Robin is amazing. My two French Bulldogs have been going to for 3 years . Robin is kind and is awesome with animals. My dogs are very picky about their paws but they let Robin cut their nails. The facility itself appeared very dirty and poorly maintained. I had serious concerns about the cleanliness of the grooming areas and the overall sanitation practices being used. After my dog's visit, I also became concerned that my dog may have picked up fleas or another issue from the environment there. Super cute little shop, that is very clean. I took in my golden doodle and the owner spent a good amount of time grooming her. She came out super cute with her ears, tail and eyelashes still long. She was a little shorter than I would have liked, but I didn't clarify when I dropped her off how short I wanted to go so that was my mistake. Very affordable in comparison to other shops! read more

I was moved to post this because of a touching experience... I didn't like how she hadn't cut too closely under my dog's chin (the lion look not my thing), so I went in to ask her to trim it. When I went in, she was behind a partition, bathing a dog. Neither of us could see each other, and nobody else was there. And I heard her talking with such love and kindness to the dog she was bathing. Something very special about someone who treats animals with such kindness, even if they're not hers and nobody's watching. (She very kindly trimmed my dog's mane as soon as she and the very large dog came out from behind the partition.) Also, much easier to schedule than other options in the area. This is my initial review of the new ownership. I'm going to be honest for the communities sake. Let's start with the most important rating of any groomer, their skills: I've been there two times and they have done an excellent job with my princess. She was treated to a wash and a nail trimming as well as what they called a "Brazilian". Haha! Points for fun! Cost, $70. I'm still assessing the competitive landscape so I will reserve judgement as I know everything has gone up. What confuses me is the "good cop, bad cop" vibe I get from the ownership team. Fiamma is sweet and knowledgeable. She makes you feel welcome. Her, what I assume is her partner, is the antithesis. He barges in abrupt and suspiciously. It is a jarring juxtaposition to Fiamma's demeanor. Dude needs to mellow out and understand the community he is servicing. I really want to love this place but like my experience this far, I'm mixed. read more

We took our two senior pups to see Robin on Saturday. She had same day openings due to the Ventura County Fair going on. My male pup has a heart condition so I don't like him to spend too much time in the crate at the groomer, as he gets too stressed out. Robin was very understanding, called me as soon as they were ready and they look amazing! Additionally, my dogs were not stressed out at all, as they usually are after being groomed. When the groomer in Oak View moved to Ventura, there was definitely a gap left in our puppy hearts! I have 2 dogs and trying to get them down to Ventura with 2 little (human) boys and a fulltime work schedule was just impossible. I was THRILLED to see Max's Groomer take over the old spot. My 16 year old Yorkie has severe separation anxiety. I moved to Ojai a mont ago and have been looking for a groomer. I am so glad I found Robin. Usually Chewy trembles and shakes with groomers. Today Robin just picked him up and reassured him and when she put him in the kennel he could see me and he " made a nest" of his blanket and I felt so comfortable leaving him in her care. Fiamma gave us a Christmas miracle when she agreed to groom our rough coat collie on Christmas Eve! I can't believe the transformation. Our collie, Wynnie, was just gorgeous when Fiamma was finished. Sadly I cant even review the grooming skills because they cancelled the first appt on Saturday last minute due to being too tired but stated we could pick a time on Sunday and they would accommodate...not only did that not happen but they didn't even call back until Monday I stopped by on Tuesday and they said they could do the job at 4 pm....literally returned at 4 pm to a dark and locked store, so I'm going to go with a hard NO based on customer service, hard No on reliability,and professionalism. read more
