Such fun!! From start to finish! The pre Bluegrass show was fun!! My favorite part was when they sang the old gospel songs. Reminded me of my Grandparents and family singing alongs at our get togethers. The Stampede was very entertaining! Loved how the North and South duel it out - we were North! We won!!! As for the dinner... that startled me when our waiter just threw down a small rotisserie chicken onto my plate. Was not expecting that! Felt really barbaric... but I guess that's a cowboys life back in the day, around the campfire lol. I would recommend going. Fun time! I was looking forward to this part of our vacation but I just didn't love it. Our server was very nice. She chatted with us at the beginning of the show and we were in the first row which I thought would be a great seat! You can order drinks via a QR code and someone from the bar area will deliver them and they will check everyone's ID no matter how old you are. The drink was not good. Tasted very watered down for lack of flavoring and alcohol. You do get a non alcoholic drink included I ordered the unsweetened tea and it took her a little bit to get it because it's not one of the pitchers they keep handy. She refilled everyone else's drink somewhat regularly and when I asked for a refill she had to serve dessert first which I understand the schedule but then it was pretty much almost towards the end of the show before I got a refill. Once they start serving the food the show is happening and as our server is quickly serving food down the row she is saying something about napkins covering your plate and before I can register what is happening I feel all of this sand hit me in my hair, on my shoulder and in my food. She knew when it was coming and it only happened once during the show but I feel like that was something she could have mentioned when she had our full attention before the show started. Myself and 3 other people in the row needed new plates of food. I know it's hard to make food for that many people all at once but the food was just ok. The chicken was good and the soup was ok. Pork was dry and corn was very chewy. As for the show the horse riding was fine. I think skeeter made the show with her comedy and I liked when they started the competition portion. Overall I wouldn't do it again and may not even suggest it to people to see unless you think it's something your kids would really love. read more

Show was very entertaining and wait-staff was very attentive. For some reason, we weren't included in the place settings for our assigned seats, but they resolved everything prior to the show. Food was good, chicken was moist, corn on the cob was a bit deflated, turnover was tasty. Drinks were constantly topped off. Venue seemed clean and dust-free. Note order tickets ahead of time! Come early for good seats to watch the pre-show, we got to watch an amazing Blue Grass band that was amazing! Also drinks outside of the arena for the preshow cost per drink. The souvenir boot didn't come with any perks. The Stampede show is what you are really here for because the food is meh but filling. They serve Coke products, lemonade, sweet and unsweetened tea. I took very few photos of the show because people need to experience it for themselves, it was amazing! Who doesn't love Dolly Parton's Stampede? This is a great experience for all ages. From the horses as you walk in to the blue grass band pre show they really set you up for an exciting evening. Kids of all ages and adults enjoy the dinner you can eat by hand and the excitement of the show. We have visited both locations and other dinner shows similar to this and always have a great time. It is very pricey but for an evening out in a tourist town it is well worth the price of admission for family time. read more

This was super fun and they really try to keep the audience engaged. The only weird thing is the ticketing process but that might be because of all the time-share related business in the area. If you stop in to buy tickets you dont get them there you come back before the show and goto a different room that really has no lines and all pile in to get to the front desk where they lookup your name, scan the ticket, hand it to you and you just walk thru the other door passing thru some photo booths into the gift shop area. Staff is all super nice and lets you know where to go when asked but if you dont ask you wander around wondering what is going on haha. They have a small bar past the gift shop area which has some live music entertainment before the bell rings and you go into the main arena. It is unassigned stadium seating... you are only assigned by section and row. The food was actually pretty good when you consider they are serving so many at the same time. It was a decent sized super tender Cornish Hen, scoop of mashed potatoes, scoop of pulled pork, little bowl of soup, a corn cob section and then a choice of dessert. Also came with Non-alcoholic drink of lemonade, tea or sweet tea. Overall for the cost it is well worth it probably once every few Branson visits. It is only about an hour plus long show so it is not a whole night venture. read more

This was a pretty fun experience. We had a group of 5 adults, and we attended the Christmas show. It is quite crowded as you wait for the doors to open for the show seating, but it was comfortable once we were seated. It seems like every seat would have a good view. The food was pretty good: soup-very good chicken, pork, apple turnover- good biscuit-ok mashed potatoes -terrible. The show itself was entertaining, but I don't think they were singing live for many of the songs. It seemed like maybe just the main man was singing live. I could be wrong. The horses and other animals were neat, but certain parts of the show were very cheesy. It's worth a visit, but I'm not sure about a repeat visit. read more

