This hotel is a fantastic stay. I loved the gym, the pool and the balcony. We got a free upgrade and the room was huge. The bathroom/shower was huge and felt newly renovated. The location is great!

I stayed at the Perry Hotel & Marina for about a week and I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is modern, spacious, and elegant. The room was a decent size and had beautiful views overlooking the pool and over the marina. The bed was comfortable. Daily room cleaning was professional. The hotel has a number of restaurants and bars, two pool areas, and even an ice cream shop. They have a shuttle that takes you into downtown key west and picks you up there. The shuttle leaves on the hour and picks up on the half hour. The reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 are as follows: 1) the gym is a bit of a joke. It's just a few treadmills and no other real equipment for weight training. I don't think it should be advertised as a gym (maybe more of a cardio space). 2. The rooms need better soundproofing - I could hear everyone going up and down the hall way talking. Thankfully I wasn't woken up, but still surprised at that. 3. I was not happy that they decided to power wash the outside floors at peak pool time. It was extremely noisy. I know that it's not done every day, but seriously, pick a better time to do it. So, all in all, I enjoyed my stay, was impressed with the hotel, and I would go back for another visit. Matt's was excellent for breakfast.

Due to an emergency while on a cruise, I needed to find a hotel during high season and either the beginning of spring break or the end of Presidents' Day weekend. There were very few hotels available at such short notice. When I made the reservation over the phone, the reservationist was terrific. I believe she gave me a discount for the three nights. The entrance is very welcoming and warm and Kathryn at the front desk was so alive and bubbly. She could give lessons to front desk personnel, most anywhere you could tell she loved her job. My room had a king size bed, and a view of a building, but it was spacious. I'll never understand why directions to use the in room thermostats are not posted. I never could get the room warm enough for me. The bathroom and shower were spacious but regulating the shower took some time. I would have liked the menu for the in-house restaurant posted in the room. The door Do Not Disturb signs are flimsy and continually fell off. Three great meals at Matt's Stock Island Restaurant. Good poolside drinks from The adjacent Salty Oyster. I appreciated our server noting that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. For breakfast on two different days, I had the avocado toast. It is unlike any other avocado toast I've had and I highly recommend. Dinner one evening was Shrimp and Grits! My first time having grits. The grits were surrounded by I believe ratatouille delicious. I would definitely recommend the Perry Hotel.

The hotel is great - a few little quirks where it could be nicer for how much we paid (dusty room, semi-rundown couch, rushed paint job). Unfortunately, the poolside suite with service is not worth it - the waitress was nice but service was very slow. The Mahi Mahi sandwich was unbelievably dry and fishy. The shrimp po boy was disappointing and fishy too. Overall, we'd come again, but skip any sort of room service or fancy upgrades - they're not worth the expense.

What a beautiful hotel! Located in stock island just before key west. Far away from the crowd, but close enough to get to all of the destinations. Thankfully, we found this hotel after our Airbnb was canceled last minute. With most other hotels booked for same day check in in Key West during spring break , they were able to accommodate our family with two nights and the third in a different room. I was perfectly fine with that. The backyard is largest marina in the south, with deep clear water it makes for a sight to see on our morning walks. There are 2 restaurants on site , a bar and game area with shuffle board, monopoly, chess, and much more . Shuttle runs every hour to key west. We ate brunch at Matt's stock island kitchen all 3 days and it was delectable, prices are higher and tips are automatically included , but service was outstanding so no complaints there. The rooms itself are clean and spacious . Our first 2 nights we had a King suite with sofa pullout bed , bathroom has large walk in shower with upgraded delta faucets. The 2 queen beds room is a bit smaller in sq footage , but the outdoor patio space with dining table and rinsing station makes up for it. Water pressure in the showers are strong which makes a big difference with outdoors activities all day. Beds are comfortable pillow could be a tad softer . Pool is advertised as heated , we didn't get to use the pool on this trip but it was always clean and not crowded. Only Downside is the Wi-Fi does not work very well here. We cannot connect to the kids iPad or Alexa devices for those downtime moments. Some of my calls were dropped as well l Overall we had an enjoyable experience and would return for our annual trip . After the stressful Airbnb cancellation which left us homeless while on vacation, I would never use it again. Our room number was my daughters birthday, 307, the reason we were traveling here , so no doubt this all worked out and someone from above is blessing us.

