The salad stuff was fresh and the dressings were all good. On the hot side of the buffet they had chicken friend steak, ham, turkey and dressings, bbq brisket and friend chicken. Everything was excellent! The sides were all great. I imagine their homemade pies are amazing but I was too full to try any of them! I will 100% be back anytime I am nearby!!!

First, the service was excellent, I believe our server was named Presley. Very kind, always checking on us and keeping our water and tea full. On the buffet, my dad enjoyed the salad he had, but was surprised at the little variety offered that day. He said last time he was there with my brother there was more to choose from. He then got the fried chicken, which was greasy and barely any chicken on the thigh. I tried to find a drumstick but it was just breasts, thighs and a few wings. He did like the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. As for the fried okra, you have to eat it fresh. It is sitting under a heat lamp just makes it soggy and slimy. I ordered 4 vegetables a la carte which came out to be as much as the all you can eat buffet. First, their onion rings are OUTSTANDING! So is their homemade ranch. What was disappointing was the green beans, they definitely came out of a can and were heated. At $3.99 I expected fresh. There may have been a small piece of onion in it. Not sure if that was how it was cooked or if it fell in from another dish. The black-eyed peas were tasty. I also had a cup of the chicken corn chowder which was good. However, there was pieces of cubed chicken in it which also made me think that it was a prepackaged soup and not homemade. My dad got the coconut cream pie, which tasted good, but could have used more coconut then just on the top. He wanted bread pudding or peach cobbler, however at the time of day we were there, they had been picked over way too much, not leaving much for anyone else to enjoy. I did like the selections in the gift shop and purchased a tea towel before we left. I always like to try a place 3 times so I may stop in and try something else. Again, great customer service.

Our app came quickly but the drinks and food came so slowly. Also between us asking for waters while we look at the cocktail menu was a lot of elapsed time. Food: the steak frites were very salty (and I love salt) but definitely the best meal ordered. The "Mac attack" tasted cheeseless -- literally tasted like water. The chicken Alfredo was "mid" but also a super tiny portion. Both pastas looked like kids meals. I guess they were priced appropriately at least. Not pictured was the Donny burger -- described as "eh it was fine". All left more to be desired. We really wanted to try the cinnamon cake but decided against since service was sooooo slow. The peach tea was bad. The oasis marg was okay. When we asked for wine, we were told "I don't know what we have let me show you" and were shown the screen that listed: white, red, rose, and sparkling. The wine should be listed on the menu with the beer and the cocktails. I'd maybe come again to sit at the bar and have a drink or two if there's live music, but otherwise, this is skippable for a full meal service.

I am amazed and pleased that Corsicana has a place like it! Gourmet food, fine wines, and an intimate setting are the offerings they bring and anyone should be fortunate to be able to partake in this place. I was REALLY glad that we had decided to stay through dinner and even more glad they were able to accommodate us without reservations. Ideally I would say reservations are a good idea because seats are limited. My recommendation: The Filet! Also leave room for dessert!

She has been here a few times and the young lady server working tonight recognized her immediately and gave her a warm greeting and hug. Our server Andrew was so professional and knowledgeable about the menu, he took excellent care of us, didn't mind us visiting, and had wonderful timing as we lingered over the menu and took awhile to decide. Mom and hubs both ordered the Filet, as it's listed it came with Bleu Cheese, neither of them are a fan, so they both asked to remove it, mom traded her asparagus for green beans, and hubs kept his as the chef had created it. Both of them raved about the temperature being perfect, the meat was tender and flavorful. I had the New York Strip that came with green beans and the truffle mashed potatoes. Everything was amazing! My steak was cooked a little past medium, closer to medium well, but it had no ill effect whatsoever, it was tender enough I believe I could have cut it with my fork, the mashed potatoes were silky and so flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and topped with melted butter. The green beans were cooked perfectly, fresh, but also tender, exactly how I like them. 10/10 Will visit again when I'm in Corsicana. This would be an amazing place for a special date night, or to impress clients you might be doing business with, I'd even recommend this Bistro for a rehearsal dinner, or special anniversary. If you want to impress someone, make sure to spend an evening at Across the Street Bistro by Andreas!

I'm not sure if the kitchen was backed up or if the server didn't put in the order? She checked on us a couple of times before we asked about the appetizer when she came around a third time. When the appetizer finally came out, we didn't have plates, so we asked for that. We also noticed the tables around us were all getting complimentary bread. We wanted some to dip in our lemon garlic sauce from the shrimp, so we flagged down another server. My wife tried the blackened snapper, I tried the shrimp po boy and my daughter had the grilled cheese with apple sauce. They didn't bring out a spoon for the apple sauce, so we had to ask for that. The red snapper was over cooked and dry. Overall, the food was ok, but the service was not. The appetizer and plates were never cleared. We had to ask for several routine things, including basic things like refills of water. Several larger groups seated after us received their meal before ours without having to ask their servers for anything. Unfortunately, there's not much in the area, so hopefully this was just a one-off.
