We traveled from Texas to Missouri primarily to see The Petersens but also to visit Branson as a family vacation. We discovered The Petersens through YouTube about six months ago, and our entire family has fallen in love with their music. We also adore who they appear to be as people. In person, they were just as genuine as they appear online. We very much enjoyed meeting them and seeing them perform. Our children go around the house singing Petersens songs. Well, maybe not just the children. It was a thrill for all of us to attend their show. There were new songs and pleasant surprises, but also enough familiar tunes that we love so much. There were also plenty of laughs. My wife pointed out to me later that the show ended up being an hour and forty-five minutes long. Wow! The time flew by. The musicianship, arrangements, and harmonies stand out to me more than anything. They are so good! Please go check out their show if you can. We saw The Petersen's at the IMAX Little Opry theater at an afternoon show. The venue was intimate (approx. 218 capacity) and the performance was great!! I highly recommend this family. Tight harmonies and quality bluegrass. We enjoyed the humor and sharing of their family experiences too. Excellent show! Their harmonies were very good. Wide selection of songs. Great to hear their story during the show. It was a great time and well worth the time and money. They looked like they were having fun singing for us. They are very talented in playing their instruments. They took time to answer questions at the end. I have watched The Petersens on YouTube for the last four years or so, and decided to take the four hour trip from suburban St. Louis with my niece to see the show. It was so worth the trip... Not only is the Little Opry Theater a small and intimate venue without a bad seat in the house, the show was amazing. My 12 year old niece loved it too. And the whole family is so nice and genuine, they took time after the show to visit and sign whatever for anyone who cared to talk to them. They took time with us and didn't feel rushed at all... Just real talented and nice Christian folks. If you want to see 90 minutes of wonderful entertainment, its the best ticket value in Branson. Kids 12 and under are only $10... Merch was priced pretty reasonable in my opinion, too. If you are already a fan, you won't be disappointed; if you aren't a fan when you go in, you'll leave as a fan. I recently discovered this group on Youtube and really enjoy all their songs. I was visiting Northern Arkansas last week and made a point to drive to Branson to see them in concert and very happy I did. They are an incredibly talented group and very polite and personable. 5 Stars going to the Petersens! First, the venue. This is an incredibly-intimate setting for a Branson show and much of that has to do with the design of the theater putting viewers almost face-to-face with the performers (for middle-area seating). I sat in 313 and it was an amazing seat--with even better seats down the row (higher up such as 320). Next, the music. It was flawlessly performed and sets ranged from classic Country to Folk to Blue Grass, Pop/Rock and Gospel. Each of the "kids" and Emmett had their moment in the show and "Mama" (Karen) did an amazing job. They demonstrated that their Youtube popularity is for real! Finally, I enjoyed their humor (particularly Matt's) not taking themselves or "life" too seriously, while at the same time being serious about their music and their faith, which is a breath of fresh air these days. In sum, this show did not disappoint! I'll be coming back to see the Petersens--Branson's best-kept secret (at least for now).... read more

My wife and I made our first trip to Branson Missouri and made a point to goto a show put on by The Petersens. We have been following The Petersens on Youtube Since the end of 2019. The show they put on is fantastic and the highlight of our trip. We give their parents a great deal of admiration for raising such a great family with so much talent. We went to the Petersons Christmas show on November 9, 2021 and it was delightful! Part of the show was traditional blue grass and part was Christmas music. The theater holds about 200 people so it is an interment, cozy setting. You will not be able to beat the value you get at this performance. read more

I found this family Bluegrass band on either YouTube or by someone posting a video on Facebook and I became an immediate fan. I love their music/song choices, their instrumental skills and oh, those voices - wow! When I realized they lived and played live shows in Branson, in my home state of Missouri I knew I would definitely have to plan a trip to Branson for my family. Well, that opportunity came today, Dec. 9, 2020 and we were so fortunate to be able to see this, someday-world-famous Bluegrass band in a very intimate setting in a small theater at the IMAX complex. When I say intimate I mean intimate! We were no more than 12 feet from the stage and no one in the theater was more than 35 feet from the stage. By, "Intimate" I also mean it was great hearing about how they became a family band, some of the things each family member likes, the song they sang to honor their grandfather at his funeral and on and on. But what really moved me is with every story, every song they sang, especially the ones that praised our Lord and Savior. I imagined myself in their parents, Karen's and Jon's shoes, performing with and listening to their 4 children perfectly playing various instruments and beautifully singing and giving honor God and Christ, our Savior and I cried tears of joy for them. I would say this show would have to be the number one show in Branson. Great sound and because of the theater not being real big, you get a good up close and intimate feeling experience. They stop the show mid way and people can ask questions. I wish good things for this family and know God has great plans for them. read more

I happened across The Petersens on YouTube about 2 years ago and was amazed at how they so skillfully adapted some of the older classic songs to blend with their style and I found the result to be a joy to listen to. This was my first (and probably last) trip to Branson but The Petersens was everything I had hoped for and much more. It is easy to tell that they love what they are doing and, in my opinion, that always makes for a superior end result. We've heard a LOT of Bluegrass bands over the years, but this family band is one of the very best. They all have excellent voices and play their instruments extremely well. As I sat watching them and listening to their music, I couldn't help but think that a person can't help but be in a good mood when listening to them. Very entertaining and talented family! We enjoyed the show tremendously and will tell our family and friends about it when we return home. This show is an underrated Gem in the Branson area. If you have time, make the trip to the Little Opry theater by the IMAX theater and see the Peterson family. We highly recommend this show.
