We recently moved to Piru from Thousand Oaks, where we had our girl Heidi groomed about every 3 wks. Heidi is our 2 1/2 yo rescue dog, and a purebred Mini Schnauzer. Since we adopted Heidi, we've made sure to keep her looking her best with regular brushes & grooming. Our move to Piru and prepping before & unpacking after had poor Heidi looking pretty ragged. It was when finally found a groomer by the new house, (after reading reviews on Yelp & asking around) that we realized Heidi hadn't been groomed since 12/22/24! She went into Pampered Paws looking pretty ragged, but as you can see in the pictures, she came out looking like the purebred queen she is! Such a relief to find a nearby groomer who is also skilled at *schnauzer cuts and we can't be happier with the results of her first visit with them look forward to many years together! * It's important to point out to other schnauzer mommy & daddy's, the eyebrows have been GORGEOUS after each visit to the PP. We have been twice now, and she looked even better get 2nd visit. But the Schnauzer's eyebrows, if cut at any kind of angle, makes your sweet dog appear possessed, a "demon dog" if you will. It changes their entire appearance! If you know, you know. They've been cut straight across and gorgeous! Plus, they clean her face to perfection! I will now be taking my dog to this groomer they did an excellent job. My dogs hair was actually much longer covering his eyes but I wanted to post something before and after for reference. Id rather drive to Fillmore and give my business to a local groomer than a large chain. The groomer cut my dog's hair it to a perfect amount and took her time. He came home with a little valentines bow tie to boot and happy as can be. Service time 31/2 hours, cost was $65 and a very happy dog. read more

5 HOURS!!! MY DOG WAS LOCKED UP IN A CAGE FOR 5 HOURS UNTIL THEY FINALLY GOT TO HIM. I dropped him off at 11am and when I called at 4pm to check in on him they were just starting on him. What's the point of making an appointment if they can't get to your dog for 5 hours?? To top it off when I came in to get my dog I pulled out my credit card and was told they do not accept credit cards. There's no sign up on the door or inside and they didn't tell me when I dropped off my dog or over the phone when they called to tell me he was ready. I had to drive to an atm to get cash. Total hassle!!! PLUS he drank an entire bowl of water when he got home so there must have been NO water in his cage. It's convenient to have a local groomer in town but if you care about how your pet is treated when you're not around then I'd go else where. There are groomers in Santa Paula, Moorpark and Valencia. read more

I've never taken any of my dogs to a groomer before and i was really nervous about how my girl would act without me around. When I dropped off Shady the lady working there told me it would be about 3 hours and I really had second thoughts but decided to try it out. I've always washed my dogs on my own but my dog has a really thick coat and she sheds like no other dog I've met, any time I comb out my dogs hair my yard is covered in hair after so I usually take her to the dog park to comb her out. Even after I comb out my dogs hair and wash her, I still find loose hair. My dog took 3 hours to groom and I thought for sure I would be asked to pay more then they quoted me because she is a lot of work but she only charged me what she quoted me and since it was my first time there the groomer brushed her teeth and cleaned out her ears for free! My dog was clean, her hair was very soft, there was no loose hair on her, she was dry, her nails were done, her ears were clean, and her teeth were clean! This place is awesome and I don't think I'll ever wash my dog again. My dog was very happy afterwards, she was getting praises from everyone in the family and she loved it. I couldn't believe the price I paid, I get my car washed for almost the same price and the groomer spent 3 hours on my dog! read more

So we made an appointment two weeks ago to have our cat groomed. We went in for our appointment and there was no one there to bath her. They said the person who bathed cats went on vacation. They did call but did not leave a message. I was at work and could not take the call so a message would have been nice. We sedated our girl for this so she would be more comfortable. They did not even apologize for our inconvenience. So very unprofessional. We will drive her anywhere but this place. read more

Finally a place in little Fillmore that does a superb job! I have 2 Yorkies and finding a place that actually knew how to do a Yorkie cut was no easy task. My two Shetland sheepdogs were in desperate need of grooming. The groomers at Pampered Paws did an amazing job!! They got our all of their under coats and trimmed their nails, cleaned their ears and even brushed their teeth! My dogs look so beautiful! I come here a lot to get my chiweenie groomed it is 35 dollars for teeth cleaning, groomed, nail trim, and anal glands expressed. It is a nice set up. They only take cash or check which I think that sucks. They take about 2 hours you can drop off your pet. They always do a good job and my Kona smells good after. The only thing I noticed her teeth still have some plaque she is a tough little dog that does not like her teeth brushed. They are always pretty nice and open on Saturdays which I like it is only by appt. One thing that bothered me which I was about to say forget it. They used to I don't know about now but when you used to call they would never answer and when you left a message they would never call back. I called this last time and they answered right away I hope this changed and maybe if they can insert a debit card machine lol. They are a good local groomer which I like cause I don't have to drive out of town. read more
