Really pricey but great place. Beware when you make reservations. Quoted room price seemed lower than others in the area but add-ons for resort fees, taxes etc., really increased the price. Parking $25/day but that was waived, based on some package I unknowingly bought. But it's a lovely place. The decor has a simple, but grand/upscale, modern feel. Basic room's balcony looks out on Shrimp Road which is hot in the evening but has a good sunset view. Can be slightly noisy at times. It's cooler and shaded in the the morning. More expensive rooms face the pool and harbor. You need to understand the times... coffee in the lobby from 6-8 am (too early) happy hours for both eateries (start at 4 or 5 pm). Two eateries are on-site (Matt's Stock Island is a very expensive restaurant and Salty Oyster is also pricey but more casual, outdoor bar with lite menu). Depending on package, you may get $25/day food allowance. Go at happy hour to save more. This hotel has a great shuttle to town, every hour. It's about 5 miles away from Duvall St. so ebikes are great for this location. Parking is not easy so avoid car in old town. read more

Very nice looking hotel with friendly staff. Hotel is almost 10 years old and I felt like the rooms (bathroom especially) are in need of a facelift. The barn door is grimey from all the use and doesn't block out the sound or light (not much privacy). We had an amazing view of the marina. Bar was fun, great happy hour. Food was just ok. Inside bar was convenient at night although they close at 10 pm on the dot even though there were patrons still enjoying time there (us included). Very pricey hotel with a steep resort fee of $60 (not sure what they paid for) but the view and location are great if you're visiting Stock Island. read more

Very beautiful hotel that charges resort prices. The lobby, gift shop and bar are all very nice. The view on the marina side is beautiful, seeing all the boats coming in and out is nice. Unfortunately our view was from the other side of the hotel and all we could see is the back road and trees from like 50 feet away. The bathrooms need a ton of work. The shower door doesn't close all the way so water trips onto the floor the whole time you showed. The bathroom door itself isn't level so you can see in and out while it's shut. If the price was about half of what we paid I'd say it was ok. The pool is on the small side for this type of hotel. read more

I stayed at the Perry Hotel & Marina for about a week and I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is modern, spacious, and elegant. The room was a decent size and had beautiful views overlooking the pool and over the marina. The bed was comfortable. Daily room cleaning was professional. The hotel has a number of restaurants and bars, two pool areas, and even an ice cream shop. They have a shuttle that takes you into downtown key west and picks you up there. The shuttle leaves on the hour and picks up on the half hour. The reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 are as follows: 1) the gym is a bit of a joke. It's just a few treadmills and no other real equipment for weight training. I don't think it should be advertised as a gym (maybe more of a cardio space). 2. The rooms need better soundproofing - I could hear everyone going up and down the hall way talking. Thankfully I wasn't woken up, but still surprised at that. 3. I was not happy that they decided to power wash the outside floors at peak pool time. It was extremely noisy. I know that it's not done every day, but seriously, pick a better time to do it. So, all in all, I enjoyed my stay, was impressed with the hotel, and I would go back for another visit. Matt's was excellent for breakfast. read more

Very pricey, but beautiful hotel. The daily resort fee of $52 AND parking fee of $29 is quite steep when your bill comes due. Very quiet and comfortable. However, I had issues with a front desk person when checking out. She had quite a miserable attitude from the beginning. She appeared bothered to have to help me check out at 6am at the front desk. The hotel phone rang, and that really irritated her. That was a bit much. Not friendly at all. Wouldn't want to deal with her again. The on-site restaurant, Matt's Stock Island restaurant was mid at best. The food was nothing to write home about, quite overpriced and the service was less than stellar. Would I stay there again or recommend? No. But to each their own. This is just a realistic review. read more

Due to an emergency while on a cruise, I needed to find a hotel during high season and either the beginning of spring break or the end of Presidents' Day weekend. There were very few hotels available at such short notice. When I made the reservation over the phone, the reservationist was terrific. I believe she gave me a discount for the three nights. The entrance is very welcoming and warm and Kathryn at the front desk was so alive and bubbly. She could give lessons to front desk personnel, most anywhere you could tell she loved her job. My room had a king size bed, and a view of a building, but it was spacious. I'll never understand why directions to use the in room thermostats are not posted. I never could get the room warm enough for me. The bathroom and shower were spacious but regulating the shower took some time. I would have liked the menu for the in-house restaurant posted in the room. The door Do Not Disturb signs are flimsy and continually fell off. Three great meals at Matt's Stock Island Restaurant. Good poolside drinks from The adjacent Salty Oyster. I appreciated our server noting that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. For breakfast on two different days, I had the avocado toast. It is unlike any other avocado toast I've had and I highly recommend. Dinner one evening was Shrimp and Grits! My first time having grits. The grits were surrounded by I believe ratatouille delicious. I would definitely recommend the Perry Hotel. read more

