Rod is absolutely the best and has become more than just an amazing groomer for my best friend Maui, the bengal cat--Rod has become family. You feel so warmly welcomed every time you step foot inside TPA. He runs an efficient shop, drop off before 10:30 and pickup ASAP after which is usually just a few hours or by closing time whichever is more convenient. He cares for these pets like they're his own and does a phenomenal job. Rod--don't be surprised if you get an invitation to holiday dinners this season, you truly make this world a better place, thank you my friend.

Absolutely the best Groomer on the west side maybe even on the planet! They never disappoint. We have been using them for more than 30 years, with multiple dogs that have always loved to go in there and looked forward to their visits. The personalized service, the knowing you and treating you like an old friend is so few and far between nowadays, and these guys never disappoint. Our new puppy was happy and adorable when we picked him up and I'm so glad to know that he will look forward to his visits for many years to come thank you so much for all your hard work over all these years and for all the quality and effort you put in! Charlie looks and feels like a million bucks !!

I recently moved here from Northern California and was nervous about trying a new groomer for my labradoodle who has been struggling with separation anxiety since the move. Pet Affaire came highly recommended from my neighbors and my initial call with Rodney was promising. I really appreciated Rodney's sensitivity to my pup Sage, and he looked handsome after his grooming appointment. Most telling is that Sage took a treat offered by Rodney when we were saying goodbye; Sage will not eat treats when he feels anxious. I feel confident that Sage was treated well by Rodney and his crew.

I've always groomed my own dogs, but when my foster dog developed a severely overgrown dewclaw which curled in a circle and threatened to puncture the pad, I decided to let a pro handle it. Two groomers told me to go to the vet for it. That sounded like several hundred dollars to do what a groomer would do, and probably them also suggesting a four figure surgery to remove the dewclaws. Walking by The Pet Affaire, I decided to drop in and met Rodney, who told me to come by the next morning with the dog. In about 10 minutes, a unfazed Rodney and his team did all his nails and cut back the problem dewclaw significantly, despite the Cujo-like antics of the (muzzled) dog. The price was super reasonable and the dog doesn't associate me with the unpleasant experience. Win-win. I love watching pros who know what they're doing, and this was a perfect example of that. Highly recommend this establishment and will be returning. read more

The nicest owner,who took time to ask exactly how I wanted my dog groomed. We discussed the 1" blade, long legs. Rounded face. Then he gave ny dog to groomer, Melvin! He shaved my beautiful dog, cut legs short face square and uneven. He did exactly the opposite of what I discussed? Why would I even trust these people again? So disappointed . Fantastic service! My sweet girl Lilly is a coil haired chihuahua and every 3 months needs a full cut to keep her hair in check and so she doesn't look homeless I've spent DOUBLE or more on other groomers and the cut wasn't even half as good. I have two dogs. My youngest is a very anxious shelter dog, so we weren't surprised when he got a few cuts the first time at this parlor. He was probably shaking making it difficult to cut. Understandable. But every single time after, he would come back with cuts, particularly on his little butt and he would lick it raw. We had to start taking him to different parlor to see if it still happened. Nope. Not a single cut at the new place, ever! Our oldest didn't seem to have an issue here. Just a few cuts once in a while and he didn't seem bothered. This time they cut him horrible on his penis and lower tummy. Huge red cuts and and a rash. Dogs can be very tricky to cut sometimes. But the fact that they can't properly give haircuts to two 14 pound dogs without hurting them is ridiculous. Shame on these people. read more

I would recommend this business to my closest family and friends! Rodney is fun, professional, and I felt so comfortable leaving my cat in their care. I was so lucky to find this place so close to my house. They answered the phone, were able to fit me in the next day, and did a great job. I don't know what else anyone could ask for. Took my wheaten/poodle mix puppy here for her first grooming. I was so nervous to leave her and that she'd come back looking like a completely different pup. Rodney listened to exactly what I wanted and when I came to pick her up a couple hours later I was so relieved to see my Sydney looking just as adorable as she did the day I got her. DON'T GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE. They clipped my dog's nail completely off. I didn't notice until I I got home and there were bloody paw prints all over the house. I understand accidents happy but when I called to report it they refused to take any responsibility or even consider that it could have happened there. read more

