I was actually looking for the "perfect" workout. I have old injuries and so I couldn't just sign up for a rowing class or programs like orange theory that I was re-injuring myself during these intensive workouts. I didn't go to physical therapy because it wasn't a workout. So when I found this place, I tried it just to try it out. I was athletic at one point in my youth and then I got injured and then I got older. Haha. But this place made it easy to come in... use different equipments that they mix up each week and before I knew it, I kept going, my muscles were sore, I was getting stronger, I was rehabilitating myself without the pressure of keeping up with others. I kept coming back and it felt good to do something for those old injuries and unused muscles. Now I signed up for the year and I initially started with the 3 month plan. I have tried every workout for the past 40 years. All the newest and best trends and have been very consistent. I have maintained a healthy weight and great muscle tone even through having four kids. As I've gotten older I didn't want to be so hard on my body and started to take out kickboxing and other strenuous activities. I started working out with Ani at the Perfect Workout because I wanted to increase my core strength to protect myself from injury. When I started I wasn't doing a lot of exercise and the perfect workout was a really great on ramp to get back into working on me. I notice such a difference in how my body feels and in my posture. This is the best exercise program, period, for busy professionals. You are in and out in 30 minutes and although your muscles are wiped, you aren't sweaty and can get on with your day. I've been coming here for about 9 months now. After a bout with cancer and a year of chemo and radiation I just could t get my strength and muscle tone back. I love to ski but just couldn't get enough strength back to enjoy a day on the slopes. I heard about the Perfect Workout and gave it a try. I loved the workout but it was a little annoying at first because I kept having a different trainer. After a few workouts I was paired with Ani and I've worked with her ever since. She pushes me hard but I definitely have seen big results. It is recommended that you go twice a week but I only go once a week. It only takes 20 minutes and is so worth it! The Perfect Workout has been a life changing workout program for me, focusing on building core strength and increasing bone density. I no longer go to physical therapy but go the Perfect Workout 2X week for only 20 minutes to achieve much better results and progress. Its the toughest workout I've ever done but I have lost many inches and toned my body Ani, Althea and Holly really understand the physiology and they make the program even better. I would recommend everyone to try this once especially if you are frustrated with not seeing results exercising at conventional gym. I feel better and look better in my 60s than when I was in my 40s. The perfect workout is a great way to tone up and feel strong. You come in feeling blah and you go out feeling great. The trainers are all professional and are well informed. I recommended this gym to my husband and he is also now a client. I found that my body really reacted well to the program and I was able to climb the stairs and lift heavy grocery bags with more ease then I had before I started with the Perfect Workout. I happen to have problems with my joints and this workout really gives me what I need to be in the best shape possible. I've been working out at the Perfect Workout for just over a month and have definitely gained some strength. I was initially attracted to the idea of HIT strength training from Dr. Doug McGuff's book, BODY BY SCIENCE: A RESEARCH BASED PROGRAM TO GET THE RESULTS YOU WANT IN 12 MINUTES A WEEK, and was surprised to find a program with that same philosophy so close to home! So far, I've been training with Zach and Kristin. They have been very helpful and supportive and are highly knowledgeable about what they do. I've also heard great things about Ani though I've never trained with her personally. The workouts are designed to achieve maximal results in 20 mins per workout, once or twice a week, so it's easy to maintain this workout regime on a busy schedule. When I was researching the program, I noticed that they used Nautilus machines, which are the kind McGuff highly recommended in his book. The machines make use of the muscles' strength curves, so that in a bicep curl, for instance, you receive the least resistance at the beginning of the movement, where that muscle is the weakest, to the most resistance at other points where your bicep is at its strongest. These strength curve profiles were patented by their creator, Arthur Jones, so it's hard for other brand-name machines to imitate the accuracy of these machines on the muscle. I highly recommend the Perfect Workout to anybody who wants to 'hack' their workout by working more intensely for a fewer amount of days per week and improve their overall physique. read more

I was a member at Equinox where I worked with a trainer and could never get any real results despite regular workouts. I just thought I would give the Perfect Workout a try, and after 6 months of one 20-minute workout per week, I can hardly believe that I have gained 5-7 lbs of muscle - this program really works! The Perfect Workout is amazing. I started in November of 2015 to get in shape for a family trip to Europe in the spring. By May I had lost 15 lbs. and 13"! Since then I have lost another 5 lbs. and I am planning on losing 15 more. It isn't easy but my trainer, Lauren, is great - positive and encouraging getting me to do more than I thought I could.