We really liked the show and our waiter was great. They work really hard. I think they should have a QR code to tip them (they have one to buy booze and merch) so they get better compensated for their work. I always carry cash but many people don't. The food was pretty good, and there was plenty of it. We got the regular tickets and felt like it was a fair night for dinner and entertainment. Earlier in December I went to Medieval Times in Scottsdale, Arizona and then the day after Christmas I went to Dolly Parton's Stampede. They're both dinner shows and I had to request the celiac meal for both. Prior to the show, my husband and I walked around to check out the horses and the dovecote. They have quite a lot of very beautiful animals in this show and it was nice to see them up close before showtime. After we went inside, my husband got the pre-ordered boot cup with a non-alcoholic slushie as part of the package we bought. I thought the souvenir cup looked really cheap. It's just a tiny, white, plastic boot. I would not repurchase that. The preshow was amazing with 2 brothers and a cousin? Uncle? Playing an upright bass, a banjo and a guitar. Loved it. Highlight of the day. When we found our seats, the chairs are really crammed in together and of course a couple comes in to sit next to us in our row with a huge diaper bag because they had twin babies (probably about 10 months old) that they were going to have be lap children. It was impossible for 4 people to cram in to two tiny seats. Luckily our waiter saw how cramped we all were and moved them to the next section that was empty so they could spread out. He also gave them a third meal so the kids didn't muck up their parents' plate. There needs to be a rule that there are no lap children. Everyone needs a seat. There is no way a baby carrier can even fit in. It should be 1 soul = 1 seat. It's too cramped otherwise. We would have been miserable if the row next to us hadn't been completely empty so that family could move. As someone with celiac disease, I was very disappointed with the food. Instead of the soup, the gluten-free substitution was steamed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots with zero seasoning. Who wants to eat this? Nobody. I would rather have nothing than have a steaming pile of unseasoned fart vegetables. I was also given a nasty, cold Udi's roll. I asked if they had a pat of butter or anything I could put on the roll or vegetables. NOPE! Not an option - only salt, pepper or bbq sauce. The chicken was meh tasting and I ended up taking it home. I also had mashed potatoes and pulled pork. Again, no toppings and finally an Udi's snickerdoodle cookie. I hated the food honestly. Can someone without celiac disease try what they serve celiacs and then decide if they'd be satisfied with that meal? The show was fine. It was Christmas themed. I didn't like that no video was allowed but photos without flash are allowed. No other dinner show that I've been to has that rule. Even though I have a new camera, low light action shots just don't turn out great compared to a video clip. I don't know why the rule can't be "video clips are allowed but please don't film the whole show or more than a minute or two at a time." Overall, I enjoyed the preshow a ton. I loved seeing the horses and birds. I liked the regular show enough, including the ice skating and camels that came out as part of the nativity play. I also loved the fire show rider act. I feel that the naming is deceiving, it was a good western show but lacked Dolly Parton's vibe. No bling or pizzazz... food was okay, and the show Was fast paced. The biggest issue was the lack of know direction or assistance from the staff when it came to seating. Our kids were almost trampled and it took a lot of effort not to yell at ppl. Get there early to see a pre-show and the horses but it would've been worth it for the VIP tickets to miss the chaotic of finding your seat. We visited Dolly Parton's Stampede in Branson with our kids and had a fun evening overall. There was a brief technical issue at the beginning of the show that caused a delay, but the staff handled it quickly and professionally. We definitely recommend arriving early to enjoy the pre-show entertainment--it sets the tone and gives you time to settle in without feeling rushed. Our kids were totally captivated, especially by the horse that jumped through a ring of fire--definitely a highlight! The meal was hearty and tasty: juicy roasted chicken, corn on the cob, a warm biscuit, dessert, and endless soda or water. That said, having also been to the Stampede in Pigeon Forge, we have to say the Branson version didn't quite measure up. The concept is similar, but the Pigeon Forge show felt more polished and impressive in terms of overall spectacle and performance. One big difference we noticed: in Pigeon Forge, the performers and horses come out afterward for photos and quick chats, which made the whole experience feel more personal. In Branson, the audience was quickly ushered out after the show ended, which was a bit disappointing. Still, if you're in Branson and looking for a fun, family-friendly evening, this is a solid choice--especially with kids in tow. read more

VNot sure who's decision it was to insert a regular grands biscuit and instant mashed potatoes , that was a terrible choice, you pay $78 for slop! Folks want real food and with real prices thats what they expect. This place certainly has gone down hill. We have been to Dollys Stampede several times in the last 15 years but that will end now, I have never left so utterly disappointed. The stadium was empty and I am willing to bet that folks are turned off by their crappy cheap menu. The food use to be decent, not anymore, my advice, Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

