2 for $6 tacos only on Thursdays
    Jacky C.

Came here on a Thursday night to meet up with a friend. I'm not a local around here, so he recommended this spot, which he happens to lives around the block from and visits frequently it appears. The place is in a very interesting location; the main bar is in a garage with plenty of outdoor seating and a fountain to add to the atmosphere. They had this 2 tacos for $6 deal, and after ordering two tacos, I ended up ordering 4 more. They were that good, even from someone who has eaten a ton of them from traveling all over the world. Drinks are pretty standard for the most part. The service is what makes this place amazing. Everyone is super friendly, attentive, and great sense of humor. Would definitely be a spot I'd come back again.

Is there anything better than enjoying a daytime cocktail al fresco? I don't know- but after a long weekend trip and staying in a Yurt, we continued our festivities with only 2 well-made Mimosas before heading home. The neat thing about Partition is that- it's actually an all-in-one type place with enough space than you'd imagine. It was supposed to be an in and out type day, drink our Mimosas and head home- but it was such a chill afternoon with Partition's owner (forgot his name but I wanna call him either Andrew, Michael or Daniel)- who made it worth our while for a good 45 minutes we were there. From street side, Partition's long driveway, leads to the Bar. Opened since June (I think), it has lots of streamlined woods, concrete walls and metal. The patio really looks like an adult playground where you can catch a live band, play some games, hobnob, sip, or just lounge- under the stars. Menu items look good and even though hubby and I weren't there to eat, the fact that the owner took 45 minutes of his busy time to chat with us and beyond friendly- is greatly appreciated. I don't particularly see Partition as romantic but it's actually a cool spot to catch up with your friends or maybe just throw a few back- if that's your thing. Otherwise, enjoy a cocktail or two, light bites and live music- while the good vibes flow.

I love this bar for many reasons... I won't get into all the details here, but will say it's definitely my favorite outdoor patio in Saugerties. Always an upbeat, enjoyable time no matter who I'm with. Great music, decent food, friendly waitstaff- Sahar is the best! From locals to transients, you're missing out if you don't pop in now. Get the Savage Detective if you like mezcal.

Located in the Main Street/Partition Street corridor, there is a cool downtown vibe. Street parking and a Public Lot nearby make for easy access. I got the Egs Benny and it was served with amazing potatoes and a light and tasty salad. Eggs were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Waitress was attentive and accommodating. I also ordered a Bloody Mary and a local craft beer because I could. The Bloody was decent, not mind blowing but still tasty. Oh and I ordered a dozen oysters while I was at it. They were of the small variety but tender, clean and amazing. Prices were reasonable to the area. Definitely will be back. No photos this time, sorry.

Thankfully…read moreit wasn't too annoying to get a reservation and we found the spot to be busy and popular among locals and tourists alike. Walking in we were seated promptly though we immediately noticed that the interior was extremely dark. Not a big deal but worth flagging for older folks who might have a hard time reading. Our server was friendly and relatively attentive and walked us through the menu. We started off with some classics including their bread and butter (which was tasty and delicious) and ordered their P.E.I Mussels ($19) along with their Fried Brussels Sprouts ($15) to share. The portions were quite large for everything (great if you're in a larger party) but we immediately noticed that the mussels they served seemed a bit off. Many of them were not opened all the way (a sign that they might not be the freshest or recently passed) and had a bit of a fishy taste to them. We ended up not finishing them and flagged them to our waiter. The other items, including the 14oz Ribeye ($43) and baby back ribs ($28) were better, though a bit one-note. The bay back ribs in particular were extremely saucy and the corn bread was dry and a bit tough to eat. I had to use a knife to split it apart as it kept crumbling every time I used a fork. Regardless, it seems like a popular spot for a reason and perhaps we just went during more of an off-night. I'd still recommend checking it out but avoiding the mussels if you go.

The focaccia bread that the sandwich was served as and accompanied the magic mushrooms- incredible. Meant to ask if it's baked in house but forgot- but inspired to start baking some!! The Asian wings are probably the best wings I've ever had. At first I was afraid I wouldn't care for them as they seemed to have a strong all spice aroma but the blend of spices is just perfect. Disco fries were very tasty- would definitely go for the black bean chili after tasting it on the disco fries. The mushrooms are a bit heavy on the thyme but delicious. Wish yelp allowed half stars as this would be a solid 4.5 but being they don't giving it a full 5. Oh and great service, comfy relaxing atmosphere.

