This store is actually really cool. It has everything you'd need for a patio. The furniture was beautiful and the fabric looks durable. I however don't appreciate someone following me around the store yapping in my ear the entire time. I felt like I was bombarded by a car salesman. We were in the market for patio furniture and we were told to check out The Patio Place. Within minutes we found exactly what we were looking for. Jacque helped us find everything we needed. She was very friendly and helpful. Five days later it was delivered by Hector and Victor and they were awesome. They placed the furniture right were we wanted it and showed us how to use the fire pit feature. When they were all done they cleaned up all the plastic bags and took them away. I initially had a misunderstanding with The Patio Place. I spoke with the owner Ronnie on the phone, he was genuinely concerned and apologized for the whole event. Really nice guy. This furniture is WAY overpriced. The owner's approach is very cheesy with his "Sales 101" used cars technique when you walk in the store - also he gets a little snippy as well when his sophomoric antics don't cause you to whip out your pocketbook and sign on the dotted line! This store will try to justify their overpriced patio goods by getting you to "amortize" the expense over 30 years - afterall, this will be the last piece of patio furniture you will every have to buy in your life! Again, If you do choose to look into the store, be prepared experience a used car sales approach and NEGOTIATE. Purchased a very expensive umbrella from here and was promised the moon and the stars with such a great no questions asked warranty. Needless to say it didn't last like they said it would and over 3k later now it's someone else's fault that won't honor the warranty. Save your money and go to a big box store, even if you have to buy it twice there it's still cheaper and less of a headache. So very disappointing as this was the go to store for us. Not anymore, won't make that mistake 2x. Doesn't matter how high end thier products are if they dismiss any warranty claims and blame it on another company what good is it? The old bait and switch, we stand behind anything until it's time to use it and then it's the manufacturer says that's not supposed to happen and won't cover it. The Patio Place has a medley of high quality outdoor furnishings to choose from. The customer service is friendly but more importantly knowledgeable and helpful. The Patio Place is making new custom cushions our patio furniture (we moved to CA from CO). We also ordered an umbrella as well as a grill. The grill performs better than expected, while the umbrella has yet to come in. I will definitely continue working with the Patio Place! read more

I have purchased over $5k in patio furniture from this business but never again. I am a business owner so I know the importance of customer retention and customer service. I brought my older cushions in to be re-upholstered to the patio place. After waiting for months I called them only to be told they had no record of the order and didn't have my cushions either. The owner indicated it was my fault for not having my receipt showing I actually placed the order. Not only was the owner rude he also admitted he closed the store on Bullard/West which is where I left my cushions with his employee Marty who was no longer working for him. Instead of calling Marty to find out that happened he decided to act like I was lying and challenges my story. Whatever....like I'd really lose my own cushions and make it up for what? So it's my fault that his employee made a mistake and now the cushions apparently went with the store....GONE forever! The owner clearly doesn't care or even know I had spent thousands of dollars in that store because he doesn't keep records properly. What he did do was be extremely rude and never once apologized for losing my cushions. For a place that charges as much as they do and for a place that sold me and my family members furniture in the past I can tell you that word spreads quickly in this town and the likely reason he closed his original store is because of the way he treats his customers! You can't run a business like that! I would stay away from this place and buy online, this business is a ripoff and they lost my personal property and then blamed it on me! Buyers beware! read more

Terrible customer service. Paid over $2 grand for a plastic piece of furniture. Was told it would take 4-6 weeks. At 6 weeks I called and spoke to Nancy. Wow was she rude. Basically told me to sit back they are taking care of it. Now I am at 8 weeks and told the same thing by Jackie but now it will take another 10 days. Asked me what she could do for me. I advised you could refund me some of this over priced item I have over waited for, especially the delivery charge. That was not an option! The only option was spending more money in there store that I would never purchase anything from again! Out of money and no merchandise! UPDATE: Do not shop here. Left a message for the owner on his private cell phone about what was happening. Asked him to give me a call after he reviews the google reviews. Wow they really have some beautiful patio furniture and accessories in this store! They have really high end stuff so it can be expensive. I waited till they had a sale and bought 2 of their most comfortable chairs I could find after sitting on every chair in this store, the Bullard locations store as well as orchard and lowes. I think they were half off but still expensive. I justified the cost because they are so well made I expect them to last a very very long time. I sit in these chairs sometimes hours at a time reading books so I needed something super comfortable and I must say they are a dream to sit on and I get a lot of compliments. I also bought a cute outdoor speaker but couldn't connect it to my phone for some reason and they returned it even though I had waited over 30 days. Mike was my salesman and I never felt pressured and I felt he was patient with me even though I took a very long time, I really appreciated that. I will say that for the money i spent I really wish they offered free shipping, if I remember correctly the shipping was around $50 but that did include set up. read more

I can only describe my experience with them as a nightmare. We were told it would be 6 to 8 weeks for our custom order furniture to arrive. At week six, we began calling for updates. At that time, we were told it had shipped. We followed up the following week, and were treated like we were inconveniencing them to follow up. At week eight, we were told, so sorry, we will tell you the truth now. They only send furniture when the truck is full, and it is not. The only reason we found out the truth, which was that our furniture still hadn't been made, was because we physical went to the store, called them out on their lies, and demanded they get the manufacturer on the phone in front of us. This was when we found out there were still pieces that had not been built. Eleven weeks later, I have beautiful furniture, but the stress of not knowing if these people had run off with thousands of dollars, and their rude attitude made this the absolute worst furniture buying experience of my life. I would like to update my terrible review from 2013. Things have changed in that place. Truthfully I walked in there just to look at a product that I knew I was going to buy elsewhere, but The Patio Place was closer. I just wanted to see the product. Much to my surprise, the service was really great. Last thing I expected. Nicest people...very knowledgeable, and are now very price competitive on top of that. I could order it online for a bit cheaper, but I am very concerned about small business in our own city and county being able to stay in business. Seems like Amazon is taking over the world. What will happen to small business if we aren't willing to pay a little more to support jobs in our own town? I haven't purchased yet, but I am going to do business with this company. I'm all about customer service. I'm happy that I gave this place a second chance, even if that wasn't my intention of going in there. read more
