I am so blown away by the incredible service that is, The Peaceful Pup. Brandy, the owner, is professional, friendly and my dogs loved her! I am a fairly new client and upon signing up for their service, had my initial home visit with both Brandy and Pamela, another wonderful Peaceful Pup team member. Upon arriving at my home, my dogs immediately felt comfortable and my frenchie could not stop bringing toys to Pamela! These two ladies run a wonderful operation and the service is the best I've ever experienced and when it comes to someone pet sitting your precious fur babies, you want only the best service! I regularly use their potty break service as well as their vacation visits and it's wonderful. They work within an app that is very user friendly and gives you regular updates of their visit, including adorable photos of your pets. I couldn't be happier and more relaxed when out if town for the day, knowing that our dogs were well taken care of. Best Dog Walking/Sitting service ever!! And local to Ojai!!!! Yay!!! Peaceful Pup is right on with their name. Not only will your furry loved one be at peace by the end of a day full of exercise, play and love, but you will also have peace of mind knowing they are in great hands!! I'm not even sure they missed me? Lol... I was frantic when I heard my usual dog sitter was not going to be available during a time my family and I had planned to be out of the country. I have two bigger, older dogs, who have special needs and behavior particularities (trust issues), and it just takes time and trust for my "kids" to be happy. Brandy, the owner, and her wonderful team, Emy and Rebecca, not only took the time to listen to all the details I felt were important to know, but they made sure to take heed of my recommendations and warnings, and took great notes to provide Tobe and Angel a smooth transition that they were not expecting with such short notice. Tobe and Angel weren't the "problem children" challenge that I thought they would be after all...Brandy and her team just have that naturally gifted comfort, control and confidence about them when they are around furry friends. I opted to choose the lock box option which is great, highly recommended and secure. The daily pictures and reports are also a great bonus. I look forward to seeing their cute faces and reading how their day went. It gives me lots of reassurance and peace. The prices are also more than reasonable. My husband and I ran into a dilemma on our vacation. We had a mountain bike trip planned the next day, and it turned out we couldn't bring our young dog. So I called the peaceful pup, a few hours before we turned in for the night. They were able to quickly find someone to come to our hotel the next morning at 7:15. When Amy jo arrived, she immediately calmed Tug down. She took him for two walks and simply wore him out while we were gone! This was very helpful as we had a long road trip planned that afternoon. She was an Aussie lover as well and our puppy took to her immediately. I thought the price was reasonable, and both Brandy the owner, and Amy jo were very friendly and helpful. Peaceful Pup did their best to help me with a short-notice need and were able to provide pet service for most (but not all) of the days I was going to be out of town. I was a little surprised they didn't have anyone else who could help me on the other days, and I had to come home early. That said, the woman who cared for my pets (Lisa) was wonderful and I felt safe leaving town knowing she was going to be tending them. The Peaceful Pup also helped work with me on my budget, which I was grateful for. It made me extra comfortable knowing Lisa is a vet-tech and is comfortable dealing with exotics. We recently moved to Ojai and so had to find a new pet sitter. As soon as I met Brandy, I knew that my pets would be very well taken care of in my absence. My dog immediately fell in big love. My cat, who is usually super shy, hangs out with Brandy while she's at our house. Even my chickens probably hope Brandy will stay longer! I met with Shawnee and she seemed very pleasant and responsible. Unfortunately we were unable to use her because the owner (Brandy) of the company did not want to give out her cell phone information. All communication with the dog walkers/sitters must go through their website. This was something I was not comfortable with. If someone has access to my home and family, I need to know their full name and contact information. Best of luck to the company but thought others should know their policy. read more

We love The Peaceful Pup! We've lived in Ojai for 8 months now and they are the only ones we rely on for any dog walking needs. We have two small active dachshund mixes that they would walk for us when we travel (and we used to travel a lot.) Shawnee was our first walker and she was great. Our girls loved her. I am so grateful to The Peaceful Pup dog-sitting service! While we were in Connecticut last week (July 2-7), the temperatures here in Mira Monte reached 108 degrees. Not only did the sitters take special care of our two dogs, but they fed our fish daily and--most amazing of all--they went out of their way to keep our chickens cool. They put frozen bottles of water by the four little chicks, gave the hens frozen watermelon, held and misted mother hen with cool water, and set out buckets of water for both the adults and the baby chicks. Brandy, the owner, made special trips to our house to make sure the chickens were okay. And they kept us posted by email every day so we could relax and enjoy our vacation, sending us pictures of our dogs, our fish, and our chickens. I am certain that our hens would have died without the special care taken by Brandy, Amy Jo and Rebecca. And they didn't charge us a penny more than what we contracted for to watch our two dogs.
