Been here a few times now. They do a great job with grooming. My dog is well treated and enjoys his time. If you have a time constraint or want to pick up at a certain time, be sure to state that on the phone. They will meet your needs if you specify a pick up time or else your dog may wait until others are done and just hang out with the pack for 8 hours... not a bad thing, but maybe not what you want. Took my rescued Yorkie, Maggie Mae, to The Pet Spa and am so grateful for them! She hates to be brushed or have her paws messed with and they did such an amazing job with her. Dropped our miniature schnauzer off at 12 noon today and didn't pick him up until 7 pm!!!! WHY DOES IT TAKE 7 HOURS to groom a mini schnauzer???? They had plenty of excuses, but honestly, I just wanted my dog back after 7 hours! We will NOT be going back. The place is filthy and I just don't get a good vibe from it. I asked if they at least gave him water and gave him potty break. They assured me they did, but I have my doubts as he couldn't even wait until I paid before relieving himself (he pee'd on their front door). When we got home he took the biggest drink of water ever, so I doubt he had much water in the 7 hours he was there. read more

Awful place. I have been taking my dogs here for a while now and it takes about 9-11 hours each visit. This last time she called me and told me to come pick them up around 5 and then actually yelled at me for being early when I did. When I left and came back she then yelled at me for being 20 minutes late and that she had somewhere to be. Very rude lady. My dogs were always extremely scared and shaking coming home from here. Took my dog here for his first haircut. I told them to make it short. When I picked him up I noticed they cut the hair on his leg too too short that it cut the skin resulting in a quarter size bruise. Really? Also they sprayed this disgusting old man cologne on him which I had to wash off in the bath tub when I got home. Prices are cheaper than petsmart. Guess you get what you pay for. read more

I've been bringing my Doodle here for about two years. He has super tight curls and his hair seems to grow SO fast, so I'm scheduling an appointment at the Pet Spa about every 8 weeks. They do a good job and have called mid-appointment before just to check before they do something. My only complaint is that unless I specify a pickup time, they can take a really long time on Fridays or Saturdays when they get swamped (especially around holidays). I've learned to drop him off before work at 8 and tell them I need him done by 4pm on the way home. Super nice ladies and my dog seems to love playing with all the other clients! read more

In an effort to support local businesses we took our dog to The Pet Spa. The website states "We hope every interaction you have with us is easy, fun and helpful". I can safely say that from start to finish my interactions with the staff were none of those things. The staff was difficult to work with, rude, unhelpful, and condescending. This behavior was displayed in front of other customers as well. At drop-off I explicitly and repeatedly stated that we did not want our dog to be shaved, wanted shears to be used only and we wanted to keep his beautiful long top coat. I repeated this several times because I feared exactly what happened. We arrived to find a poorly cut short-haired dog. As he is a double doodle, his top coat will never grow back. I was polite in expressing my disappointment and instead of listening to my concerns was told that I did not research my dog before owning it, had no business speaking on the matter since she had groomed 100+ doodles before, and that our breeder, vet, and trainer had all provided us with incorrect information. A simple google search states that a double doodle has a double coat (top and bottom). Despite this fact, I requested my dogs hair to remain long. If this was a problem at the beginning for the groomer she should have communicated it to us and we would have sought other services. The website also states "Our goal is to thoroughly clean your pet, then give him or her the haircut you desire". I think you might want to change your website to reflect that you give dogs a haircut that YOU desire. Finally, the website states "On average, grooming a small dog takes about 4 hours". Our dog was there for over 7 1/2 hours (past closing time) with no apology for the inconvenience. While I am upset that my dogs hair was not cut the way we had expressed, I am more upset at the lack of customer service. At no point in time did the groomer even attempt to take responsibility for going against our wishes, offer any incentive to come back, or give us a partial refund. I will never be going back to this establishment and will not recommend this company to any of my fellow dog owners. read more

Eek! Methinks not is right. I hate posting bad reviews especially with local businesses. My first experience was not good and I honestly don't trust them to even try a second time. I'm very understanding with groomers and my pup because he can be timid and timid dogs are hard to work with. It took 7 hours until I was told to pick my dog up. I liked that the dogs roamed and played with each other although I'm sure some people might not like that. My dog had some mattes so I knew his hair would be cut short. I was told that my dog had a scab they did not see and when they shaved the hair, the scab came off. I was a little confused when told this because when my dog develops mattes I keep an eye on them almost daily (I know this is excessive, but I'm a worry wart) and there were no scabs. He has a pink belly and not much fur there. I couldn't see the cut when I was there cause it was low on his stomach and all I saw was yellow pastey stuff, so I thought it was maybe small. His hair looked fine...a little uneven but that didn't really bother me, it was $5 cheaper than originally was told. When I got home, my dog was shaking and wouldn't come near me or move from where he was sitting. I picked him up and laid him on his back to look at the cut and it was pretty bad looking. It was about half of an inch wide and a little longer in length. Once the paste was off it looked even worse. It was very deep and for a few days my dog looked like he was in pain. Now this isn't the end of the world but I felt like the owner or groomer kind of lied about cutting my dog because it was my first time there and I was already nervous and talked about it with her before taking my dog there. She was very nice. I would be understanding if someone was just honest and said they cut my dog but I don't feel like that was honest. How do you know it was a scab if you didn't see it in the first place? I don't know, them lying is my opinion obviously but I just didn't have a good experience or a good vibe. My dog also smelled fragranced and like cigarettes. If you smoke, you may not notice. But I don't live with any smokers and that's all I could smell. too many negatives out weighed the positives for me. I also did not contact the owner again because I don't want anything in return. I just wanted to share with others what can happen. A lot of people will go and not have any issues but if this happened to someone else, I'd wanna know. Also a month later he had scabs underneath the cut that looked like rug burned and it was dark red a few days after. Like some irritation from clippers or something. His stomach area was pink and clean looking with bright white hair before and now it's still brown and looks like it's healing. read more