The hotel is great - a few little quirks where it could be nicer for how much we paid (dusty room, semi-rundown couch, rushed paint job). What a beautiful hotel! Located in stock island just before key west. Far away from the crowd, but close enough to get to all of the destinations. Thankfully, we found this hotel after our Airbnb was canceled last minute. With most other hotels booked for same day check in in Key West during spring break , they were able to accommodate our family with two nights and the third in a different room. I was perfectly fine with that. The backyard is largest marina in the south, with deep clear water it makes for a sight to see on our morning walks. There are 2 restaurants on site , a bar and game area with shuffle board, monopoly, chess, and much more . Shuttle runs every hour to key west. We ate brunch at Matt's stock island kitchen all 3 days and it was delectable, prices are higher and tips are automatically included , but service was outstanding so no complaints there. The rooms itself are clean and spacious . Our first 2 nights we had a King suite with sofa pullout bed , bathroom has large walk in shower with upgraded delta faucets. The 2 queen beds room is a bit smaller in sq footage , but the outdoor patio space with dining table and rinsing station makes up for it. Water pressure in the showers are strong which makes a big difference with outdoors activities all day. Beds are comfortable pillow could be a tad softer . Pool is advertised as heated , we didn't get to use the pool on this trip but it was always clean and not crowded. Only Downside is the Wi-Fi does not work very well here. We cannot connect to the kids iPad or Alexa devices for those downtime moments. Some of my calls were dropped as well l Overall we had an enjoyable experience and would return for our annual trip . After the stressful Airbnb cancellation which left us homeless while on vacation, I would never use it again. Stayed at the Perry Hotel in Key West April 5-10 and our stay was great! Room was nice and big and it was very relaxing sitting on our 3rd floor balcony in the evenings watching the sunsets with our doggo. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We love hotels where our dog is as welcome as we are. We ate at both Matt's Stock Island Kitchen and had drinks, apps, and desserts at The Salty Oyster. The food was great and you sure couldn't beat the marina views. Having an onsite dog park was a godsend as was the onsite level 2 EV charging. Pool was clean and very inviting. We only wish we could have stayed longer and are looking forward to returning. read more

You would never know this is one of the most beautiful hotels in the Keys as it's nestled and hidden within an industrial part of town down at the end of "Shrimp road". The hotel lobby is an inviting space with several games for families to play including shuffle board, chess, and dice. It leads to a bar area and restaurant, Matt's stock island, which is a must to eat at even if you're not staying at the hotel. Grab brunch here and order the southern Benedict, poached eggs with bacon on fried green tomatoes and a biscuit. Yum! The restaurant overlooks the pool and marina. The hotel is beautifully decorated and all the employees are very friendly. Sarah is one of the sweetest front desk attendants you'll meet there. What a beautiful resort! Rooms are updated, clean and large. Our view was of the marina. I cannot stress enough how great the shower is! Very large with a nice ledge you can sit on. Bed is comfortable and plenty of room to spread out. Quite a few restaurants on resort. Only negative is no coffee in the lobby. You have to order at restaurants or down block at coffee shop which only has one person working and a very long wait. Great location and dog friendly! My husband and I have visited twice in the last few months. We love everything about The Perry Hotel. The location is great. Short ride from the downtown area. If you do stay here, I would recommend renting a golf cart from the concierge (but not necessary). They do provide regular scheduled transportation to downtown Key West and back. The pool is absolutely amazing and nice after a day of exploring. During both stays, we ate at the restaurant multiple times- Friendly staff, great food and a laid back environment. You are away from the business of the tourism here, from the time we checked in to when we left.. a quiet tranquil experience.. the pool was very nice, warm temperature in the evening, and cool in the afternoon! The room was modern elegance and exceptionally clean! The view we had was beautiful and we upgraded to a lower level room and we're able to walk out to the pool! They have a restaurant on site that is phenomenal for breakfast and an outside bar area that also serves food! This hotel was great to stay at. We had a balcony overlooking the pool and marina. We ate at the hotel restaurant and had a great meal, although like most places in Key West it was very pricey. My suggestion is if you are staying there and want to rent scooters there is local place nearby that will bring you scooters for half the price of renting them from the hotel. There is also a shuttle bus we took from the hotel to Key West every day and night. It is expensive to park in Key and hard to find a spot if you do. The shuttle bus was a great option to have. It is not in the best location but we had no issues there. read more

