My daughter loves coming here, and we were prepared for a bad experience. She had only had difficult experiences at doctors before. Since coming here, all that changed- even her routine doctor visits she's excited for now. I love this place and my kids love it even more. The environment is always clean and organized, the staff is always so kind and attentive, and the Doctors are always so thorough and patient. The dental assistant China was very helpful in breaking down the importance of dental hygiene to my kids and how to thoroughly take care of your dental hygiene that even I, myself learned some important thing from her. She's truly amazing and helpful. I highly recommended this place to trust with your kids dental care. The assistant's always do such an amazing job on my kids cleanings and X-Rays that my kids look forward to their dental visits. It's a peace of cake bringing them in for their visits. We are new to the office. I took both my boys in last week. The x-ray technician, Eveny was able to get x-rays on my youngest son. The assistant that cleaned my oldest son's teeth did an amazing job. They also provided sealants as a preventative treatment the same day. I highly recommend this office. The front and back office were all very professional and caring. read more

I cannot say enough good about this office. I have 3 young kids, and the entire staff is so patient and kind with them. My oldest two have no fear going because it's always a calm, happy experience. My two year old is another story, because he's two. Haha. But even with him they are kind, patient, and understanding. My oldest has a unique, rare condition that affects his teeth, and Dr. Lauren is knowledgeable and extremely helpful in keeping a close eye on him. I had been taking my 5 year old daughter to Dr. Neithamer for couple of years for check ups and teeth cleaning. Last May I was told she had 6 cavities and the total cost for me with my insurance would be almost $900. That included a $300 drug cocktail that the insurance did not cover. I went and got a second opinion with another pediatric dentist and she did have 3 cavities, one that was so small that he just wanted to watch it. He repaired the other 2 cavities with white fillings and my total cost was $140. HUGE difference. read more

I'm sad to say that since Dr. Gutenberg took over this office has not been as friendly and a lot of their policy's and prices have changed. They are not helpful when working with your family or schedule and in fact, rude when explaining procedures. Dr. Gutenberg is a sweet lady and I believe she is a good dentist but her staff are terrible. They remodeled the office which is nice however their rug and toys were filthy. In addition to this remodel, they were charging their customers for "extra PPE" ( they said their gowns/ masks- which they did not change between pts, and a new air filter system) due to Covid. However, I feel that these should already be in use at a dentist office. read more

I've been taking my two sons to the pediatric dentist for six years now we started at the Yucca Valley location which is absolutely wonderful. We then moved to the low desert in Palm Desert and started visiting their office in Palm Springs. We recently had a new addition to our family. Our little baby girl was born with lip and tongue tie, unfortunately. We started our journey trying to find someone that would take care of this for us before she got too old. We didn't want to give her any anesthesia , we were referred to Loma Linda Children's Hospital, the ENT division they told us that they couldn't help us until she was two years old. Dr. Lauren had popped into my head , I decided to call her office and make an appointment , sure enough my daughter was in need of the procedure , she got us in asap . Her office uses the laser method and it's over in under 2 minutes , we just got done and it's been about 2 hours and she's doing great . Thank you so much for always taking care of my kids read more

Recently my toddler had a fall and pushed her tooth back and Dr Lauren called me after hours walked me through everything and was so above and beyond. This place is amazing!!!! My little one was referred from our normal dentist to have dental surgery with Dr. Lauren (I was so at peace knowing he was in her care). Later that evening Dr. Lauren actually called me (at home) to check on my little one and to see if I had any questions - who does that any more? I love this place and ended up making her my primary dentist for all my kids. Also, for the surgery they had another board certified anesthesiologist in the room; he was also amazing and they both explained everything super clearly. Just a heads up that this is one of two locations Dr. Lauren owns and works with, the other is in the Yucca Valley / Joshua Tree area. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate knowing that we found an office, staff and doctors that care about my kids so much! Here's a list of things you're probably concerned about that I found reassuring: 1) No, they don't overcharge or try to upsell you! 2) Yes, Dr. Lauren is Board Certified! 3) Yes, this is the office that other dentists send their toughest cases to! 4) Yes, they'll put your child's needs first. 5) Yes, this is also Dr. Steve Neithamer's previous location (someone who I heard was really the business before he retired); it's good to know that he still occasionally works in the office and more reassuring to know that he also trusts Dr. Lauren :) 6) Yes, their staff are the ones that do the free informational sessions at local schools and volunteer at local events! Overall, I'm not sure what it is, but there is just this sense of a professional, positive and fun environment. Probably because they all just love what they do. Either way, I can't say enough, knowing that some folks travel over 100 miles or more to see Dr. Lauren and knowing that she is a Diplomate and a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, remind me that she's very, very good at what she does and can handle very unique cases as well as the day-to-day check-ups. Dr. Lauren and her staff are the best! Their prices are reasonable, they love our kids and they only recommend what is necessary. They don't up-charge, and they care enough to call after after surgeries. This was amazing - Dr. Lauren called me after our kiddo's surgery when she got home to check on us. After our general dentist referred us to her, we're never going back to our other dentist. Now all our kids go here! They are amazing!!!! We decided to change our pediatric dentist for my 6 year old because I was not happy with the staff at our current pediatric dentist's office. What a huge difference!!! We drive to Dr. Lauren's Yucca or Palm Springs office from Palm Desert because her and the entire team are amazing!!! They go above and beyond in servicing and making you feel comfortable and welcomed. My daughter had a bit of an emergency tooth issue and Dr. Lauren literally communicated to us the entire week to care for her. I called the 24hr answering service midnight and Dr. Lauren called back within minutes. My daughter felt no pain during the surgery and in fact can't wait to go back to the dentist. I felt like Dr. Lauren treated my daughter as if it was her own. Finding a great pediatric dentist/doctor for you child is few and far between. I can not recommend her enough. read more

I have to say I'm very impressed with the patience that Dr. Lauren Gutenberg and her staff had with my 3 year old girl. Dr. Gutenberg was referred by Mr. Holloway from the Indio surgery center. We went to the Indio surgery center so she can be put to sleep and they could work on her teeth but she had a fever. So they ended up sending us home. My husband and I are very nervous to have our daughter put to sleep. When I googled Dr. Gutenberg phone number I right away noticed she had good reviews. So to make the story short my daughter ended up having four cavities. She wanted to try laughing gas instead of putting her to sleep witch made me feel little more comfortable with it. My daughter put up a fight with Dr. Gutenberg and her staff.But she never gave up on my 3 year old. She got on her knees to her eye level and explained the process to my daughter. When she was done working on her she rewarded her with sticker and a toy. I most definitely will recommend Dr. Gutenberg to my family and friends. Thank you very much to the hard working staff and to Dr. Lauren Gutenberg for showing love and patience to my baby girl.
