Maria and her son were incredibly helpful. Maria fixed TWO tuxedos within 24 hours of my wedding. She took photos of all of the mistakes and then fixed them all so that I had 2 perfect tuxes the next day and evidence to get refunds from the previous tailors. She charged a fraction of the price of these other tailors and got it done in 24 hours. After she fixed them they looked perfect, I've never felt so svelte in my life! Her son was proactive communicating status updates on the work to me over that whole period so I knew it would get done on time and the moment they were ready to be picked up. If you read this Maria, thank you so much!!!!!!

The owner responded to this review stating that final fittings are always offered- that was not the case with my situation. We were told to pick up at a specific time and that was it. I also wanted to add that rude comments were made regarding my mother's weight. I've never felt so uncomfortable during an alteration process. It was impossible to schedule with her and she kept pushing out the pickup date. While I appreciated her attempt to accommodate, I wish she had been honest about her ability to complete the alterations. I would not suggest going here if you are looking for clear pricing and attention to detail.

I can't say enough good things about Meryem and her attention to detail! My daughter had a prom…read moredress with so many layers. Meryem asked my daughter what she was thinking and listened to her wishes. Meryem gave her suggestions - and explained why! YAY!! The dress came out perfectly and my daughter received so many compliments. We easily scheduled the appointments for both the first and second fittings. You will receive one-to-one service since it is a small shop with a personal touch. The value of the work is beyond reasonable. Meryem's talent is beyond explanation. I would recommend Meryem at Tata's Distinctive Tailoring to anyone looking for a personalized, talented, and skilled seamstress.

I had the most amazing experience going to Meryem for my wedding gown alterations. I bought my…read moredress off the rack only 2 months before my wedding, and I went to see Meryem to shorten the straps, tighten the top, and add a bustle. Less than a month before the wedding, I decided I'd really like sleeves. Meryem told me if I bring her the fabric, she will make them for me. I brought in the fabric and an inspiration picture and I am absolutely amazed with the results. Not only did my dress fit perfectly, it was a one of a kind piece of art. Even better than the inspiration picture. Meryem is so talented, and very considerate of making sure it's done with extra time to spare before the event. This is the best place to go for your tailoring and alteration needs.