This was a really unique experience. The seating circles an arena and throughout the meal there are a variety of performances, anything from pig, horse and chicken racing to various visual effects and comedy. As the name implies Dolly Parton music is featured. You get a ton of food. Our meal per person consisted of potato soup, buttermilk biscuit, Cornish hen, pulled pork, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and dessert. It was far too much and I kept thinking about all the food waste. The servers did an excellent job efficiently cleaning dirty dishes, bringing out the next course. This was such a fun and enjoyable experience! The pre-show and stampede were entertaining. My favorite part was seeing all the animals used in the show. First time for us and we didn't know exactly what to expect but we weren't disappointed! We got hung up at Silver Dollar City waiting on a package so missed the pre-show activities. We had a moderate wait before getting seated but not at all unreasonable. Our seats were at the very end and in retrospect the best seats are likely in the middle. That said we got to see everything and the show moves fast. Dinner is served in courses as the show progresses and I found it surprisingly good. It's doubtful you'll go home hungry as they provide doggy bags for everyone. I know we used ours. The servers work hard and it is evident. Great attitudes and very friendly all around. There were lots of acts ranging from horses to aerial and everything in between. All very entertaining and fun for youngsters to oldsters! The Christmas show was absolutely amazing. We got seated on the first floor and had an amazing time! The actors on the north side were amazing, some young man made my 7yos night, every time he rode by he looked right at her and waved at her. Our waiter Angel was great, my daughter for some reason said no to the desert but changed her mind and he brought back one of both because he wasn't sure if she just didn't want the first option or what. I hate that I can't give this five stars. I assumed that it would be like MT, and it is but MT does it so much better! Parking lot is huge so you won't have to worry about parking. As you walk up you get to go past all the horses, so give yourself extra time to walk inside. Food was ok. I didn't expect it to be great so I felt like it being average was about right. The soup was actually kinda good. The chicken, pork, corn, and mashed potatoes were fine. The biscuit wasn't good at all and neither was the dessert. Service was ok. The part I was most disappointed in was the show itself. Parts of it were pretty good but the story line with the "redneck" guy was really stupid and annoying. Overall a super fun experience! Arrive around an hour early for the pre-show with a fun bluegrass band. Also a great opportunity to browse the gift shop without a huge crowd. The wait staff in the theatre work their tails off and are so friendly and accommodating. I have braces, so I can't eat corn on the cob, and our waiter was more than happy to bring me the bowl of steamed veggies that vegetarian folks also get! Get the apple turnover for dessert- you won't regret it. The chocolate coconut cake did not look nearly as good. The only complaint my party had was portion sizes, but also, you get a whole small chicken or hen, so sides I guess can be smaller. I was still full by the end of it. read more

I had high expectations for this show, but unfortunately it didn't fully deliver. Positive: Nativity/Manger scene was beautiful and meaningful. Could be better: pre-show, nobody was giving directions on where to go unless you could find a staff member (there were not too many). Pre-show is okay and has good music/performers. When doors open be ready for chaos because everyone is everywhere, there is no order. Since the name of the show is Stampede, you'd expect to see a lot of the horses, think again, the horses performed no more than 30% of the show time. The show is average and not engaging, with the exception of the Nativity scene. Food is okay, you won't leave hungry. Servers coming and going can distract you from the show at some point. This show for me is now a "been there, done that" not doing it again. I concur with other reviews that there are other shows better than this. read more

I wouldn't recommend the show. The food was abundant as promised and the waiters did their level best to deliver it in a timely fashion and to keep our coffee and soft drink cups full. And the actors displayed wonderful horsemanship, skill and dancing. Three things ruined it for me personally. 1. The fact that they pushed the premium tickets on us and sat us at the far end of the arena (end zone) vs in the middle so we could see the whole show. 2. The waiters blocked a good portion of the show by standing in the aisles when they weren't serving, and 3. for all their hoopla about respecting the military, they didn't offer a military discount to my husband who was wearing a military hat when he bought the tickets! We were in the area so decided to see if we coukd get tickets. The show was about to start so they rushed us through the payment process. When I called the next day they said they couldn't honor the discount after the fact. There were also some technical difficulties in the beginning so the show started about 10-15min late. I've read other critiques that said the food came right when the show started. It must be intentional, because the food still started right when the show started even though the soup was ready to go 15min earlier. I love Dolly Parton and her philanthropy, but this is one of her businesses I can't recommend until they fix things. read more

