I found Dr. Kuty's (Maria) company the day Minou showed me signs that he was ready to sleep forever - I looked them up on Maps and their company was the first to show with nothing but perfect feedback. I sent them an email first, it was a Sunday and at around 5 am, I received a response. I called them and although I was on hold for a while, I eventually spoke to someone who was nothing but supportive and compassionate. Never did I feel judged or hurried. I was crying my heart out and could barely talk - their patience and support was so helpful in easing a pain so intense. Maria arrived on time at our home. She, just like her team, was very supportive and compassionate. She took time to get to know us and Minou - she showed genuine kindness and love for animals (and genuine compassion for grieving pet parents). The whole process never felt rushed. Minou my cat never winced as the medicines were given and seemed to have been comfortable with Maria being there. From beginning to the end - up until Minou's cremains (in a beautiful urn and paw print tile) came back home. I'm so thankful for At Home, At Rest Pet Euthanasia. They're truly people you want to be on your side during these times. Minou was home, in my arms and took his last breath of his Mama's scent and hearing his Mama's heartbeat.

When I contacted Restful Paws, I didn't know what to expect. In fact, I felt bad crying on the phone because I couldn't imagine trying to talk to someone like me at that moment. But the staff couldn't be more understanding and supportive. Unlike making end of life decisions for your fur baby, the process of scheduling this appointment was very easy. Restful Paws asked all the right questions, set the expectations, and made this process that much easier. And on the day of, Dr. Ami arrived promptly at the scheduled time. She was very caring and understanding, and she put all of us at ease. We could not have asked for a better last day for our Sodapop. I'm thankful that we reached out to restful pause, and grateful that they were able to come to our house to help us get through this phase. Weeks later, we received a card from Dr. Ami sending us her condolences. Thank you, Restful Paws, for doing the service that you do. We were able to find a weekend availability which was best scenario so everyone could attend. Dr. Vine was very punctual the day of and gave us a thorough breakdown of what to expect (pain reliever, anesthesia, and euthanasia). We didn't feel rushed at any point, and we were given ample time before proceeding to each stage. She was very respectful and the process was smooth. After the euthanasia, we were able to choose where we wanted the fur clippings. The paw print was perfectly imprinted with Christy's name, which added such a sweet personal touch. We chose to pickup Christy's ashes at Sage, and it was quick. The only thing is it felt very jarring going to an animal hospital filled with so many people and dogs. Considering this was only 2 weeks after the euthanasia, I was still grieving and it was difficult being in that environment so soon. The only feedback I'd give is it'd be more mindful if there was a separate pickup location away from everyone else for more privacy. Dr. Vine sent a sympathy card as well and it was very sweet. Thank you so much for giving Christy such a respectful experience and having her pass comfortably and peacefully. I will definitely recommend this organization to loved ones! She assisted us in the exam room and was also very calm to make sure my boy wasn't more anxious than he already was. Dr. Rao helped us today and we loved her! She radiated positive energy, was patient, caring, and didn't try to push any other work needed on us besides what I originally came for (unlike other places). Like any emergency room on a holiday, it took 2-3 hours before the veterinarian was able to see him. After arrival he was triaged by a nurse. The veterinary performed a very thorough exam and administered pain medication. Beacon Veterinary also provided us with complete visit reports, which we'll take to our primary vet for follow-up treatment. Because of another health condition, we've been taking our dog to a specialist at Beacon for the past several years. With both services, our experience has been excellent.

I wanted to shoutout the staffer who helped us, Kass, who was very friendly, responsive and respectful and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. There are some options when a pet passes. We scheduled our vet to help us with in-home euthanasia, and we made plans to bring our dog to Golden State. They had a room available to us to say goodbye, we even brought our other dog with us to say goodbye. The have a variety of package options (custom urns, etc.), we had our own plans in mind but Kass was not too pushy in trying to upsell options. When you dropoff a pet for cremation, they say they will turn that around in 7-10 business days, I think they did it in 6. It feels a little weird to review a pet crematorium, but we have another dog at the moment, and we'd consider using Golden State again.

We were faced with the difficult choice of going to a vet clinic or finding an in-home euthanasia service. We found Heaven from Home and reached out to Dr. Wensing. Although she was initially fully booked, she took the time to speak with us and even recommended other in-home services to try. Unfortunately, none had availability, and we were preparing ourselves for a traditional vet visit...something we knew would cause our already fragile girl a lot of anxiety. Then, Dr. Wensing called back. She had a cancellation and could come that same day. It truly felt like a blessing. She arrived with such compassion and calm presence, and because of her, our girl was able to pass peacefully in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her family. It meant everything to us to give her that kind of goodbye. We could not have asked for a more caring, professional, and humane experience during one of the most heartbreaking moments of our lives. If you are facing a similar situation, I cannot recommend Dr. Wensing and Heaven from Home enough. I'm used to medical/veterinary staff being hurried and brusque, but Dr. Wensing was anything but. She's set the bar so stratospherically high here I don't think anyone will ever come close. She responded within a few minutes, was able to come out on a weekend, same day short notice, and offered multiple times to find what would work best. It was important to me that we were able to find a time where everyone could be present. My girls Kaylee and Gabby liked her immediately. She clearly has a gift with animals. She walked us through what the process would be like, answered all of our questions, and made us feel confident that we were doing what was best. She was gentle, calming, and patient, and made sure we knew what was happening every step of the way, giving us as much time as we needed when we needed it. When it was time for her to leave, she left us with the kindest words and warm hugs, as though she were a long-time friend. She clearly has a gift with people, too. On one of my worst days of my life, she brought such compassion, consideration, professionalism, care, warmth, and peace into my home that it seemed superhuman. I don't believe in angels, but if I did, she'd be one of them. Kaylee's sister Gabby is still with us, and I hope she still has a good number of years ahead, but Dr. Wensing will be the first person I call when the time comes.
