Wow! Just WOW! First time in and was treated like a Queen. I was casually browsing the deli selection - yes- fresh human looking food but for pets and a gentleman who worked there took me on a tour. I saw the grooming space, run around room for pets and the retail space. They've put so much thought into this experience. Wide aisles so human and pets with humans have room to shop, a separate entrance for those who are a little more fearful or stressed and want to bypass the shopping and head straight into the salon, and I can't say enough about the staff! They know their products, love pets and have master's degrees in customer service. I left with 2 toys and a bully stick for my Yorkie Bo - wish I was going straight home so I could get some of the fresh food and super cool cakes. read more

Went here to check out the selection for dog food and their self service grooming suites and bark room. I just want to say wow... This business thought of everything. They don't have stuff like this east - we're spoiled to have a one stop shop for food, treats, toys, fun apparel ... grooming and room rental. My Naperville friends are jealous! Review for new grooming service I like the store and staff help for my puppy so decided to give try to new grooming service they offered. It was cruality free, so I felt really good about it. When I left my mixed doodle for grooming, my clear instructions were that I do not want to do summer cuts. Since it's his first time here, I would like to keep him fluffy. My puppy is 18 months old and extremely food motivated. So I told groomer it would be helpful. When I came to pick him up after 2.5 hr, he was completely shaved. I told her I was not happy. She told me he was jumpy and matted, so I did this. When I went back home, I saw redness around his armpits and sensitive area. Also, she went too close around his one eye. Cuttings were uneven everywhere. I sent his pics to the vet, and they wanted to see him. So the next day, I had a vet visit where they prescribed an ointment Tremont for a week and told us to avoid any roughness around those area. So when I called back groomer to give this feedback, she was putting this on his matted fur. One point she makes my puppy obedient, and sometimes he is jumpy. I told her that if she felt this way, she would not call me. And you can not cut him even if you give a summer cut. Her response was to set up the next appointment soon and will tech me how to brush my dog. For an overpriced service and with vet cost, I told her this is really bad service and would not come again. read more

I've been going to Wet Nose since we moved to the western suburbs (2010). They also have bathrooms, dog washing stations, training, and party rooms, and options for having your dog groomed by their staff. I thought this place was really cute, well organized and great customer service. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The only reason I docked a star personally is because this place is just straight up out of my tax bracket lol. I got two assortments of 5 treats from their bakery for my pups for Christmas, so 10 items in total - 4 peanut butter cups (which are the size of mini Reese's peanut butter cups for reference), 4 rice Krispy treats, a gingerbread cookie, & a "donut" & it was $58!! I'm sure my dogs will really enjoy them but to me, that price is outrageous. I didn't know until I got to the register how much they cost because there's no prices listed in the case (I really think they should put prices in front of the items in the case), and by that point they already packaged them, so I wasn't going to ask them to put them back. I really liked this place & I'm sure I'll be back but not to the bakery part unfortunately! read more

I love coming here because I always know that the treats that I picked up for my dog will be of high quality in the ingredients that they use. My dog loves the bully sticks that are almost the size of her! I just picked up some woof waffle treats too. The staff are always friendly and I love when they sometimes have sales on treats too. I decided to stop by here because it was right next to the nail salon I had just visited, and it was worth it! The staff was so nice. They greeted me as I walked in and asked if they could help me find anything. One of the employees was able to recommend a product that added more fiber to my dog's meal and would help with digestion. Kate Spade is to me as Wet Nose is to my pup Stella. Ya dig? This place is a such a gem. If you love your dog and love to pamper them with the best products then Wet Nose is where it's at. They sell quality food, bones, toys, and everything in between. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The woman who was helping me made suggestions on bully sticks, explained the different Antlers, informed me on the collars I was looking at, and even let me know they have a Wet Nose location in Geneva which is closer to my house! My rating for Wet Nose is really a 4.5 and the only reason I can't give it a full 5 stars is because of the price. I saw an adorable pink collar with a bow that I would have loved to get for my Stella but it was $52. You read right....5-2. That is outrageous to me. I was told it was hand made, but still that's steep. Everything else was pretty pricey as well. I mean I know the quality is definitely there, but I just can't justify some of the prices. I ended up finding a great 12 inch bully stick for only $5 though and my dog loved it! This is one of my favorite places to go for doggy-stuff. The only reason I can't make it there more often is that it's so far away for me! The owner is what makes this store so fabulous. She is REALLY on her game and informed about RAW food diet, and has provided invaluable advice. She seems really genuine, and comes across as being in this business for the betterment of our dogs. Besides the hard-to-find RAW dog food, they have really cute boutique-style shopping: Leashes, harnesses, clothing, beds, dog-carriers, etc... GREAT stuff. This place just makes me (and my dogs) happy. They are a bit expensive, but I don't think they're that much more expensive than any other dog-boutique. This is the larger of the 2 stores and carries more stock, so I prefer to go to this location, but if not the other one is still fabulous. read more

