This row is super close to the convention center and all of the restaurants get a lot of business during this time (RIP Iguana's my beloved). When we came here for a later lunch, it was quite busy, trashcans filled, but we were able to score a table when someone was getting ready to leave and ordering was done easily through a kiosk but I'm sure that they take orders from the cashier as well. For our visit, I got the: 1) Ocean's Heart: -This is one of their Banmie's specials and immediately caught my attention with how pretty it looked. -It's sea salted foam, coconut juice, and butterfly pea jelly and coconut jelly. As the name implies, it's a very coconut tasting drink and I don't usually see butterfly pea jelly as a topping, so this was nice. I'm just okay with coconut drinks, so I wouldn't get this again, but it's not bad. -Again, just know if you're preggers, it can apparently trigger uterine contractions... 2) Garlic Fries: -Small basket of crispy thick steak fries and some diced garlic on top. I think I would just get regular fries since it wasn't that garlicky due to the distribution but this might be due to how busy they were during our visit. 3) Spartan Hoagie: -I didn't go to SJSU but I have wandered the campus due to its vicinity to Fanime and seeing that this is based on the local college, you just gotta, you know? -It's a hoagie with shredded steak, a Frank's hot dog, lettuce, sweet relish, stuffed with fries (I really shouldn't have ordered a separate order of fries), and American cheese with their special tangy cheesy sauce. -Super messy, but indulgent junky fast food sandwich to enjoy. I mean, you can't go wrong with hot dog, fries, sauce, and steak. Hard to take a bite of everything all at once so this just became a bit of a deconstructed dish, but good either way! It truly is a brave endeavor into Asian fusion foods and honestly I'm here for more of these junky fusions but it is a bit pricy (though the portions are pretty big and easy to share with others if you want to try more of their menu). Just keep in mind that the options here can get SUPER messy so keep the napkins on hand and make sure you don't get any on your cosplay!

It's basically to ensure we keep things orderly and clean. He reached 2 food trucks that agreed to attend the event. The event occurred last Saturday from 11:30-2PM at Cataldi Park. They arrived early and I was thrilled that they accept cards. Gavin was hungry, so I got him a Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich. It is not listed on their menu, but there was a hand written sign that Gavin happened to be looking at. I ordered a side of waffle fries w/ ranch and I got my dad the same sandwich. + friendly service + good variety on the menu + my dad and Gavin raved about their sandwich I would give them a try myself next time. I'd go out of my way to have their burgers again! The fries were good too, but the burger was GREAT! It was a 1/2-pound patty on a generous bun. And yes, it's pricier than a fast-food place, but there's a lot of overhead in running a food truck. (At the same show, the venue was charging $11 for a beer, so I don't feel bad about spending $14 on a 1/2-pound burger.)

I left my purse on the chair to go talk to some colleagues. When I came back, my purse was gone. The table and chairs were rearranged and dishes were taking away. Later I came to the front desk and asked if someone returned my purse, the manager (Juan?) gave me the purse and said an old man turned it in. I was happy to get it back but when I looked inside my wallet, hundreds of dollars bills were gone! I came back and told the manager and asked if we could review the video footage because it was right under the camera where I sat. He said he didn't have an access to the video and that I had to call the morning manager (aka his boss) named Huber as he would have access to it. I came the next morning before the door opened. Huber arrived and I told him. He said he didn't know how to access it. He said he didn't know how to do it and would call the head office to get the instruction and call me back. He never called me. I then called and came by. He said he was busy. The police asked if he could review the footage to confirm what he saw and then they would come out. Huber constantly made excuses that he was busy even when I came by and there was not many people. When I called again in the afternoon, someone said Huber left due to some emergency. How convenient! Then the whole week went by, no phone calls from them whatsoever... I suspected it was their waiter who cleaned the table and rearranged it so they refused to cooperate to cover their butt because the last time I saw my purse was when everything was cleaned and the table and chairs were re-arranged. The fact that the camera was right there so a quick review could have helped the police to identify the person yet they refused for over a week was strange. Wouldn't they want to help the customer and also help their business by identifying the suspect, especially when the video would totally show it, unless it was their waiter that did it?! Huber showed me an empty wallet sitting in a basket at the front desk. He said see, theres another wallet here, and we have some stuff people turned in the back that no one claimed. I found it strange that many people left empty wallets ot purses here. Please don't come here to eat unless you want to risk your wallets or purses be stolen! And btw, their food also sucks! Dry pizza, overcooked fried chicken, and undercooked meat! It was our first time visit and absolutely last.

We got the Ike's favorites box which has an awesome variety of meat, veggie, & halal options + some chicken strips. There was really something for everyone (so much that we had no sandwiches left over lol). Will definitely be using their catering again for my next party.
