I would recommend The People Foundation to literally anyone and everyone. I don't think there's is a single person on this planet that wouldn't benefit from SOMETHING in this program. I was struggling with finding and completing my court ordered community service. Between my first arrest, a DSS case, fighting addiction, and homelessness in the beginning, to a recovery program, sobriety, therapy, so many things to accomplish for DSS, multiple things to accomplish for probation while being under a 9096 (meaning if I accomplish them I can have a clear record again), finding out I was pregnant with our second daughter and struggling with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, and moving in with family, to finally getting a great job, finding a house, getting our oldest daughter back, having a beautiful baby girl, and maintaining our sobriety while working upwards of 80 hours a week each with a toddler and an infant, finding the time to do 48 hours of community service was HARD to say the least. When I finally got assigned to a harm reduction clinic that I was so excited for because I'd be helping people in the addiction community, I found out they already had someone currently volunteering there and they didn't have the hours for me, and that was honestly my last hope time wise. I had no idea what to do. And this was the difference between me having a clean record or being a felon for the rest of my life. I ended up finding The People Foundation on a Google search and at first thought it was a complete scam. I did some research into it anyway and found out it was far from a scam and EXACTLY what I needed. It is all online and can be done anytime from anywhere. They have SO many different categories to choose from and so many lessons in each one. There is truly something for anyone and everyone. This didn't feel like another thing to just check the box on. This was something that I truly loved doing and learned so much from. I grew as a person more than I could have ever imagined and am truly thankful for everything I was able to do with them. I would recommend them not only to people who need community service hours, but to ANYONE looking at better themselves at their own pace with anything they're dealing with. Thank you so much! This is a non-profit foundation for people that need to complete community service. It gives you an opportunity to do it online. It's so helpful for people with physical restrictions, or struggle with transportation. You create an account that, in case it's needed, your probation officer can keep up with to make sure you're keeping up with your hours. It has 40+ topics/subjects such as Anger Management, Decision Making, Psychology, Self Improvement and Purpose, How to be an professional, Gang Intervention and Awareness, Substance Abuse, Theft and Shoplifting Intervention, Personal Responsibility, Digital Responsibility, etc. There's such a large variety of topics, there's not something that you can't find that you can resonate with. All of the topics are so very informative. After you pick a topic, you pick a lesson under that topic, Then you read a quick three - six quick paragraph and at the end you answer two questions on the topic. if you click that topic it has 10+ lessons per topic. Each lesson takes 20-30 minutes. It's a really simple process to set up. The website takes you through everything, helps you navigate the website and gives you other opportunities to earn time credit. i think it's an excellent tool for anybody, but especially people that haven't been in therapy or a program. It's almost like your own little form of therapy and very informative information for you to learn at your own pace. The only reason I put four stars is because doing things online can sometimes feel a bit isolating. Sometimes I wish I were doing community service with others as well, but because of the challenges I listed above, this will do and I'm grateful for it. read more

This is such a great 501c3 non profit that helps people with community service. They have several different ways this can be achieved. One way is by taking classes on all different subjects from DUI to theft and everything in between, even some you wouldn't assume would be there. I know some people might think this is an easy way out and very easy to manipulate but it's not, that have thought of everything. When your screen goes dark your countdown to hours stops, they don't allow you to receive some crazy amount of hours but they do allow you a decent amount of time if your a slower reader learner or just someone who likes to re read everything. They ask very intricate questions at the end of each lesson to make sure your understanding and actually reading the material and they also offer peer to peer reviews as a way to earn a few bits of time counted twords your hours 3 mins per peer.read again so your can't just play the system. I think this is a great idea where someone can get their community service done if they were told they could use any 501 c3 non profit, and I love the 4 options to do so! read more

I was told I had to do 24 hours of court ordered community service. Every time I tried to find community service that fit my schedule I could not. I got to learn so many different things to change my mindset, I got to read other peoples positive experiences, I got to relearn good ethics, morals, and values, all the while earning my community service hours. There is a plethora of ways to earn your community service hours even some that were so outside of the box like watching a Michael Jackson video and thinking about and writing about how it inspired you to want to make a change and what the changes would be or simply doing a good deed and writing about what you did and how it made you feel and the person feel. The People Foundation is an incredible organization. I didn't know they existed until a few weeks ago and I'm so grateful for the services they offer. At first I thought it was a joke or scam,but it is legit, online community service. There is a $20 enrollment fee and then $1/hr for the # of hours you need to complete, which is very reasonable. The lessons they offer are very relevant and actually educational. I have learned a lot of helpful skills and techniques to better myself as a person. If you think your going to be able to cheat the system and just rack up on hours, your in the wrong place. Take the time, read the lessons and be willing to better yourself. I called in twice to ask questions and both times I had no wait time and the representative I spoke with was more than willing to help and answer my questions. They didn't make me feel like I was bothering them at all by calling in. I would recommend them to anyone and if need be (hopefully that is not the case) I will absolutely use their services again. Amazing customer service, and respond in a timely manner with any questions that you need answered or even just a check in to remind you if you haven't signed in to do any hours for a couple days. Beyond great idea for for people that can't get out to do their community service because sometimes life does get busy and this is something where they can fall back on while getting home from the outside life. And the the topics with the questions honestly some of them can make you truly think about some of the decisions you have made in your life, and reflect on the things you have done. It also gives you the option to review other peoples work, which i love doing but you can also see who takes their time and puts their effort in and who def doesn't care how they answer their questions. This is such a valuable tool for individuals like myself who got into legal trouble and require community service hours to complete court supervisions! Not only does it make juggling a full-time job and family life easier for me to be involved in, it allows me to get the service in when I do have 5 to 10 minutes in a day to spare!