I've tried different groomers all around Los Angeles and Pet Affaire is the only one I go back to every time. My dog is never afraid or shaking when I bring her in. Groomers usually tell me that she hates the nail grinder, but at Pet Affaire there's no problem! She always looks great and sometimes I ask for something a little different and they always listen and give me the result I want! I've been taking my Sandee here for a few years now and she always gets a cute haircut! They are very caring friendly people who always make it a special day for my pooch. The price is right for a total grooming ($42) and i never worry about my doggy being held hostage all day at the groomer. The Pet Affaire rocks. I have recommended lots of people to this place. You made an angel pitbull rescue the happiest girl alive by making getting a bath far less traumatic than going to the groomer. From start to finish-- Luna and I were both dazzled. The staff member assisting me said she couldn't track him down and hadn't heard from him. I also asked why there were so many dogs waiting in cages, and she explained that grooming had started late that day. I understand that Halloween can be a busy night for people, but it felt irresponsible for the remaining staff not to anticipate that clients would still show up for their scheduled appointments. At a minimum, customers should have been notified in advance or offered a replacement groomer, rather than finding out after arriving. I had to leave and cancel appointments I had in anticipation of being able to be without my dog for few hrs which was a huge inconvenience.

It used to be well-run under the previous manager, Kirsten, but the quality of care has completely collapsed under the new management. In May 2025, our dog was returned to us with almost all of her food untouched. Initially they tried to give every excuse trying to explain the discrepancy. However after thousands in vet bills, the manager (Nan) eventually admitted she was likely fed the wrong food or not fed at all. We received a refund and were promised better oversight personally from Nan. In September 2025, despite our experience in May, during my wife's medical emergency, we boarded her for one night. She was returned to us yet again with her food untouched. Staff told us she had been fed, but after more health issues, the manager later confirmed on camera that she had not been fed at all. [Email w/ the admission in screenshot] This isn't a one-time mistake. It's clear neglect followed by dishonesty. No responsible pet owner should ever trust this facility again. Complaints have been filed with local authorities for violation of California Health and Safety Code §122383(d).

I know I have thanked you before for providing us with Bentley ( kennel name Red Baron) sadly last month he passed away after giving the honor of being him Mom and Dad for over 12 years. Red Baron was underweight with a hematoma on his tummy and thin wiry hair he was scared of men and rolled on his back or tried to hide when approached. Lots of love and care gave him the most beautiful thick wavy coat he filled out and we would get stopped all the time by people remarking 'what a handsome dog' ( so handsome we had DNA done he was yorkie cocker and pointer!) he never did anything wrong he came house-trained, he didn't lick or jump or beg only barked when someone was at the door and was gentle and calm, his best friend was the cat next door. I hadn't been to Pet Affaire in a long time because I had learned to groom my former poodle-mix rescue. When I did bring him there they always did a great job grooming him. I brought my current poodle-mix rescue to Pet Afffaire last week for the first time. I asked for a shave down and they did a really good job. My doggy is so happy with himself and his new haircut. I like that they shaved all areas as I had asked and as I requested, were careful not to get water in the ears. My current dog has some sensitive areas to touch due to an unknown reason from before I adopted him, so he is not as easy to work with as my last dog. They handled him just fine. Another great thing about Pet Affaire is if someone schedules their appointment for early pick-up, that means it is a 7:30 a.m. drop off and pick up is 9:00 a.m. Also if you happen to call in the morning, just leave a message and Rodney will call you back as soon as he gets a chance. Pet Affaire is the absolute BEST groomer i have ever found. Rodney and Frank have put together an amazing facility. the groomers are great and have been w/them for years and years. they are very accomodating regarding time - if i'm in a hurry and need my pooch sooner than later, they will try to make it happen. not only do they do a fabulous job on my dog, they are both great people and hugely amusing. highly recommend Pet Affiare. read more