I saw another review that you could have a wedding here and I agree. The service was nice-- we had two servers-- one sister training the other? I attempted to order a drink twice-- they had neither in stock-- before getting a Diet Coke. The big area of opportunity here is the food. My husband ordered the scallop risotto, which came... wet. It looked like rice swimming in water-- the flavor was similar, unfortunately. The cook on the scallops ranged widely in the dish. I ordered the salmon-- the cook on the salmon was nice but the quinoa was inedible, as were the veggies it was served with. Our meal was late and it felt like the food was held over from earlier preparations. We got the bread pudding, which was fine-- but the proportion of ice cream to pudding ratio was way off. The restaurant has so much potential but the food is the big problem to solve for, in my opinion.

Who knows what the employees have to deal with on a day-to-day basis to result in service this bad. We were extremely disappointed with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff came across as rude and unwelcoming. We asked if we could sit at one of the tables closest to the waterfall, and the response was simply, "Well, it's dirty." Mind you, about 90% of the restaurant was empty. We expected something like, "No problem, give us a moment to clean it off." We're very easygoing and would have completely understood waiting a few minutes. Instead, that interaction set the tone for the rest of the meal. We even pitched in to help the bussing staff. When our waitress finally returned, she immediately said, "Oh, you don't have menus? You forgot them. I know I already gave them to you along with your place settings." Apparently it was a set-your-own-table experience. At that point, it almost felt like we were expected to bring our own service as well. The food quality was underwhelming--We've had better charcuterie on a plane--especially considering the prices. Several ingredients that were listed as part of the dishes were missing. When we asked the busser about it, she said she would check with the kitchen, but she never returned with an answer or any follow-up. Honestly, we would have expected the server to check back regardless, but other than taking our initial order, she never returned to our table, even when we tried to wave her over. So yes no one came back after our food was served to ask how everything was, whether we needed anything, or to address the missing ingredients. Once our order was delivered, we were completely forgotten. Good service means checking on your guests, addressing concerns, and making sure they're enjoying their meal. None of that happened during our visit. When we finally approached the manager, the first response was, "Well, did you eat any of the food?" Yes--we each had a couple of bites of the kale Caesar because we were starving, despite it being served without the advertised pork belly, which was the main ingredient. We had already tried to address our concerns in real time, but no one ever followed up. We're far from people who leave negative reviews. In fact, we think this is only the second bad restaurant review we've ever written. The experience was simply that disappointing. Overall, the combination of rude service, poor management, disappointing food quality, missing ingredients, and a complete lack of follow-through made for an incredibly frustrating dining experience. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant, and we won't be returning. The view is absolutely gorgeous, but you're better off grabbing a sandwich somewhere else and enjoying it from the nearby bridge.

They definitely have the best selection in the Hudson Valley and beyond that... I'm just not sure how far beyond. Instead, I'll raise my glass and enjoy the casual pub atmosphere as well as the food and drink. Armed with some suggestions from well-researched friends, we enjoyed our pours here this evening. Prices feel more like we were drinking in Westchester County than Dutchess, but still okay. The information on their bourbons, scotches, and ryes, could be better, not just a brand name. If you enjoy burgers, you really can't go wrong here with any of the selections on the menu, accompanied by well-prepared and crisp fries. The burgers are cooked exactly to order, and these meals will come out quickly. The fries are perhaps a bit "Can we get you another drink?" salty. Service here is friendly and very casual, and you might get some tastings if you sit at the bar. They have stuff going on many evenings during the week. I'm sure they have reasons, but I'm very surprised at their cash-only policy. At least in my own circles, having plastic as a resource very often increases our likelihood of buying additional rounds of drinks. They do have an ATM in the back near the rest rooms. But in future visits, I'll be perfectly happy to exchange cash for my food and drink.

Life moved on, his b'day came and went and so did the holidays. And just like that, the moment finally arrived. Long overdue, but worth the wait. Now mind you, we have another Italian restaurant we've been to numerous times closer to us in Woodstock- but they don't compare to the rich and hearty food here. Stepping inside here felt cozy and warm especially with all the snow we've been getting in the Catskills. Even the entrance alone has an old-world charm. From the jump, service was on point. My sangria was potent and hubs' Cosmos, held their own too. The caprese salad starter was a small letdown. When our server hyped beefsteak tomatoes, my expectations were set and plum tomatoes showed up instead. Still tasty, but once you promise beefsteak tomatoes, that's what I'm picturing. Despite that, my cod dinner in a garlicky tomato sauce, was everything and hubs loved every bite of his medium rare Delmonico steak. Dessert sealed the deal. When our server mentioned the chocolate mousse, I asked if it was a true chocolate mousse, his confident "yes" was all I needed. And wow- it was decadent. Hubs thought he'd never find a steakhouse worthy like what we used to experience when we lived in Westchester- but he just found his spot up in these boonies.
