    Onion rings
    Anthony T.

The Patty Wagon is an absolute must try. This food truck just opened about a week ago and it is already one of the best spots I have eaten at recently. Everything is made fresh to order and nothing is pre bought frozen food. You can really taste the difference. The menu includes burgers, fries, hot dogs, onion rings, cheesesteaks, cheesesteak fries, and chili, with occasional specials mixed in. Today I ordered onion rings, chili, cheeseburgers, and a cheesesteak, and every item was excellent. The onion rings were excellent. Crispy, perfectly cooked, and not soggy at all. I normally despise onion rings but I honestly really enjoyed these. The chili was flavorful and hearty and tasted freshly made. The cheeseburger was great. Lots of flavor, perfectly melted cheese, and the bun was soft and fluffy. The ranch and house sauce were also amazing and both are made from scratch. The cheesesteak was hands down my favorite item. Really really good. I enjoy it plain with provolone and this one was spot on with great flavor and balance. The owner and his wife were incredibly friendly and welcoming and happily accommodated my requests when ordering. They also mentioned they do catering and events. The truck itself looks great. Everything was clean, well maintained, and professional. They are currently located at 3510 Charter Park Dr in San Jose and are working toward a more permanent location. I would honestly recommend The Patty Wagon to anyone looking for a great burger or cheesesteak. I will definitely be coming back soon.

This row is super close to the convention center and all of the restaurants get a lot of business during this time (RIP Iguana's my beloved). When we came here for a later lunch, it was quite busy, trashcans filled, but we were able to score a table when someone was getting ready to leave and ordering was done easily through a kiosk but I'm sure that they take orders from the cashier as well. For our visit, I got the: 1) Ocean's Heart: -This is one of their Banmie's specials and immediately caught my attention with how pretty it looked. -It's sea salted foam, coconut juice, and butterfly pea jelly and coconut jelly. As the name implies, it's a very coconut tasting drink and I don't usually see butterfly pea jelly as a topping, so this was nice. I'm just okay with coconut drinks, so I wouldn't get this again, but it's not bad. -Again, just know if you're preggers, it can apparently trigger uterine contractions... 2) Garlic Fries: -Small basket of crispy thick steak fries and some diced garlic on top. I think I would just get regular fries since it wasn't that garlicky due to the distribution but this might be due to how busy they were during our visit. 3) Spartan Hoagie: -I didn't go to SJSU but I have wandered the campus due to its vicinity to Fanime and seeing that this is based on the local college, you just gotta, you know? -It's a hoagie with shredded steak, a Frank's hot dog, lettuce, sweet relish, stuffed with fries (I really shouldn't have ordered a separate order of fries), and American cheese with their special tangy cheesy sauce. -Super messy, but indulgent junky fast food sandwich to enjoy. I mean, you can't go wrong with hot dog, fries, sauce, and steak. Hard to take a bite of everything all at once so this just became a bit of a deconstructed dish, but good either way! It truly is a brave endeavor into Asian fusion foods and honestly I'm here for more of these junky fusions but it is a bit pricy (though the portions are pretty big and easy to share with others if you want to try more of their menu). Just keep in mind that the options here can get SUPER messy so keep the napkins on hand and make sure you don't get any on your cosplay!

The Matcha blues boba drink was delicious, and I also enjoyed fried lobster balls and my bbq pork banh mi sandwich. The women working were so friendly and so kind. This place is hopping with college students coming in and out, and it's also very close to downtown and the convention center.

We enjoyed their chicken wings, calamari and fried breaded shrimp appetizers. It was excellent. We could barely enjoy our 3 topping pizza, grilled smoky chicken salad and lemon pepper chicken tenders. I wish we had something like this in SF. We got a lot of food for $10 happy hour entrees. We probably inundated the staff with our party of 30 people but everyone had a good time. Pizzas were good. I thoroughly enjoyed my pepperoni, bacon and mushroom pizza. Someone said the sausage on their pizza didn't taste right. The grilled chicken in the salad had a good smoky flavor. The lemon pepper chicken tenders were a little too shriveled up for me. Maybe the oil they fried them in was old.

I ordered a burger and my hubby ordered a pizza. Plenty to eat and we took home 1/2 of our order. This restaurant is in sort of an industrial area with a small parking lot. I'd recommend it and would definitely go back.
