1 Star - Unreliable, Unresponsive, and a Complete Mickey Mouse Operation. I've hired from LA Party Staff three times, and after this last experience, I will never use them again. In April 2023, the woman they sent was excellent, professional, proactive, and went above and beyond. I genuinely thought I'd found a reliable company for future events. Then came April 2025, and the experience could not have been more different. The server they sent was a ball of nerves. She constantly talked to herself out loud, appeared overwhelmed, and couldn't manage even the simplest hosting duties. I repeatedly gave her clear instructions to refill drinks, clear plates, and pick up trash, yet she kept sitting down doing nothing. My bartender had to take over her duties just to keep the event from falling apart. It was stressful and deeply unprofessional. Still, I decided to give them one last chance. I reached out in September 2025, a full two months before my next event. Robert handled the booking and everything seemed confirmed. The night before the party, I realized I never received the name of my assigned server. When I reached out, they admitted my booking had "fallen through the cracks." They scrambled to find someone that morning and eventually confirmed a replacement. Five hours later, when the server was supposed to arrive, no one showed up. No text, no call, no email. I tried reaching out multiple times by text, email, and phone, and received no response whatsoever. The next day, I finally got a half-hearted apology claiming they had "worked to find someone after the no-show," but they never even reached out to tell me that in real time. At that point, it was clear this company is not reliable, not organized, and not professional. What was once a promising service has devolved into a complete Mickey Mouse operation. Hire literally anyone else. Your event depends on it. read more

Do NOT hire!!! We just spent thousands hiring there staff for a birthday party and not only were they completely incompetent but the entire experience was a nightmare! When you call they will tell you whatever you want to hear, they will insist you need more staff, however hours before our event is when the emails started coming in about staff members canceling! We hired 7!!! Yet 4 of them cancelled. Per their contract they even send a back up to ensure your event goes smoothly, no back up was sent. They got fill ins for some but ultimately only 6 showed up. We had no server for our event!! They insisted we needed a captain to run things, he did nothing but paper work the entire night to keep track of the other employees and their breaks! 3 bartenders and we had 2 bars- not one drink was shaken, no glasses garnished and one even refused to serve our featured champagne cocktail!! We had hundreds of dollars in desserts go to waste as they completely ignored our food tables and never replenished any of them!! Which is literally why we hired them. We needed up working our own party while they watched!! The captain did at one point cut one of the cakes and literally cut it into chunks and then piled it on top of one another and returned it to dessert table into a different spot than was labeled for cake! The entire staff acted like they did not want to be there, they did not engage with guest and clearly have no experience in hospitality!! You can see from pics what kind of event and the money spent. This staff did not set any of this up or help with any preparation. They simply had to wash glasses from bar and restock food. All dishes were disposable so the only thing needing washed were drink glasses. We were also supposed to have a server taking drink orders for our elderly guest but no one ever showed up and when we asked the staff their reply was "no we are not doing that"! We literally had guest at one point offering to help replenish food cause everything was out and staff was no where to be found! Captain was a complete joke and never oversaw anything. Oh and all the glasses that the 2 bussers we hired washed...the next day we went to check them as they were put back in their crates- none of them were washed, they only rinsed them. They all still had lipstick marks and smudges! This company has not answered any of our phone calls since the party a week ago!! read more

