He wanted bread pudding or peach cobbler, however at the time of day we were there, they had been picked over way too much, not leaving much for anyone else to enjoy. I did like the selections in the gift shop and purchased a tea towel before we left. I always like to try a place 3 times so I may stop in and try something else. Again, great customer service.

Well tonight was a new experience for me. I've been to the Harbor restaurant a handful of times…read more The servers are nice but service and food preparation is always exceptionally slow. This being a holiday weekend we expected it to be busy but our group of 4 adults and 2 kids were seated right away, around 6:45. We ordered drinks, soda and water. Drinks came about 30 minutes later the soda and water about 45. Our sever seemed a bit frazzled and we Finally ordered our food around 7:40. We ordered a few more drinks and waited, very patiently. The server mentioned getting us some biscuits a few times but they never made an appearance. By 8:30 the restaurant was pretty cleared out but no sign of any food. Still no food at 8:45 so we told our server if our order hadn't been started we would like to settle our drink bill and go. Then someone named Peyton (hostess??) told us our ticket had only been in for 37 minutes and it would be another 20 minutes until our order would be done. I'm not sure if our server got busy and forgot to put in our order or what happened but we had been waiting an hour snd now it was going to be another 20 minutes. We said we couldn't wait any longer and requested our order be cancelled. When my daughter went to pay for the drinks Peyton told her to never come back. She was shocked and told my son-in-law who then went back in to talk to Peyton. The owner then joined in and basically repeated "never come back". After reading several reviews I guess I'll join the distinguished list of patrons who complained and were told to "never come back". If you do dare to try the Harbor Restaurant I recommend you eat a snack ahead of time as you may be waiting quite a long time for your meal!
