed it. The only thing that could've been a little better was they gave a tiny little cup of dressing not enough for the size of the salad. also, when you first enter, there is no signage. Do you pay first do you go to the back of the counter? There is no direction given and you had to think about it for a minute, but all in all it was a good experience and we will be back read more
