We started going to The Pediatric Center after transferring from another practice, and it has been such a refreshing change. The office is well-organized, the staff is consistently friendly, and the environment is clean and welcoming. We really appreciate the separation of well and sick visit areas -- it's a thoughtful touch that gives extra peace of mind. Everyone we've encountered has been so kind to our 1.5-year-old, which helps him feel completely at ease during visits. They genuinely interact with the kids and make the experience positive from start to finish. I recently had to call on a weekend and was connected with a nurse who was incredibly helpful and thorough in answering my questions. That kind of care really stands out. We see Dr. Diane Landram, and she is absolutely wonderful. She takes the time to listen, offers helpful and up-to-date information, and never makes you feel rushed or dismissed. I am absolutely appalled by the experience my husband and daughter had at this office. We will never be returning, and I strongly question how this office is being managed. My husband brought our daughter in for an appointment that was specifically scheduled for two shots. In addition, we requested that they look at stitches that had not completely dissolved. Somehow, when my husband arrived, the staff had no idea why she was there and apparently thought the appointment was only for the stitches. This was not a misunderstanding on our end -- the appointment was booked by the nurse for the purpose of getting her shots. Because everyone was apparently getting ready to leave for the day, my husband and daughter were then rushed through the appointment. The fact that the staff had apparently made a scheduling error and were now inconvenienced by their own mistake is not our problem. To make matters worse, this office has previously used a cold-pack buzzer to help distract our daughter during shots. This time, they didn't. It may seem like a small detail, but when you're dealing with a child getting shots, consistency and basic consideration matter. The worst part of the entire experience, however, was what happened afterward. My husband was sent to the manager's office, where the manager proceeded to question him about why we don't bring our daughter in more often. She actually asked, "How do you know she's growing?" Seriously? We can see her. We are her parents. It is completely inappropriate and incredibly condescending for a manager to question a parent about how they choose to parent their own child, especially when there was absolutely no justification for the attitude she took with my husband. Her demeanor was disgusting, judgmental, and completely unprofessional. She then apparently mumbled something along the lines of how it was "good" that he brought her in for her shots because "you know how people are these days." That comment was completely inappropriate and frankly left us wondering exactly what she was implying. There was absolutely no accountability for the office's scheduling error. Instead, my husband was made to feel as though he was the problem. This entire experience was disrespectful, unprofessional, judgmental, and completely unacceptable. Parents should not have to walk into a pediatric office and be made to feel scrutinized or criticized by the people who are supposed to be providing care for their child. What a disgrace. We have completely lost confidence in this office and will be taking our daughter elsewhere. I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for a place where parents and children are treated with basic respect and professionalism. If I could give this office zero stars, I absolutely would. read more

They are unwilling to have a conversation about vaccine safety. A conversation! When I asked questions about vaccine timing they said they would report us to the office manager and threatened to discharge us from their practice. So sad and so broken. We started going here about 5 years ago. The doctors and staff used to be wonderful. However recently the quality of service has degraded, particularly with the nurses who answer the phone. They are snippy, impatient, and rude. While we like our doctor, who continues to practice there, we often have to deal with the nursing staff on the phone for tele-health type questions about illness and having school forms completed. In the past the nurses have been so kind and helpful but lately it has been an unpleasant experience all around. During the past few encounters I've found the nurses to be quite demeaning, impatient, and condescending. While we have had a positive experience with the doctor, we are looking to switch to another practice due to the poor quality of the nursing staff. read more

We starting going here when our twins were around a year and have continued for a year and a half and now bring our 6month old as well. We're able to make wellness appointments easily as well as last minute sick appointments with little hassle. We see Emily Speer's and have loved her. She remembers us and the other kids when they aren't with us and does a great job putting the twins at ease when they're nervous! They've done a great job to adjusting to Covid guidelines and have kept our family feeling safe while still free to easily come in as needed. read more

Met with Dr Rilley who is WONDERFUL! Just amazing and sweet, very patient and answered all of my annoying first time mom questions. My little one has had a bad case of eczema and she's been so helpful in helping us find solutions. Every time I have a concern and request an appointment this place is very responsive and gets my little one in quick to get checked. I really respect their attention to detail and how they take every matter seriously. read more

I'll admit, I've only known two pediatricians as a parent. The first was horrible and I couldn't stand the wait, the staff, the clients, or (most importantly) the doctor. So, when I decided for my son's sake (and my own temper) to find someone new I began researching new places. That's when I found the Pediatric Center, which had a variety of highly rated doctors. We chose one as our specific pediatrician and it's been wonderful since. Our son is an overall healthy boy, but he has a penchant for ear infections (like his father before him) that has caused regular visits. Pediatric Center and the doctors have been very accommodating, taking him the same day and often with relatively minimal wait. We're often out in an hour or so and our local pharmacy is ready with our prescription by the time we arrive. Their new "sick vs healthy" wait rooms are nice and the staff have been cordial, if not friendly, every time. The doctors' and nurses' bedside manners here are wonderful. We've never had a problem, even on the rare occasion our son begins throwing a tantrum. We especially love Dr. Landrum and Dr. Chang, who are knowledgeable about their clients and know how to deal with testy toddlers. It doesn't matter if they're sick or healthy, it's always a pleasure working with them. Now that we have a baby girl, we're glad to bring her here and the experience continues. If you're looking for a new pediatrician, at any age, I cannot recommend Pediatric Center more. Your kids may not show it, but they'll love you all the more for it! read more

