Well tonight was a new experience for me. I've been to the Harbor restaurant a handful of times. The servers are nice but service and food preparation is always exceptionally slow. This being a holiday weekend we expected it to be busy but our group of 4 adults and 2 kids were seated right away, around 6:45. We ordered drinks, soda and water. Drinks came about 30 minutes later the soda and water about 45. Our sever seemed a bit frazzled and we Finally ordered our food around 7:40. We ordered a few more drinks and waited, very patiently. The server mentioned getting us some biscuits a few times but they never made an appearance. By 8:30 the restaurant was pretty cleared out but no sign of any food. Still no food at 8:45 so we told our server if our order hadn't been started we would like to settle our drink bill and go. Then someone named Peyton (hostess??) told us our ticket had only been in for 37 minutes and it would be another 20 minutes until our order would be done. I'm not sure if our server got busy and forgot to put in our order or what happened but we had been waiting an hour snd now it was going to be another 20 minutes. We said we couldn't wait any longer and requested our order be cancelled. When my daughter went to pay for the drinks Peyton told her to never come back. She was shocked and told my son-in-law who then went back in to talk to Peyton. The owner then joined in and basically repeated "never come back". After reading several reviews I guess I'll join the distinguished list of patrons who complained and were told to "never come back". If you do dare to try the Harbor Restaurant I recommend you eat a snack ahead of time as you may be waiting quite a long time for your meal! read more

Just left this place. Drove an hour to eat and enjoy the view. Got seated immediately... Waited 15-20 minutes before I finally got up and asked a server to help us. Ordered two drinks and one plate of food at the same time. Drinks didn't come after 15 minutes, I had to walk inside and ask if we could have our drinks which were sitting at the bar waiting. It's been an hour since we ordered our food (they aren't even busy). Waiter came and said he was bringing us some cinnamon bread.. that never came, finally went inside to ask for our check and told Him we still didn't get food and he tells us the food was plated up waiting to be brought out. We cancelled the order and left! Worst service I have ever had. Cannot tell you what the food was like since we never got it after asking about it several times. read more

We tried this place for dinner recently and it was ok. We tried the garlic shrimp appetizer. It took about 30 min to come out. I'm not sure if the kitchen was backed up or if the server didn't put in the order? She checked on us a couple of times before we asked about the appetizer when she came around a third time. When the appetizer finally came out, we didn't have plates, so we asked for that. We also noticed the tables around us were all getting complimentary bread. We wanted some to dip in our lemon garlic sauce from the shrimp, so we flagged down another server. My wife tried the blackened snapper, I tried the shrimp po boy and my daughter had the grilled cheese with apple sauce. They didn't bring out a spoon for the apple sauce, so we had to ask for that. The red snapper was over cooked and dry. Overall, the food was ok, but the service was not. The appetizer and plates were never cleared. We had to ask for several routine things, including basic things like refills of water. Several larger groups seated after us received their meal before ours without having to ask their servers for anything. Unfortunately, there's not much in the area, so hopefully this was just a one-off. read more

Nice ambiance. You can sit outside and admire the boats on the lake. We made reservations for Mother's Day Brunch Buffet. We got seated right away. But sat at the table for at least 10 minutes before anyone came to our table even though multiple servers walked by. We paid over $45 per person and drinks such as a mimosa or ice tea was not even include in the price. Food was tasty although not exceptional. Prime rib was offered, along with eggs, bacon, French toast, cinnamon rolls. I would not return for their "special brunch". Perhaps they just need extra servers on special days. read more

This was hands down the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. The food was garbage--poorly cooked and barely edible--but the service was somehow even worse. Our waitress did her job, nothing more nothing less. However, another waiter was rude from the start, treated us like we didn't belong there, and then crossed the line completely when it came time to pay. After leaving a 15% tip (which was more than the service deserved), we were chased down, insulted, and told we didn't tip enough. The manager or what she called herself, owner, actually said they "don't like people like us" and told us to never come back. That's harassment, plain and simple. I've never been treated with such disrespect at any business. Save yourself the money, the time, and the humiliation--stay far away from this place. read more

