My family and I were visiting Westerly for one week in the summer from NY. My mom, sister and I made an appointment for a Saturday morning, and Kayla made us feel right at home right away. She asked me what I had looked at previously, what I liked/ didn't like and what I was looking for. She pulled a few dresses and also let us pull a few dresses and then I tried them all on. She was really helpful in getting me to flesh out what I liked/ didn't like about certain dresses, and helping me trust my instincts. I…read morehad them tailored elsewhere and came in to fix a button but Maria noticed the other tailors had taken them in shoddily and unevenly, and that they used the wrong thread color (red on navy!) for their stitch work. She took photos of all of the mistakes and then fixed them all so that I had 2 perfect tuxes the next day and evidence to get refunds from the previous tailors. She charged a fraction of the price of these other tailors and got it done in 24 hours. After she fixed them they looked perfect, I've never felt so svelte in my life! Her son was proactive communicating status updates on the work to me over that whole period so I knew it would get done on time and the moment they were ready to be picked up. The owner responded to this review stating that final fittings are always offered- that was not the case with my situation. We were told to pick up at a specific time and that was it. I also wanted to add that rude comments were made regarding my mother's weight. I've never felt so uncomfortable during an alteration process. It was impossible to schedule with her and she kept pushing out the pickup date. While I appreciated her attempt to accommodate, I wish she had been honest about her ability to complete the alterations. I would not suggest going here if you are looking for clear pricing and attention to detail.

I was also in the middle of a move and leaving town in 4 days. I reached out to Love Bird with my situation hoping I could at least find something off the rack that would work, because I didn't know what else I could hope for with 4 days notice, and Andi and her team MADE ME A DRESS in 3 DAYS! They fit me in after hours so I could complete fittings every day until I left, listened to everything I liked about the original dress and added details I hadn't even thought to incorporate but made it even better. When I came in to start my search, she had already put a few dresses aside for me that fit my needs. While I tried on gowns, she gave me good honest opinions but was not pushy.