Dont stay here if you need an accessible room. I recently had surgery and on a walker this place had my handicap room 20 rooms away from the elevator which is crazy. The doors in the rooms were difficult to navigate because they swung so wide their was little room for the walker to get around. The shower was a freaking joke. I laughed when we saw it. They could advertise as having the smallest shower in the keys. For $355/night I'd would've done better on a park bench and shower in the beach. The Beds were very low to the ground for some reason. The elevator made a weird noise like it needs maintenance. The pictures on the website are nicer than the hotel in person. The pool looks nice and it is on a marina which was cool to watch the moon rise at night. Also it's weird that these "nice" hotels dont have free breakfast. However the parking was free. Overall this place is a $120-$150/night hotel definitely not $355. Go somewhere else if you need an accessible room. read more

I love the Perry if you're looking for a quieter Key West experience, that you can enjoy with your dogs. This property is pet-friendly, a plus for bringing my dogs down to the Keys. There is also a great dog park by the outdoor bar, which makes the stay that much better. The staff has always been wonderful here, 10 minutes from Key West proper, and the shuttle is super easy to catch to/from Mallory Square. My husband and I had a nice time here during our short visit to key west. The highlight being how wonderfully accommodating the staff were. Some reasons for the missing star: Some rooms are rather loud and you can hear your neighbors talking and moving chairs. My husband and I were not there to party all night long like some other travelers so we requested a quieter room and staff were able to honor this request. The shuttle was great except for the fact it must have left from the pier 10 min early one day as we had already missed it when we arrived 8 min before the departure time. Problem solved though as the staff at the hotel did comp our Uber fee to get back to the resort. One last small inconvenience is that the complimentary shuttle doesn't start in the morning til 9 am. Unfortunate for an early bird like me. We ended up grabbing a ride share at 8am and it was fine. Some highlights of the Perry are the new facilities, warm pool, welcoming staff, and large rooms. My daughter got married last weekend in Key West last weekend and we had all of the guests (100 people - 52 rooms, yes, we were the majority of the hotel) stay at The Perry and thank God we did. We started our search for the perfect hotel late last year. We visited about a dozen different properties in Key West but eventually chose The Perry. We liked that the location, as it was just outside the hustle and bustle of downtown. It gave our guests a place to relax (pool area is spacious, clean & never a problem getting a chair poolside) and also a very quick drive downtown (Uber or hotel provides transportation). First the hotel - you walk into a beautiful lobby and the smell is amazing. Everyone commented how great the hotel smelled. The hotel is immaculate. From the lobby to the rooms to the grounds - spotless. You will see staff constantly cleaning the property. The rooms are large and well appointed. The bathrooms and showers are very large. All rooms have a balcony with a view. The restaurants and bars have great food and outstanding drinks. All were convenient meeting spots for the guests before and after our activities. It has a true resort feel. The staff is amazing and made the stay perfect. I travel for business and stay in hotels over 100 nights a year (primarily Marriott) and this is by far the best I have been treated at a hotel. My daughter coordinated all rooms and reservations with Sophia. She made the process easy for my daughter as she handled all changes and preferences. She took so much stress of my daughter. Johnny the concierge is great. Gave us fantastic recommendations (thank you for the catamaran sunset cruise suggestion for all the guests - amazing). Personally I had a lot of interactions with Chris the Asst Mgr. He went out of his way to make this stay memorable. He met us as soon as we walked in the door and checked in with me many times over the days to make sure that we, and all the guests, were happy. He genuinely wanted us to have a great time and made sure we did. A BIG thank you to Chris - the best!!! Sorry this review is so long and yet I still could write much more but I will summarize. This place is a little off the beaten path if you're visiting Key West, but offers a different, less hectic pace. Beware the resort fee of $47/day when booking, it's definitely not highlighted, but something that pretty much every place in Key West tacks on. Unrelated to the review, but this practice is ridiculous. Why not just have one charge for the room, instead of giving you a rate for part of your stay(the bed and shower?) Then charging separately at check out for the pool, parking and shuttle, beach towels, fitness center etc, it's all part of the hotel, why the deception? It's unnecessary and leaves a bad taste as you're leaving. But I digress.... We had a mixed experience with the rooms, our initial room had both a clogged shower and one of those adjoining doors, which meant our neighbors were incredibly loud, even before the sun set. Word to the wise, if you have an adjoining room and don't know the people who are next door, request a different room. We were able to get moved to another room, and had a pleasant experience from there. The rooms are modern, with nice amenities, and quite different from what you will find on Key West, especially at the same price point. The shuttle to Key West runs on the hour, and picks up on the half hour, which is nice, unless the driver decides to pick up and leave before the pickup time and you sit there waiting to no avail until you call the front desk and learn you have to wait till the next one, which is an hour away, which definitely happened. Here again, the service stepped in to help out, and the hotel covered the cost of our Uber back. The pool and marina are a nice touch, and offer a more tranquil setting to relax as the sun sets, And the resort fee includes parking if you have a car. All in all a reasonable experience, with the service exceedingly my expectations and making up for some of the other issues that arose, happy booking! read more