I haven't had any issues until today. I called to ask about my son and daughters exams and shots and when they were due. I speak to a receptionist who told me they are was over due. I told her I don't remember getting a reminder for either kid. She then told me they don't send those out because they have 10,000 kids that come to them. So what I hear is that they can't be bothered to have a computer automatically generate reminders. I know I'm not the only parent that is extremely busy and has trouble remembering appointments and such. I will be finding a new pediatrician that knows my kids by first name AND can be bothered to send out a reminder. read more

We have been with PC for 10 years after 3 kids, and we love all the physicians. I hope to see more training for the reception staff as I've never had a pleasant experience at the desk. It just seems to be getting worse. They seem to act bothered or inconvenienced whenever I've approached them, with my 3 young kids in tow. read more

I've been going to the Pediatric Center since I was born, with an eleven year gap from when I was 18 until I had a baby. It was fate that they merged their Columbia and Catonsville locations to a convenient new building off 108 in Columbia. We have had a great experience with the practice from day one. We weren't able to squeeze in for a new parent meet and greet session (they hold one monthly) so one of their nurse administrators, Mary Jo, set aside time for a private Q&A before baby was born. She was a wealth of knowledge, and sat with us answering many of our anxious new parent questions. Our experience has been top notch with everyone we have encountered from the front desk staff, nurses, and doctors. read more

Parking is great. Building is spotless & easy to find. Front desk staff is pleasant & helpful. We never have to wait forever. They have separate sick & well waiting rooms. They have books & activity tables to keep the little folk amused. Most importantly, the docs and RNs are fantastic. Knowledgeable, good bedside manner & they're thorough. I don't think you can expect more. I also really like the fact that you can choose one physician and stick with them. We didn't have that luxury previously and it is very very nice. My only gripe is it can be very difficult to get an appt during cold and flue season. I know it's because they're so popular but it's frustrating when u r a parent with a sick child. read more

I have been taking my daughter here since she as born. Dr. Landrum was on service and saw my daughter literally like 4 hours after she was born and ever since. The office tries to get you in for sick visits. Well visits fill up quickly but with some flexibility you can get an appointment when I want. They can run late on appointments but when it's out turn I never feel rushed and love the detailed follow up. read more

The doctors and all the other providers at this office are great, no question. They have amazing bed side manner and I have nothing to complain about. Patty, the referral coordinator is so rude and doesn't know what manners are. She is always giving attitude for no reason and never gets referrals to other offices on time. She claims she does it and when I say that the office never recieved it she then throws a huge fit and makes me second guess if this office is worth it. Other than that, Dr. Chang is very professional and great with my daughter. read more

The New Pediatric Center is a hit!! If you need a non-fear mongering, easy going, very knowledgeable and just hands down great place to take your child... well look no further than The Pediatric Center!! Where do I start... ok lets start with the building... it is about a yr old so new structure which is always nice! Secondly, they offer a sick and not sick waiting rooms... plus for me since you don't want your non-sick child to get sick just because they had a routine check up. Next, the dreaded wait time! The system that they have in place is great, we have waited no more than 15 mins expect for once when their system was down. So HUGE plus for that! Ok on to the MAIN point of this review... the service! Lets say this, Dr. Landrum and McEwan are amazing. From the moment we met them they were kind, they listened and they understood the anxiety that we were going through as NEW parents. They never ordered the dreaded TOO many tests and they always talked to us in kind and honest words, no dumbing it down or fear mongering. HUGE HUGE HUGE plus for us and the kicker, both Dr's gave us their personal cell phones during a snow storm and they followed up with us while at home and with THEIR families. How amazing is that!! Overall, I would highly highly recommend The Pediatric Center, their staff and system is great and their Dr's are amazing! They provide a great service in a confident, patient centric manner which allows you to stop/reduce your worrying and get back to being a parent. read more

Couldn't be happier with our experience so far! We are first time parents so this is our first experience with a pediatrician's office. We have been seeing Dr. Silber since our baby was discharged from the hospital and she is amazing! So kind and helpful and very thorough. We see Dr.Reilly primarily and she is wonderful. Very kind and thorough without being overwhelming. She has called at the end of the day to check on my kids after sick visits which is great. It's easy to get a same day sick appointment, the wait in the waiting room is never long and I've never had a bad experience with any staff member. We have also seen Dr Saini, Dr Chang, Dr Landrum, and a couple of PAs (unfortunately do not recall their names) and they have all been great. Very kind, very thorough and I have never felt rushed during an appointment. Overall very pleased with our experience at the pediatric center and would definitely recommend. read more
