Five-star details: 1. Outstanding Communications. Melissa is always available, including by phone, text, and email. She does what she says she is going to do. We've spoken on the phone & Melissa has a great app which gives you updates and photos of your pet! 2. Genuine Caring. On our most recent trip, the weather got cold. Melissa's team members worked with us to turn on our well heater, ensure our pup was kept warm and cozy, and gave us detailed updates and photos. 3. Going Above & Beyond. Melissa called me about the cold weather to alert us in case we didn't know it was going to be below freezing and to ensure our pet was fully taken care of. Her team actually plays with your pet, spends real quality time, and ensures your pet feels loved. Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.

I love animals, but never had a dog since I'm super allergic and my mom was terrified of dogs while I was growing up. Fast forward to today when I take extra allergy meds and I am bossed around by a 25lb dog all day every day. I've gone full crazy dog lady! So, the love of my life, I mean my puppy. He's my new little love bug! He's as sweet as can be, but I knew he needed some training to be the best boy ever. I researched high and low to find a good fit for my pup and I. I went for "interviews" with several highly rated trainers in the area only to find out that they used shock collars, which I just could not do on my 10lb dog at the time. He's up to 25lbs now and I still can't imagine using a shock collar on him. After tons of searches, I finally found Karma Dog. It was love at first sight. We are currently doing the puppy kindergarten and the private training. Here's the scoop: -They responded to my emails so quickly! The other places I contacted took several days to respond. Karma always got back with me in a day or less. -Puppy Kindergarten is a bit hit with my little guy. He's loves playing with the other puppies and he's always tired afterwards from getting all of his energy out playing. He's gets to socialize and learn some good behaviors at the same time. Win win. -Kelly S. was our trainer. We did 5 private sessions with her and she is just amazing. She would have my little guy acting like a perfect gentleman within 5 minutes of arriving. She gave us the tools to teach him the good way of doing things. I wish I was a puppy whisperer like Kelly. I still have things to practice with my pup, but she definitely helped us get on the right path ASAP. -Kelly was also so great working with my whole family. She included my 9 year old daughter in all of her training sessions and had her practicing as much as me with the dog. My husband was working a lot, but when he was available, he was involved in the training as well. I loved that Kelly worked with all of us to help us all have a better relationship. -Everyone I have had contact with all seem to really, truly care about animals. You can tell they are animal people who only want to help, not just make money off of you. -It's super convenient and relatively inexpensive for the private lessons, especially compared to some of the other programs I looked at. If you have a pup that could learn a few manners, I would definitely recommend Karma Dog for you.

Puppy Kindergarten is great because not only do I get to practice new concepts with her, she gets some of her energy out by socializing with the other puppies! I look forward to taking her to her class every week, and ALWAYS learn something new. The private 90 minute in home session, was really worth the price of the entire package for me. Sara was our trainer and is SO knowledgable. She made me feel at ease with my questions, and concerns and I got to see my puppy interact in a way I've never seen before. It gave me a different perspective, and I was able to see how smart my puppy truly is. They really did go way above and beyond for us, adjusting to an ever changing situation as well as helping to make sure we had coverage in case something didn't go to plan. Monday through Friday they come over to our apartment while my fiance and I are at work to take they boys out on a walk and train them. We have seen huge improvements in the past few months since we began services with them. Not only do they take the time walk and train our pups, they also leave us a report on how they did daily in a green folder they provide. Overall I could not be happier. Finding Christina has eased our anxiety about using traditional kennels for our boarding needs. Our dogs have far less anxiety, as well as enjoy staying in the comfort of their own home. Sometimes we've used her for the normal pet sitting with visits throughout the day, but prefer her overnight care to ensure our pets are safe and sound throughout the night.