Love this place! My dog Drus and I found it while visiting my sister in Elgin. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Drus is shy but he warmed right up to them! I mostly went to buy cute collars (my addiction) and was not disappointed! Such a lovely and charming store in Geneva Commons. Wet Nose is owned by a couple who just happen to love animals. They are very focused on the health of animals...not just the cute little outfits and toys. Please do not get me wrong, they have all the cute outfits and toys for your favorite furry friend, but they also carry healthy diet foods and raw bones for dental care and other organic and healthy treats. The employees and owners are very nice and willing to answer any questions they can about pet care. Atmosphere is clean and whimsical and friendly. read more

We've been longtime visitors of Wet Nose and always have a good experience. Our pets are always welcome and lavished with attention and TLC. I've seen many of the products on the shelves here that I've received in my Barkbox subscriptions prior. It makes me feel good knowing that I receive high end products for my pets, and I know where to get them again. Always a great selection of pet products and accessories. Recently my Dad and I went here with his new Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, Ernie. Ernie was a little unsure upon walking in (that could just be getting used to leash training though) but was quickly won over with the showering of treats. I purchased the Cann-biscuits for my friends dog back home in VA. She is a chihuahua who suffers from terrible anxiety, and the biscuits are a wonderful medium to help ease her stress as her and her family prepare to move across the country. I took my fur baby in here the other day for the first time, and we were both quite overwhelmed with all the great stuff! He was sniffing out the great selection of chewies and I was busy looking at the great selection of toys and dog-lover trinkets. They have the cutest leopard-print doggie items right now! While the place might be a little "pricey", they have a unique selection of stuff, and honestly, as far as pet boutiques go, I would say it's normal. First off, to address people's complaints of it being more expensive - it is...but you certainly get what you pay for in this case. The food, toys, sweaters/clothing are top notch quality in every way. Also, econ 101: An upscale, specialty "mom and pop" boutique located in a wealthy suburb doesn't run on the same business model as Whole Foods or Petsmart. They're not a volume business like a big box store and they have to compete. Same reason your local hardware store is more expensive than Home Depot. I understand if you don't want to pay higher prices...but there's a reason it's that way and it's not to screw you over because they're greedy. They have to price higher and hope to win your loyalty by being attentive, warm, and having a great product. In this, Wet Nose delivers in spades. The staff is very, very knowledgeable and will ask you very specific questions about your dog and your concerns for it when recommending food options. They will always order anything for you. If you learn the history of why the owners opened the store, you'll understand why the staff is also so passionate and friendly. They are also very ethical - they will immediately cease carrying any products that have any QC problems or legal/ethical problems. My dog just loves coming here, she gets totally spoiled with attention and I am 100% convinced that they have your dog's best interests at heart. I cannot say enough about this store, it is about a 1 hour drive but so worth it!!! The people are outstanding, they always remember Clyde's name. not trying to sell things, just have a true love for animals. Can't wait to go back, which will be next Wednesday. Love this boutique, just like the ones in California without the LA prices. Great items at great prices plus I love the loyalty program! Everything I was looking for, for my dogs and only place I have been able to find catnip balls for my cats. Plus great staff. I was kind of ignored once when there was a very obvious "oakbrook" woman asking about the pricey dog beds. ( I am from Downers Grove was only 21 and dont feel it is necessary to dress up to run errands. The mood was immediately changed when I asked if I could set over $200 of stuff down on the counter as I continued to shop. This was the only time my experience was less than perfect though. Since I'm a pretty obsessed dog mom, I signed my pups up for Bears pictures that were being taken at their daycare. I wanted them to rock some Bears swag in their pics, so I was on the hunt for some kind of shirt or bandana for them to wear. I went to Petco assuming they might have something, but no. I had seen an ad for Wet Nose in a local magazine and knew they had a location in Oak Brook, even though I'd never seen it. Turns out, they're in the Oak Brook "promenade," a group of businesses along Butterfield, before you get to Yorktown Mall if you're going west. It was Monday evening, so there weren't any customers in at the time. The shop is small but cute. There's tons of stuff for you to spoil your dog: hip collars and leashes, beds, blankets, specialty foods, toys, etc. I asked the woman on duty if they had any Bears bandanas and sure enough, she led me right to them! She even helped me figure out what sizes to get (which is harder than you think when you have a 20 pound Pekingese). Yes, they were a little pricey for bandanas but I was in a crunch and I spoil my dogs more than I ever spoil myself, so I accepted it. They even wrap your purchases all nice and gift-like. When I have more time, I'll likely stop by again and peruse the store a bit more. It's the kind of place that caters to crazy dog parents like me, so I know I won't feel judged if I buy my fur babies a dog blanket or something. I mean, what were the chances I was going to find a Bears bandana here, at this small shop? But of course they had it, because they know what silly stuff you're going to want to give your pets, and I love them for that. read more