Been coming here since 2018 and it's had its ups and downs. One down was an oyster Covid casualty, there were no oysters at the Salty Oyster in 2021? I told them they needed to change the name or change the price.... This year in 2024 the rooms are beginning to show their age, the cost has skyrocketed and the property desperately needs a refresh. Would have been 5 stars in 2018 but no longer. Apparently the property has been sold and has a sister resort property called Oceans Edge not far away, we went there and checked it out, looks way better. If you like being a little away from the bustle of Duval St and enjoy the quiet calm it's become just OK, but view and location are great. The amenities of the hotel were phenomenal! They also rent bicycles, vespas, and has a van that brought me to Duval Street (with pick-up and drop-off times). The pool was romantic, and it overlooks the yacht club with a pool bar for signature drinks. Our room was the corner room on the top floor where the sunrise and sunsets were perfect. I am a clean freak, and the room was very clean! The sanitize room had full size the Shampoo/ Conditioner bottles, and the smell really relaxed me. I stayed at this little gem on Stock Island the last time I stayed in Key West and I absolutely loved it. The hotel is very hip and has won several design awards. I loved our room on the first floor from from which we could directly access the pool. Everyone with a baby and a stroller will appreciate this. Their pool was super nice and the attendants friendly. They even left it open longer when they saw that people were still enjoying themselves after 9pm. They rent cute little turquoise scooters which is great since the hotel is a bit far from all the Duval Street action. Additionally, there's a nice boutique onsite. The on-site restaurant Matt's Stick Island is beautiful and has delicious food and drinks. Can't wait to go back here! read more

My husband and I loved our room We were on the third floor overlooking the pool and marina. The room was clean, the beds and pillows were incredible--in fact it's the first time I've slept without neck pain in months! Housekeeping and desk clerks were very friendly. The only place we will stay when we are visiting the Keys! We stayed in the grand suite. Everything is clean, and modern here. They have two bars and a great restaurant called Matt's. It isn't so big that it's annoying to get around. The hotel provides a shuttle that takes you near Duval St. There are two clean pools on the property. It's a classy place, good for everyone. Our kids had a wonderful time. Special shout outs to Steve, the pool guy. Such a sweet man. Ladies, he's single and WONDERFUL lol. Regina, the pool waitress (she's the best). Amine is probably the sweetest, make anything happen bartender you'll know. Zack is another notable bartender. Super hilarious guy. Then there was a younger bartender, with tattoos. Place is beautiful. The room was clean and inviting. toiletries are top notch. Do have to wonder why the handicap accessible rooms are at the end of the hall though. Could use a chair, besides the desk chair that was in dire need of recovering. The seat was cracked so badly that pieces wound up on our clothes. Concierge Johnny is the best ever. His restaurant recommendations were outstanding, as were his recommendations on things to see. He got us booked on a sunset wine & cheese cruise that was amazing. Shuttle driver Ghost is outstanding. Gave us good directions on how to find the sights we wanted to visit, pointed out sights along the way. Front desk and housekeeping provided everything we requested. Fix-it man Jose is outstanding. All staff very friendly. Breakfast at Matt's was prompt and good, although a bit expensive. Salty Oyster has great sandwiches. When we checked in we were asked if we had a car. We said no. Imagine our surprise when checking out that we had been charged for a car. Did get that removed. Were a bit disappointed they didn't clean our rooms on our last night there and had to wait for towels. We like that there were restaurants to choose from but they were really expensive. It was our anniversary and the hotel had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room. Thanks! The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a view of the marina which was really cool with lots of yachts and sailboats. The two restaurants on site had good food and service. The pool was really nice but a bit small for the amount of guests. Parking was not an issue. The shuttle service to and from the action by Duval Street was really nice.