I started out with a Creamsicle drink which was nice at the outset but that " Creamsicle" taste wasn't evident about halfway into the cocktail. The deep fried bread was a novelty. I've never had it before. I won't spoil it in how they make it. You'll have to ask them yourself! The salad was fresh and colorful. I had it with a honey mustard dressing. My main entree was a seafood combo. I chose garlic shrimp and fried catfish. The shrimp came in a small dish akin to a medium ramekin. I liked the taste. The issue with fried anything is you're not sure what you're eating. They were catfish tenders. The green beans I chose must of come out if a institutional can. I can't recall the last time in decades I experienced this. The Molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was good. We did have an attentive server. He took great care of us. Have tried this place around 5 times. Most times, the food takes over an hour to come out. I'm not sure if they are understaffed in the kitchen or if the flow process needs improvement, but they should not sit at full capacity if they can not support it. read more

One of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. We came in around 6pm with a party of 11 people. We ordered food around 6:30, and at 8:30 we still had not gotten our entrees. Our party respectfully asked to close out so we could pay for our drinks, and the owner approached us and argued about how long we had been waiting. My go to is the kebabs. I've tried other dishes at this restaurant, but the kebabs is what I always go here for and the shrimp kebabs are the best. The service is awesome. The atmosphere is awesome. I love the fact that I can play whatever I want on the jukebox from my phone . This building on the lake is amazing, but we were not too impressed with the steaks at all, seems like a steak you would get at Applebees or Chilis, definitely 2 times more than what it should of cost, I also saw a piece of lettuce with some brown on it, service was good just if you are wanting a nice steak dinner I would definitely travel to somewhere else. read more

I've eaten here a few times, mostly for brunch. Because brunch is the most important meal of the day. :) All I can say is get the biscuits and gravy. So, so good. The Cowboy Benedict will also satisfy that craving. If you're an eggs Benedict connoisseur, you will also love this place. My friend swears by the chicken and waffles. If you're looking for something different, the Brisket Hash is my recommendation (made with Bludso's famous brisket). Service has been mostly good. A couple times the kitchen was running behind but our server was up front about it and it wasn't an issue. Great drink menu with mimosa specials if that's your thing. They have life music on the weekends sometimes. I'd check their Facebook page where they post their events. The views are great with the lake in the background. They have lots of indoor and some outdoor seating along the water. Overall, a great place to enjoy good food and hang with friends and family. read more

11 of us celebrating 2 birthdays. Having a great time. ONE of the meals had an issue and the waiter offered a replacement. When the bill arrived they charged for BOTH. The manager said this is the owners policy and there is nothing they can do about. The waiter OFFERED. Never said anything about a second charge. The manager was indifferent. Nevermind the fact that this policy is not posted anywhere. I've traveled all over the world and never run into this policy anywhere. I would suspect it is even illegal if challenged. It's too bad this business will lose all our future business over shrimp scampi that tested like it was drowned in lemons and a lemon of a manager. Save yourself some potential headaches and avoid this place at all costs. Wish I could give it less than 1 star. read more

I just love this place. Great view of the lake, exceptional customer service, and the food and drinks are absolutely delicious. I'm a Martini Girl and I just love a great tasting Martini. It was recommended for us to try the Pineapple Upside Down Martini and oh booooooy was it DELICIOUS, not only did it taste delicious but it was pretty. If you're at the Harbor and you are looking for something different to drink try the Pineapple Upside Down Martini, you will not be disappointed. Wait!!! Let's not forget about the Chocolate Martini. I love the atmosphere of this place. Everyone e is relaxed and chill. I don't eat out because I expect the best food. I go because I want to enjoy the atmosphere and this place always delivers on that. The servers always go out of their way to help. They always seem like they enjoy their job and that's a great thing to have. The place is pretty spacious so you don't feel like you're too close to another table. And the view is great. This place has alot to love but also some not to like. It is the coziest lake resturant I have been to. The atmosphere is calming. The food menu is delightful. Everything I have had on the menu has made my palate happy. The menu is a little smaller for NOT what i would label as a fine dining restuarant. Best place on RC lake to drink eat and relax. The wings are best in area. The bar has great bartenders. Outside on the porch is clean and has a magnificent view. While attending a fishing tournament in the area, we stopped for lunch at this place. While there's some expansion construction underway, the parking lot and the area around the patio are kept clean and easy to access. The service was very friendly and prompt. All our requests for substitutions and add-ons were met without a blink or a cringe. Outside seating offers tables in and out of the sun. The bar is fully stocked and the wine list is not too shabby either. Whenever we're back in the area, will definitely be back. read more