Probably one of the best pet stores in the area. Most of the food is top rated on dogfoodadvisor.com, all the toys we've bought for our dog have held up well. Yes the prices are a little bit more but I prefer to give my dollars to local owners rather than large pet store chains that source most of their products from China. My favorite pet boutique in the world. They are beyond friendly, passionate, and truly care about what they do. My puppy was having a hard time adjusting to her new diet, and I spoke w/the owner who took 10 minutes discussing alternatives, writing out a plan for transitioning her to her new diet, and I feel totally confident that they are 100% behind every product they carry. High quality treats, food, toys, and a variety of bully sticks/ropes/antlers/etc. Basically it's a mecca of what's best for your pet. Sophie (my puppy) didn't want to leave and sat outside the window looking in sadly after I dragged her out. Them is store is outstanding... Great customer service and employees!!! Make sure too bring your dog and them pick their own treats... it's a surprisingly entertaining how picky your pet maybe. They will let your dog try everything before you buy. We take our dog here every Xmas and for his birthday. It is a bit pricey but definately worth it. read more

We have large dogs (i.e. 200 lb +) with suspected poultry allergies. We have a regular place near us we get food however decided to stop in here on a wim to see about chew toys for aggressive chewers. We were able to find bison horns that our dogs love at a very reasonable price. We also are always looking to be able to offer our dogs a variety fod wise but the challenge is not to mess with their systems. We left with samples that our dogs love and ended up buying a few more bags and will be putting this food in rotation with our other brand, which they also carry. Stopped in after running an errand and we happened to have our pup. Place looks like a higher end dog boutique shop, so I was a bit apprehensive. We were warmly greeted, and our little girl was the center of attention from the get go. Can't remember the name of the employee, but she was very friendly. Having been in retail sales, it is a delicate line between being inquisitive, helpful, educational and bothersome. She did a wonderful job of explaining the benefits of a non grain diet and showed us some great and affordable options. Another shock was finding some of the specialty bones we would buy at a place like PetSmart for the same price. Once we move to the area I believe my wife and I will definitely be coming back and giving the non grain food options a shot. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Wet Nose!!! The staff is extremely knowledgeable, they know their animals and how to keep them healthy. Recently I had a lot of questions about going grain free with my pups and was directed to try a specific brand that was right in the price range I was looking for. I appreciated that they took the time to listen to what I was looking for and DIDN'T try and talk me into a more expensive brand than I wanted. Their range of chews for dogs is very extensive and affordable...the toys and clothing are very cute and fun and change seasonally. I am also a big fan of the variety of collars that are available, it makes my pups look oh so fancy :) I also love that any time I bring my dogs in with me, the staff goes out of their way to greet them and play with them...it's the little things that make you appreciate a place :) read more