You would never know this is one of the most beautiful hotels in the Keys as it's nestled and hidden within an industrial part of town down at the end of "Shrimp road". The hotel lobby is an inviting space with several games for families to play including shuffle board, chess, and dice. It leads to a bar area and restaurant, Matt's stock island, which is a must to eat at even if you're not staying at the hotel. Grab brunch here and order the southern Benedict, poached eggs with bacon on fried green tomatoes and a biscuit. Yum! The restaurant overlooks the pool and marina. The hotel is beautifully decorated and all the employees are very friendly. Sarah is one of the sweetest front desk attendants you'll meet there. The surrounding area has other great places to eat at that area, all within walking distance of the hotel, including Little Dippers, a cute little Cafe to grab gelato!

What a beautiful resort! Rooms are updated, clean and large. Our view was of the marina. I cannot stress enough how great the shower is! Very large with a nice ledge you can sit on. Bed is comfortable and plenty of room to spread out. Quite a few restaurants on resort. Only negative is no coffee in the lobby. You have to order at restaurants or down block at coffee shop which only has one person working and a very long wait. Great location and dog friendly! This will be our new go to place on the island.

The best hotel experience! You may think you want to stay near the beach but this is the place you need to be! You are away from the business of the tourism here, from the time we checked in to when we left.. a quiet tranquil experience.. the pool was very nice, warm temperature in the evening, and cool in the afternoon! The room was modern elegance and exceptionally clean! The view we had was beautiful and we upgraded to a lower level room and we're able to walk out to the pool! They have a restaurant on site that is phenomenal for breakfast and an outside bar area that also serves food! We walked the marina during the morning before going to the downtown Key West area!

Ask the Community - The Perry Hotel & Marina

Does the hotel allow marina guests in the pool? A few hotels downtown allow bar patrons in the pool and they get crowded

Yes- we stayed on a boat in the marina and was able to use the pool and eat at the bar. But now that they have 2 pools it isn't really too crowded

Can you walk to other restaurants (Hogfish) from The Perry?

More than a walk than I'm willing to take. They have a shuttle that takes you to the Duval area

Is there a spa at The Perry or options for spa services?

Absolutely nothing.

Is the pool heated? Us Floridians get cold easily...

It sure is, beautiful pool, we didn't want to leave the hotel the whole time we were there!!

I will be staying at the Perry this weekend for 5 nights and was wondering if the rooms have mini refrigerators and if there is room service available?

Yes they have mini refrigerators in the rooms as well as room service. I hope you have a wonderful stay.

How is the food at the perry hotel? thoughts? recommendations? Can we get frozen drinks poolside?

Hey Michael. We recently stayed there the food is excellent. There is a poolside bar. They have all kinds of frozen drink options.

Front desk manager is clueless and don't know how to handle issues and he has kids working for him who do not know how to handle anything. They are like teenagers. We wish we had checked out and stayed at Marquesa hotel instead. But everyone was at the same hotel for the weekend so we stuck it out. For the price point, ones expectations are commensurate and this place was not even in the same universe as other hotels charging the same rate. The hotel is right on the water but in key west, the same can also be said for a gas station. Right away you know there's a problem because the elevator to reception smells like rotting seaweed (sargassum). The reception area seems like a guest room that was adapted and its small and dark and doesn't work. Then you get to the guest rooms from the year 1985 with chair railing and crown molding that has never seen a magic eraser in its life. Covered in 40 years of dust and who knows what else. The blinds have never been dusted or replaced in 40 years. Are you getting the picture? The head board had mystery smears on it. Floors were filthy with 40 years of accumulated dust. We dared not step one toe into the murky pool. We watched as guests sat there for hours, drink after drink, and never got out. Not even to use the bathroom? Ewwww. Every day the streets flood with high tide and poor civil planning so coming and going from the hotel means wading in ankle deep water and probably sewage, which is probably why the elevator smells so terribly. No wonder all the associates there seem so sad. I would be too if I worked there. I was sad for the resources and time spent here that I wont get back.