This company was top-notch, start to finish. Andy in the LA office made the intake and estimate process smooth. He was quick to reply and gave excellent detail. The night of -- fantastic!! We hosted a 50 person event in the backyard of an LA home. We had Richard, George, Tom and Catherine. All absolutely amazing. I gave an instruction and timeline for the evening at the outset, and those four executed it to perfection. I did not need to micromanage anything. Our guests loved their professionalism and helpfulness. There were no idle hands; whatever I needed, they were there with a smile and reassuring calm. Truly phenomenal service. I wish I could give this sociopathic business ZERO STARS. I dealt with a blonde girl named Sarah who seemed nice and reasonable. Little did I know she was a mess. David Goldman really needs to protect his business. I hired 2 servers to bartend my party and I was assured by Sarah that their bartenders were the "best of the best". THIS WAS A BLATANT LIE. They didn't know how to make any drinks and the entire time I was hearing them complain about how they were only getting 10 dollars an hour???? When I called Sarah to try and get new staff on board and possibly get a refund for her 2 bartenders DESTROYING MY PARTY I was completely given the cold shoulder. This woman should be banned from the hospitality industry. UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, INCOMPETENT, AND A DISCRACE TO MANKIND. AND THAT'S JUST DESCRIBING THE PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE. We held a housewarming party with about 50 guests and hired a bartender named Samantha (Sam) for the event. Sam did a great job - many of my guests complimented her. Very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Our drinks weren't too complicated but I had the sense she would have been able to handle it. Sam also picked up and circulated amongst the guests. I found the office staff very responsive. Billing through a credit card made it easy. Very good experience. read more

I have coordinated numerous catered events over the past two decades and have never worked with a more professional and well organized agency than The Party Staff! The Party Staff provided eleven servers and two bartenders for an event I helped organize. It was a very difficult event to pull off and it required a crew of thorough professionals. As soon as the staff arrived (they were all on time or early), they organized themselves into workable hierarchies, looked around for tasks that needed immediate attention, and set themselves to work. When I assigned a task (e.g. "keep the dessert table full at all times" or "fill and deliver two hundred champagne glasses in time for the toast"), it was performed with happy enthusiasm. Of course, in any catered event there will be unexpected obstacles and circumstances (we had several) and at times like that you need a staff that thinks on their feet. These professionals do! The Party Staff servers and bartenders were each scrupulously groomed, and their good self-image showed in the quality of their work. The servers explained to me the company's rigorous training program, which accounts for the high degree of professionalism I witnessed. By the way...I notice a Yelp complaint about this company not providing long enough shifts for employees (wasn't Yelp designed for use by customers?). This is an unfair criticism since the shift is determined by the needs of the client. In my case, I was glad the servers were able and willing to stay late and help with unexpected developments. The company is also--importantly--insured. And lastly, I should mention the good communication between the office and myself. All the pieces fit together miraculously this past week end. My wife and I just used The Party Staff to act as servers for our wedding this past weekend and they did an excellent job! We put everything together a bit last minute and met with the server captain Mo just a few weeks before the wedding. It was extremely productive and we felt like he gave us a huge amount of helping in planning out the day and assuring us that everything would turn out great. He was also very responsive during the time between that initial meeting and the day of the wedding itself. On the day of Mo and the rest of the servers showed up promptly and were helpful from the moment they got there. They did an excellent job serving the whole evening and packed everything up for us at the end of the evening. At the guests' insistence we even got Mo to give a wedding toast and it was a good one! I went to a party in December at my cousins house in Los Angeles and they have the best staff! The Bartender was so nice and professional and the other two servers were kind and so professional, they did all they could to make sure we did not have to do one thing. I hired a couple bar tenders for one of my social events. They were excellent and provided great service.

Devin assisted us with our Christmas Eve dinner. We couldn't have found someone more accomplished, congenial, or efficient as Devin. Thank you Party Staff! We had 25 adults, 2 children, and an infant. Our kitchen is small, and we had an extravagant dinner - with a 29 pound beef roast, a 10 pound ham, six sides, soup, and a multitude of appetizers and desserts. Managing the kitchen, replenishing the buffet table, serving the soup, and countless other tasks were done with aplomb. By party's end, the food was put away, and the dishes from guests who brought goodies were cleaned as were all serving and prep dishes. We couldn't have been happier! We had a very good experience with The Party Staff at our wedding. The workers were pleasant, professional and attentive. The bartenders were well trained and charmed our guests. My only concern - which I believe can easily remedied by The Party Staff - is in the areas communication and planning. It was hard at times to get quick answers about the staff from the Party Staff office. This is a minor concern but it was an aspect of our experience that was a little frustrating.