Personally, we enjoy opportunities to bundle dinner and a show. If you've never experienced "rodeo" it's not a rodeo, but this features similar enough features to experience what rodeos are sort of like. The meal was pretty good. You start with a bowl of creamy vegetable soup. It's delicious. Next, you'll get a biscuit, and a whole entire Hen or Chicken?? I can't remember what they called it. I could not figure out how to eat the whole Hen? Chicken? But this was not an issue, as far as food waste, bc they have "doggy bags" for the leftovers. Hubs notes the "bird" was excellent as his midnight snack, too. You also get a small (like smallll) helping of pulled pork, a smallll scoop of roasted potatoes (so good) and a piece of corn on the Cobb. For dessert, we were offered an apple turnover vs chocolate coconut cake. Trust me what I say: go with the turnover. Everyone around me, who ordered the chocolate coconut cake, regretted it, fully. Roughly 9 of us (in my vicinity) threw our dessert away and tried to laugh it off as a group of strangers - but there was an obvious disgust with the cake. It was soooo..... not good. Drink wise, you drink from a mason jar with unlimited refills of lemonade, tea, sweet tea, or water. There is a bar for those who want an adult beverage to go along with the dinner and show. You can order from the bar from your phone at any point during the show. Not sure if there was a last call. Only ordered one beer. The show isn't very long. But it's not too short, either. So that's good for those with shorter attention spans. There were ample amounts of opportunities for participation from the crowd, which seemed to get the audience a lot more into the show itself. The gift shop is huge. Before and after the show, you can walk by the stables and get a close look at the horses. Overall, I would recommend that everybody go see the show at-least once. Whole family went tot he stampede and it did not disappoint. We got there about 4 for the 530 show. The front desk lady got us our tickets and gave us the scoop of best way to approach the night. Her name was Abigail and she answered all my silly questions with a smile and added to them. I really was delighted as my father in law has some mobility issues and with the heat we wanted to make it the best experience for him. She really helped us conquer this and he had a blast. The show doors open about 430-445 and you go into the salon for some pre show beverage while 3 gents played some bluegrass for you. They have some checkers and arcade games. We had a family checkers match while we jammed to the blue grass. At about 5-515 we were herded into the main coral! My family was in section b2 for the north! Great seats and section. Our server was fantastic!!!!! The show was a blast everyone in the family enjoyed it. The stunts they pulled on the horses had me in awh! This was the best show we saw in Branson on our trip. read more

Although the servers keep moving in front of your view they are rather quick and don't really disturb watching the entertainment. But I have done them a lot and while I enjoyed it, parts were a little boring to me. This one has a very patriotic theme. It's a Dolly show, but her only appearance in it are them mentioning her a couple of times and playing her songs. One snafu I had, and this may have just been our waiter, was that I was told they don't have any vegetarian options instead of the chicken. They serve the chicken whole, and I don't eat things off the bone, so I had to skip that course. But later I see their brochure says they have vegetarian options. So ask ahead to be sure. read more

We were spending our Thanksgiving in Branson and decided to have our Thanksgiving diner at the Dolly Parton Stampede. There is an ample amount of parking available, but it was kind of tight because we arrived as the show before ours was letting out. The parking lot was crazy. Checking in was very easy. You pick up your tickets and check in at the desk and then they send you to take souvenir photos. You can skip the photo. If you plan on buying the photo, I would recommend waiting to you get home and get it directly from Magic Memories. They wanted to charge me $60 for my photos at the theater. I got the digital downloads for $30 online. If you had been to Medieval Times, Pirates Dinner Show, or anything similar, than you know the set up of this one. They put all the guest in a waiting area with drinks and music for pre-show activities. It is a party like atmosphere. I took advantage of some of the adult beverages from the bar. All of their drinks are served in a souvenir cup. Once they are ready to let you in the arena, a dinner bell is rang and then the real stampede begins. We had really good seats and did not do the VIP upgrade to get them. We choose to sit on the North side. We were at the Christmas show, so we were on Team North Pole. You can order booze and merchandise from your seat using a QR code. I found that buying one of the flags was a waste. The show as entertaining and very interactive. There is limited audience participation where they went on the area floor and participated in events. As I mentioned, the show was the Christmas version. So, the first half of the show had a Christmas theme to it with scenes about glow toys and a really cool nativity scene that has live animals and a dove that is trained to fly to the suspended angel. There was also some horse riding exhibitions. You will have a heavy scent of gas and horse. We then at dinner, which consisted of a Cornish hen, potato skin, soup, corn on the cob, and an apple turnover. They provide doggie bags for those that cannot finish their meals. My kids, who do not normally eat much, really liked their meal. The completion part of the show begins. The South won the competition during my diner. After the show the horse riders line the walls, where kids and other visitors can pet the horses and interact with the actors.You exit through the gift shop. I found the show entertaining enough. My littles were really into it. I would recommend checking this show out. It is good for all ages, has some decent chow and friendly staff. read more
