I can't say enough about how perfectly the pasta is done "al dente" 100%, and very, very reasonably priced! Saturday is their rib special and you can add a pasta dish for very little extra. Their signature Sicilian pasta has lots of tender chicken breast, chorizo sausage and fresh peppers in a delicious rose' sauce, There is a hefty amount of garlic in this sauce which adds to the overall flavours. Their house salad is a basic mix of spinach, with cranberries, walnuts (I think they were roasted but not sure), soft cheese, with a cesar style dressing that blended into a delightful flavour with every bite. My gf always wanted to come here so we finally did. I ordered the Classic Lasagna and she ordered the Classic Bombay fettuccini pasta which has onions, madras curry in their rose sauce. First, my lasagna was bland, flavourless and lacking. For $24, you'd think it would at least come with garlic bread, think again, that's another $3.50. Also, no real parmesan sprinkled on top, just the dry, cheap parmesan you can use in the shaker. As for the Bombay spaghetti, it's a little better, more flavour. It does come with large pieces of onions scattered through out but not worth the $18. If you want to visit this place, save your money, buy the ingredients and make yourself a delicious version of this meal. And as Uncle Roger says, don't forget the MSG. Make Sh*t Good!!! read more

The only reason I give 1 star is because there's no 0 star option. Went for lunch, place was fully empty so there was no reason for a bad service, but the server treated us very bad, turned back while we were talking to her, brought cold (almost frozen) bread, never refilled drinks, never asked if we wanted something else or if we had any problem. She was pretty much ignoring us there as much as possible, and as soon I asked for to go boxes she brought the bill kinda asking us to leave. Mac and cheese was ok, my son's butter pasta had way too much butter and my wife's lasagna looked more of a leftover bolognese from yesterday warmed up with cheese on top to disguise. I asked for some rose sauce for my son to dip his pasta and she brought bolognese. Definitely worse pasta experience I ever had and worse place in the city to have a meal. Came here for early dinner (5pm), waited a few minutiae qt the door before anyone greeted us, restaurant was half empty, manager (in a nice dressed, made drinks behind the bar) came up and said high top or outside patio and nothing else was available, very direct and could smile a bit more especially at the door (perhaps it was a stressful day for her). We chose high top and server came to greet up. He was quick, got out orders, brought more napkins, service was good. Food came out fast. Food was perfect for me, very lightly seasoned, but too lightly seasoned for my friend who ended up using salt, pepper, and half the jar of chilli and parmesan. We finished eating at 5:30, asked for the bill at 5:45 and all the booths behind the high tops were still empty. The service at the door pretty much affected the mood of the dinner. I had dinner here on Saturday night, we made a reservation as it was billed as super busy. It wasn't but it's probably a good idea anyway. We were greeted warmly by the host and had a nice spot in the upper part of the restaurant. Our server was very sweet, but did not come around very much and we were given our bill before we could order another drink. His suggestions for the food were helpful and he steered us in the right direction. We had the Sicilian penne and the 1/2 rack of ribs and pasta. Both were excellent and we left with some packed up for the next day. My two star review is for the atmosphere. The Pasta Factory is supposed to be one of the nicer places in town, yet people were here in their sweat pants and running shoes. It was a bit disheartening that some kind of dress code wasn't enforced. If a place has a wine list and entrees are $25, you should have to wear proper clothing. The music was also horrendous. It was a 90s pop playlist, it was too loud and distracting and did not fit the style of the restaurant. There was also a server/hostess walking around singing loudly and trying to dance with other servers while they were at tables talking to people, which is great in the right setting and people should enjoy their jobs, but maybe not right beside a table that's trying to have a nice night out or order their food. I would like to come back for the food but I would be hesitant to bring out of town visitors here. That's who I brought on Saturday, having raved about my former experiences here, and I felt embarrassed eating my meal to the tune of the fresh prince of bel air theme song. Well pasta factory I'm sadly dissatisfied and won't be returning :( the casino now has a pasta that is way better! I ordered the sea food flourentine linguine, the cooks didn't put shrimp in both our orders! It tasted so bland without it we got it to go and didn't even touch it other then the prawns! The server said she would take it off the bill as we waited 45 minutes for our meal and I didn't want to send it back! Well she took it off the bill alright $4 for the missing shrimp! Gross! Then I ordered spaghetti to go, she forgot to put it in. Excellent food! I have never been disappointed yet and I eat there quite often! The ribs are always so fall off the bone tender that I can eat them easily and clean with a fork and knife. My husband and I went here before a movie one night. It was half an hour before the movie started and luckily we were seated immediately! Even better? Very overrated. A constant line up most nights. We went in on a very light day (lots of empty seats) and didn't get the best service. The guy that sat us was kind of an arse... The waitress was nice but really only checked in once. Food: good menu selection pasta wise. No fries for those who don't like the noodle (soup or salad). We were seated immediately, and joined by our waitress shortly after. I had the build your own pasta with fettuccine, Alfredo, chicken, mushrooms & prawns. A half order was plenty big and it was the best Alfredo sauce I've ever had in a restaurant. Husband had the ribs with rice & veggies. Ribs were falling off the bone! Very nice casual dining restaurant. The price was decent, the food was good, portions more than generous and the restaurant its self was well kept. My biggest issue was that it was very over priced for a pasta bar. We were all hoping to make our own dishes but the add ons were so expensive that it would have put us all in the mid $20 range just get a pasta with protein added (chicken or seafood) and veggies. So instead we had to find something that was close enough to want we wanted from their pre-made menu which was a little disappointing. Unlike a standard restaurant your paying extra for everything! You don't even get a slice of garlic bread with your pasta which is pretty unheard of. Other than that the food was still fine. I don't regret going here but I could have enjoyed it more. read more

Used to be okay but over the years has gone downhill. The food was never really 'italian' great, but it was passable. We thought we'd give it a try again after not going for over a year so we ordered takeout...we proceeded to get the worst food poisoning EVER. Both my husband and I had the same thing...lasagna with meatballs...I think it was the meatballs...that was the only same food the two of us had eaten in 3 days, so we knew it was that. When I phoned the restaurant (two days later because I was far too ill to do it sooner) to let them know, so that nobody else might fall ill, I was told that nobody else had complained, so it wasn't their food???
